Two women grew up being the best of friends. They continued to be the best of friends long into their lives, until one had to move away. Both were middle-aged and had children by the time they saw each other again. When they got together for a tearful reunion, they noticed that one had a daughter and the other had a son, both around the same age.
Being the nosy ladies they were, they decided that they would marry.
And that's where it all beings.

Being sat down by her mother she then felt her eyes widen. Glaring to her and her father she stood up out of her seat. Slamming her hands on the table her chair had fallen behind her. Next to her was her supposed husband to be."I'm going to MARRY HIM?!" Screeched out her voice as she pointed to a picture of a young man. She scoffed stubbornly looking away as she moved forward out of the room. Walking out of the dining room she slammed the door grabbing her purse. Practically running out of the house she slammed the door hard. She ran down the sidewalk quickly nearly bumping into someone she soon found herself at a park. Sitting upon a swing she swung back and forth wearing her light orange sweater while her hair was styled.
Swinging she glared down before standing up stomping her feet idly."Like hell I'm going to be sold off like some animal.." She yelled out before blinking seeing a few kids stop their playing. Sighing deeply she sat down on the swing sucking on a sucker. She didn't know how she was going to get out of this. Taking a deep breath she let it out looking down to the ground shaking her head.

 "Mom, I am a grown man. I've moved out. I have a steady job while going to college. You cannot force me to marry anybody," Liam insisted. His mother started rambling, making him feel guiltier and guiltier, though he wasn't at fault. She kept chipping at his walls, cracking them, breaking through. And it was starting to piss him off. He stared at the picture of the girl she had provided him with, trying to picture meeting her. Then marrying her, living with her, starting a family with her. "I am not going to marry that girl!" he shouted, storming out of the kitchen and collecting his dog, Echo, to go for a jog. "You can't make me!" he added before running out of the door.
Once he was out, the breeze helped him cool down, and he sighed. "What am I going to do, Ekkie?" he vainly asked his husky. Echo just blinked her pale blue eyes and barked. Liam smiled sadly and rubbed her fluffy ears. "Aww, at least you agree with me." Echo barked again and followed him as they trotted to the park.

Ȥoey Ԏrader T h e B r i d e t o b e Walking about the park she noticed a guy with a guitar. Smiling she walked over to him. Listening to him sing and play his accoustic guitar. Though once he finished she had thrown her sucker away."Would you mind if I used your guitar for a moment?" She asked gently before he happily oblidged to her request. Tuning the guitar she took a breath looking down. Beginning to play a song she even began to sing as she played it. She was extremely talented since her father used to teach her when she was little. But that was because he didn't have a job then. Now he was one of the biggest manager in his business. Though this song was her own, she had written it for a school talent contest she had competed by herself.
Looking up her dark mahogony colored eyes grew almost wide seeing a small crowd of people. Though sighing she sang out putting all of her emotions in it. Even the man from before was getting a bunch of tips from her singing. Singing out she knew it wouldn't be long before she had to meet that boy. Closing her eyes she played the guitar as she sang. Though she had her eyes closed her fingers danced around the guitar.

Liam and Echo jogged by some girl singing on a bench. She looked kind of familiar, but Liam was too preoccupied to think about that, or even to listen to her song. Besides, he liked rock music better. He sat down in another bench a bit away from her and watched as people started surrounding her. He wasn't really paying attention, and just pet Echo while thoughts ran through his mind. "I don't want to get married," he whispered to Echo.

Finishing her song, she smiled once some people applauded murmuring a thankyou. She then thanked the man before walking back. She'd have to go back sooner or later. Sighing deeply she sulked a bit as she walked. Her purse hung loosely on her arm as she passed by a young man with a dog. Though stopping she then looked at him closer. Blinking she then held out an out stretched arm her finger pointing to him."Oh my god.. It's you..!!" She said loudly before blushing furiously, rummaging through her purse. She took out the picture of him gazing to it then to him she felt her eyes widen. Looking to the side she jumped back a little seeing his dog. If anyone knew her they knew she was afraid of big dogs.
Her mohogony colored eyes widened as she glanced at him. Her jaw was slightly ajar from him being there. Glaring to the side she felt her stubborn side come over. No way in hell was she going to marry the likes of him."I'm not going to settle for the likes of you, stupid.. Ugh.." She spoke out quickly before glaring to him. Her eyes for once being hardened and cruel. She didn't want to even see him and yet here he was. Cursing under her breath she glared to him pursing her lips.

