Personality: Hazama is a rather carefree fellow he enjoys the company of a few people at a time, preferring to use most of his time off to take casual strolls, converse with a few people, or sample and eat various cuisines. In terms of clothing, he prefers his own attire, no matter the comments he may receive. If one ever needed to find him, they simply would have to go to the best eatery nearby, or one that Hazama had simply not yet visited.

Biography: Hazama was born and orphaned in a single night into the Rukongai's 59th District. By born, of course, he means sent to the Rukongai, although how he got there no one is quite sure. Shinigami records have actually indicated his reiatsu signature several times, causing a light, but unimportant fluctuation in population charts. Eventually, this caused worry in some divisions, that a lone man was entering and exiting the Rukongai so freely and they began to record his entrances and exits, even actually getting to talk to him several times. Although Hazama showed no memory of anything other than appearing in the Rukongai, he could tell them his name. When questioned if he had seen a Shinigami before, he merely answered only here in the Rukongai. This told them he had at least made it across into the Spiritual Realm without Shinigami aid. Still, his presence was unnerving to those who saw him simply come and go as he pleased, as if he was on a timer. It was decided, after checking with Division Twelve to make sure he wasn't their fault, that the next time Hazama appeared, he would be brought into custody under the pretense that he was being recruited. This happened sooner than the Gotei 13 expected, but their response was swift, and Hazama was taken in by the Third Division, simply because they got to his new location first. Due to requiring Hazama to remain in view of Division members constantly, he was literally pushed through Shino Academy and became a Shinigami with no training whatsoever, consequently giving the Third Division a useless member.
The first thing to do was to give Hazama a zanpakuto. This was necessary because he was an unknown and there was no telling what would happen if he found out his recruitment was simply pretense. However, this was where things became worrisome. Instead of simply going into the room to find a zanpakuto that would accept him, Hazama merely glimpsed around and grabbed one. Whether it was sheer luck he was not rejected entirely by the zanpakuto or whether he had simply known was a different matter. Immediately after, there was a disturbance and Hazama was given his first mission. He would be watched, but not interrupted, not even if he were to die. It was in this fight the Gotei 13 obtained a glimpse of what he could do.
The disturbance was a spiritual beast on rampage, a hollow that had somehow leaked into the world of the Shinigami, and it was only of the lower class. The hollow, upon seeing Hazama began to rage even more, attacking him with great blood lust. Hazama, however, seemed unfazed and returned the creature's ferocity with an extravagant display of Hakuda prowess, bending his body in odd ways to dodge attacks much like a contortionist, delivering several sharp, albeit weak, kicks, only removing his zanpakuto to finish off the creature and decapitate it. His skills were soon reported and his victory spread quickly throughout the lower ranks of the various Divisions, some chalking it up to luck and others raw talent. Either way, he did begin to receive more formal training from members within his own Division for quite some time, in return for showing them how he fought the hollow until Hazama decided to stop doing so.
Several years passed after that day and Hazama did make a large enough name for himself to earn several small promotions, making it up to one of the many 20th seats, and even obtaining a title that started out as a bit of a joke. He was promoted once again after he obtained his Shikai and climbed the ranks until he hit the position of Third Seat. Now somewhere around 40 years had passed since Hazama was taken under custody by the Gotei 13 and it was agreed in the majority that he should be told. There were many precautions taken, but they proved useless simply because Hazama merely laughed the revelation off, not caring at all. This was the first relief that the Gotei 13 had had over Hazama since he was "captured" those 40 years ago.
Even more years passed after the revelation and Hazama seemingly taking the news that he was in fact a prisoner all that time. In truth, he had been brooding on it and wondering if some form of vengeance would ever be needed. His decision still remains a mystery, even to himself. Of course, such dark thoughts never did keep him from climbing the ladder of success and he still tries to do so and plans to do so even after he hits the supposed "top".
Family: Hazama has no family, not that he has memory of nor that the Gotei 13 can seem to confirm. Quite like he materialized out of thin air with nothing but a name and the clothes on his back.

Shikai Abilities:
- Dokusei kage - Hazama readies this technique in advance (1-4 post). After it is readied, he steps forward and splits himself apart, one heading for the foe, a fake him, and himself, the real him, moving in from the side or away from the combat. Either 1 post later, or upon being struck, the doppelganger detonates and sprays a black venom onto the surrounding area. This venom messes with the eye sight and causes blurry vision. It also eats away at inanimate objects slightly, causing small holes in them, or bumps and weak spots. The strength of this acid increases with the amount of charge time put into it.
Hebikyanon - Hazama charges this move at least 1 post ahead of time (max of four). On the next post, a giant mass of serpents will erupt from the ground towards his foe(s). These serpents will also try and bite the foe, leaving them with a slight numbing poison that will get worse with multiple bites. It should be noted that as the charge time increases, the amount of pillars increases as well as the speed with which they move.
Kakusareta kiba- This technique can be utilized instantly or be charged ahead of time for up to 4 posts. If used instantly, this technique unleashes a wave of reiryoku forward like a violent wind that can lacerate foes. When this move is charged for any period of time, Hazama may actually place a mark upon a surface, via direct contact, including the foe themselves. In order to lay a mark, Hazama must lay the attack at least 1 post before it's intended use. When the charged version is released, the mark fires off a large snake that will attempt to bind, constrict, and bite its target. The snake has a large amount of strength and if a bite is successful, will afflict the victim with a toxin that causes a burning sensation within the lungs and throat, as if the flesh is raw and being rubbed against. This toxin is stronger and the snake is faster and stronger as well with charge time. It should be noted he can only lay one mark at a time.

