I thought it was a very good idea actually and I was thinking about it.
Though I'm one voice out of many.
I think you should pm some of the members who aren;t giving any sort of opinion though, just to be safe.

Well, if they don't respond, then they must not care. If they don't look at the announcements, then I don't see how PMs would help. :I

I think it is a great idea. I know I have fallen out of role playing but now that it is the summer I would consider starting back up if these role plays restarted. I also think that all guilds will get an influx of members now that it is the summer and it is difficult sometimes to join in an RP that has developed a lot.

I kind of think it would be a waste if they were ALL restarted. For the ones that are actually still active, it would mean months or even years of work and character development erased. I think it would be good to restart some of the RPs that don't have a lot of history, but for the ones that do it would be really sad.
What if we were to try a partial re-start?
We could keep all the old posts, and members could re-submit current characters for re-approval with a label stating that they're currently in use, not new, and state where they are, what they're doing, and what plan if any each character has been decided to act upon with other characters.
This way, active characters who are currently in use in a storyline wouldn't be interrupted, but people who don't come back to re-post their characters within an announced deadline of, say, two weeks, won't be counted as active and any storylines involving them can be abandoned. Then we can get our active roleplayers together instead of having them attempting to play off of dead RP partners.
How does that sound?

I think I get it,
like you restart all the newest rps with the least amount of development
but the ones with the most development you should leave alone except to delete characters/ people who aren't interested in it any longer.
But that's what I under stood from it.
I think it's smart but I also think it'd be a little difficult for newer characters to join because of the rps development.
It's really your call in the end though.

I'm someone that stopped role-playing :/ I would like to role-play on here again but I didn't want to continue posting because (in the Hogwarts theme role play where I played) it would take a few days for someone to respond and I'm impatient. I know I'm not helping much but my reason for stopping might be the same as others.
