❉Shikai Appearance Kumori's Shikai appearance
❉Shikai Information It's a reiatsu draining type of Shikai. When ever the enemy is hit by the back side of Kumori, where the spikes are, a small portion of their reiatsu is sucked inside the blade. The enemy would barely notice the drain as it is almost undetectable as a shadow. The front side does not have a special ability.
❉Shikai Techniques
✿1. Black world - Everything surrounding Yumiko and her zapakuto would turn black, enclosing her and the enemy in a black space. The inside would be too dark for the enemy to see properly. Here, Yumiko would camouflage as a shadow and attack the enemy, weakening him.
✿2. Azure world - After using the black world, if the enemy is still capable to move, Yumiko's Azure world encases the enemy in a blinding blue light. When the light hits the enemy, a shadow would of course appear behind him. With in the shadow will then strangle the enemy, immobilizing him.
✿3. Blue Shadow - All of the reiatsu stored inside Kumori is then turned into a combination of blue and black kido blast.

❉Bankai Information As Kumori's blade grew longer, it also becomes faster. Because of Yumiko's appearance, her speed and power increases while dark shadows would float around her. These Shadows has the same ability of her Shikai, absorbing reiatsu, but instead of storing it, the reiatsu is transferred to Yumiko to heal what ever wounds she have, if none then it increases her power. She can also control these shadows at her will
❉Bankai Attacks
✿1. Shadow dance - Yumiko drags ther zanpakuto around her, encasing her in a dark blue circle. She then points he blade towards the enemy. All of the shadows present in the area will then enclose within close proximity of the enemy, attacking him. Each shadow is as sharp as a blade and has their own way of attacking, depending on where the shadow came from and it's original owner.
✿2. Shadow Step - A shadow clone version of Yumiko materialize and fights along her side. It fights the same style as Yumiko. Like all her shadows, it also has the ability to drain the enemies reiatsu.
✿3. Shadow world - Yumiko slashes through the air, and everything will be covered in shadows.It absorbs the light and transform it into Yumiko's reiatsu. She then uses it as a huge blast aiming at the enemy. As long as there is light that casts a shadow, her power increases.

Yumiko was born from a low ranked but beautiful shinigami in the fourth division. She grew up only knowing her mother. When ever she asked about things regarding her father, her mother would just smile at her and tell her father is a very beautiful man and because of this beauty that her mother chose to hide her from her father. She would always tell her that it was because she loves her father so much that she knows he'll be happier not knowing he have a daughter for now. Yumiko would never understand it when ever this was told to her, but she respected her mother's choice, because she thought that her mother's love for her father was beautiful.
Because of different people always commenting about her beautiful looks, Yumiko became vain and self-centered about her looks. She lived loving her self more and more as days passed by. But despite that, she was also a hard worker. Because her mother was in the 4th division, she would always see wounded shinigami's carried down everyday. They always came from the 11th division, because as explained by her mother, the division was full of barbaric idiots. She hated the image of ruined beauty because of their wounds, and because of that, she trained really hard to be strong so she wouldn't have to gain scars and wounds when fighting.
A 15 years before the execution of a certain shinigami named Kuchiki Rukia, Yumiko's mother died, without even telling her who her father was. Orphaned, not knowing who to run to, she enrolled in the Shinigami Academy. At the Academy, Yumiko worked hard, day and night she would train herself in hoping one day of being a full pledge shinigami. For her, it may just be the only way for her to find her father. The only clue she had was that he is beautiful, which made it even harder for her to find him since there were a lo of good looking men in soul society. Sadly, her zanpakuto's ability was far from her mother's. She was a fighting type. She gained a Kido-type zanpakuto named Kumori. At first, she hated her zanpakuto as it was a shadow.For her, it wasn't beautiful enough. But one evening, as she trained under the moonlight, she saw her own shadow casting beautiful movements as she train. It made her appreciate the beauty of things often disregarded such as shadows.
While in the Academy, the instructors, despite her vain attitude that would always irk them, would see great potential in her leadership ability, specially on large scale missions. Her ability to perceive and insight abilities and movements proved to be a great use in military tactics.This made them vouched for her to be a captain when the then 10th division captain, Hitsugaya Toushirou, after years of being the child prodigy decided to retire early and live a normal life that he didn't have, but in the condition that he would return in case he was needed. Yumiko stepped into the position and became a nice but strict captain. She would always tell her subordinate that all of them are beautiful if they would just work harder, that they all are just a rough stone waiting to be polished properly to become a valuable gem.