- Doku ransu- Hazama 's only true, non delayed technique. This ability can be used rapid fire in the middle of a fight with no cool down. Using reiryoku, Hazama may either fire off a short wave of venom that causes no discernible problems or cause large snakes (up to 4) to rise up from the ground and attack the foe in an attempt to constrict them.
Kurage bakuhatsu- Hazama slams the ground or some other inanimate object and places a 4mm (2 inch) mark that can last up to 5 posts (minimum of one post). He can only place one of these marks at a given time. Upon activation, the area detonates, spraying a toxin that can cause extreme sluggishness to the point of total lack of movement. The blast range is three meters. Destroying this mark in anyway (i.e. tearing it in half, stabbing through it, destroying the object it is on) will negate this technique. There is a catch to this poison however. Clothed portions of the body are unaffected and it only affects the points the poison comes into contact with originally. This means that if the poison were to hit you on your right shoulder and left ankle and make skin contact, only those areas would be affected. However, if you were clothed entirely from head to toe with no skin showing, you would remain entirely unaffected.
Dadoku senpū- This technique utilizes a large amount of reiryoku compacted into a small form. Hazama must charge this for 1 post before using it. He can charge this technique for 10 posts at most. Upon use, this technique is focused into his hand and then thrust forward in any direction. At the end of the thrust, it creates a circle that is 2 meters in diameter for every post it was charged (max of 20m). Then, the circle spawns a massive blast of toxin that burns the skin up into the air followed by a utterly massive group of serpents meant to tangle and trap the foe inside. This all happens during the same post. After this is done (1 post later), the entire column explodes in every direction but towards the circle, completing the technique. The length of the column as well as the explosion range is also (2mx # of posts [max of 20m]). It should be noted that using this technique during rain or stormy conditions will create a form of acid rain that burns the skin of all hit by it. This acid is formed by the venom used in the technique and can eventually eat through most forms of barriers and armors.

Hohō:
- Dashing: A most basic technique that allows the user to throw him/herself to a certain direction using a certain angle of which way the the stance is directed and executed. Based on an individual's atributes, dashing can be quite a moderately fast move instead of running. Also depending on the distance, dashing can be quite useful if in closer range to the opponent. This technique is basically for all ranks.
Shunpo (Flash-Step): A movement technique that allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow. This technique requires a very high level of training, thus a most difficult one to obtain. One, who is of a high lieutenant ranking, must be able to possess Shunpo. Furthermore, it is a most fearsome mid-range/long-range speed known to be the exceeding ability than dashing. All in all, this ability can only be used by lieutenants and captains. For lieutenants it is nearly mastered, yet not perfected. Therefore, it is only of mid-range level 1. For captains Shunpo is of a level 2 maximum ability in which it is fully perfected for both mid-range and long-range.
Air Walk: Another skill, though not necessarily related, is the Soul Reaper ability to walk on air using spiritual energy. By collecting and solidifying spiritual particles beneath their feet, Soul Reapers can gain traction on thin air to either freely move about or to stop themselves from falling. This particular ability can only be obtained from officer level. Furthermore, it cannot necessarily be used every so often, especially for officers. It is an ability that can only be temporarily used but cannot last for a very long period of time. However, for lieutenants, they can stay on air for quite a bit longer and for captains, it can be held for quite a long while considering the great amount of riatsu within a captain ranking individual.
Utsusemi: This is one of the two, that Youruichi developed as well. It is the 4 ways of the Shihou through Shunpo which is also known as "Utsusemi". It's ability is a speed known to be so fast that the user leaves an afterimage of him/herself. Its affect is most absolute, superb, and flawless if ever fully perfected. And to be more specific, Utsusemi's speed is so fast, that the enemy can practically feel and touch the physical body of the afterimage and not even know the very fact that it is nothing more but an afterimage. Its very image can easily deceive the eyes of the enemy. This technique is very rare, thus few captains are able to possess such a flawless ability. Furthermore it is most lethal when combining Senka after Utsusemi is executed.

Contortionist Fighting - Hazama is an extremely flexible combatant, able to twist and fold his body like a contortionist mid fight. This makes him seem increasingly like a snake. Most of his fighting is done with violent, sharp kicks delivered at painful points along the body rather than straight up power.
Chain and Steel - Although not a master with his weapon, Hazama is greatly skilled with his weapon and shows it. To him, the Kusarigama is perfect and allows him to strike at a distance, from around corners, as well as block, leave gashing wounds or even capture an opponent.
Immunity - Hazama is immune to most poisons be it from living animals or his own zanpakuto. He is not, however, immune to other poisons delivered by other zanpakuto due to the fact said poisons are created by reiryoku and spiritual beings much more ancient than himself.
