㊋☬♨ Welcome to Ember Village! ♨☬㊋
- Nestled in a rugged mountain valley in Rakuren, Ember Village is known far and wide as the Rakuren region's premier destination for anything and everything having to do with Fire-type pokemon. An often-times thick cloud of steam seems to be ever-present over the village, as Ember Volcano - the Village's best-known landmark - is somewhat-active. No need to worry, though; it hasn't erupted in quite some time.
The people of Ember Village are always hospitable to those passing through the quaint little area that they call home, and are willing to share some of their medicinal knowledge. Did you know that the heat from Ember Volcano is what's used to heat the sauna-like sands that folks rest their aching bones in? Well it's true; those who have aches in their bones and/or muscles are known for flocking to Ember Village to soothe their aches, finding the sands to be quite enjoyable. The sauna-like sands aren't the only medicinal benefit to the Village; their natural hot springs - heated by the underground magma flowing from the Volcano - are a popular tourist destination, both for their healing prowess, and for those that simply enjoy a good soak.
Since Ember Village is so close to a somewhat-active Volcano, columns of steam have been known to sprout up at almost-unpredictable intervals. If you're a native of the Village, you know that they don't mean any real harm (in fact, the steam columns are more-or-less responsible for why the Village is covered in a cloud of steam to begin with). And if you're not? Well, let me just say this - while they are rather mesmerizing to look at, I wouldn't recommend playing in and/or with them, as a steam burn is something that isn't all that enjoyable.
Not everything in Ember Village has an Old World charm to it. The Village's Pokemon Center is very advanced, having both man-made medicines for your pokemon, stocking the natural healing supplements that the Village is known for, and having a rather large supply of Burn Heals and Lava Cookies (the latter being a popular treat among tourists). Why so many Burn Heals, you ask? Well, read on to find out. -

㊋☬♨ The Ember Village Gym ♨☬㊋
- The Ember Village Gym is, in essence, designed to look like a volcanic valley. No, that's not actual lava; that's just how the floor of the Gym looks. The afore-mentioned columns of steam return here as the Gym's gimmick, causing the challenger to have to navigate them in order to reach the Gym Leader.
Speaking of... The Gym Leader for the Ember Village Gym is none other than miss Kristen Elliott herself (although for the record, she prefers to be called by her nickname, 'Kris'). As her hometown suggests, Kris(ten) is Rakuren's top authority when it comes to Fire-type pokemon. Good thing, too, since that's her type specialty. The Trainers that are lucky enough to defeat her will receive the Inferno Badge, along with TM 35 (Flamethrower, a classic Fire-type move). -

㊋☬♨ In Closing ♨☬㊋
- Whether it's the medicinal sauna-like sands, the refreshing hot springs, or simply enjoying a Lava Cookie, Ember Village has everything that a Fire-type fanatic could dream of. If you're looking to take the Gym Challenge, Kris is the seventh Gym Leader that you'll face. Hopefully, her battling style won't leave you with a burning sensation as you head for your eighth and final Badge. -