Startled and offended, Liam looked up. "Excuse m- Oh NO!" he shouted, just as loud as her. "Now I recognize you; you are that prissy girl...Geez, and now you are also rude? I'd be the one settling," he snorted, standing up. He was at least a hand taller than her. He glared back from his elevated position. Echo barked and licked Liam's hand. He patted her head, sparing a glance to the dog before stalking away, ignoring the pink-haired girl. He knew Echo didn't like the negative tension that came from the two of them and he wasn't going to force her to suffer it like he had to.

Ȥoey Ԏrader T h e B r i d e t o b e Quirking her eyebrow hearing him before scoffing. Glaring up to him once he stood up. She muttered a few curses before walking off in the opposite direction. She hated his guts he was the lowest of the low. Grumbling a few curses she couldn't believe she was called prissy. Walking forward she looked at her watch her eyes widening."It can't be this late ALREADY!!" She said quickly screeching the last part before she ran forward. She'd be late to her job if she didn't make it in time. Running she jumped over a man kneeling down to tie his shoe. Landing gracefully anyone would be able to tell she was athletic.
Making it in time to her job she quickly got dressed in an outfit and walked out to her first table. Stopping infront of it she smiled looking to them."How can I help you, nya~.." She said cutely her hands doing the cat pose near her cheek before she smiled. Taking down the orders she excused herself walking back to the kitchen. Grabbing a few drinks she placed their order on the counter before walking back setting down their drinks. Walking about the resteruant she quickly got orders and worked just as hard as anyone else did if not harder. After this it'd be college and she knew she was going to be tired as usual in class.

Liam went to his dad's house a couple blocks away. He stormed past the kitchen, past the living room, up the stairs, and into his room. There, he let Echo off her leash and sat on his bed. He set his laptop in his lap and opened it, setting to work to get his mind off of everything that was happening. Currently, he was working on a big-name project that had people pretty excited across the globe. It was his first game that was so publicized and he needed it to be perfect. PERFECT! "The golems keep twitching...Stop it, stupid little monster. You can't give me problems; you aren't even all that important, only noobs will go after you!"

Finishing her shift she walked out rubbing her neck idly. She was hurting a bit from carrying all those damn drinks and plates of food. Walking forward she knew her college was just a bit farther from here. But it was relatively close so she could walk there. Thinking about that guy from earlier she scoffed moving forward quickly her hair dancing behind her as she walked quickly."I'm rude? Tch.. I just don't want to be marrying yet.." She mumbled quietly to herself a bit hurt. Though she didn't even know the guy she didn't even want to. Glaring forward she walked quickly reaching her college easily.
Walking about the campus she looked up to her classroom. Letting out a groan from a clear sign on the door saying Class Canceled for tonight. Stretching she sighed deciding she'd have to walk all the way home. Pulling out her i-pod from her purse she placed the headphones in her ears. She had been making her own mp3 downloads so she could listen to her music. Listening to her song she smiled humming along walking forward. Singing out quietly as she walked she found herself on the road to her house. Holding her purse over her shoulder she sang out smiling looking forward. Entering her house she closed the door being quiet for once. Sneaking past her parents she ran up the stairs closing her door. Changing out of her clothes she placed on a tanktop and shorts grabbing her guitar. Sitting on her bed she began to play it idly forgetting her problems with it.

Liam worked out a few kinks from the programming. The mermaids no longer disappeared randomly, the golems stopped twitching, the fairies' flying was smoother, and the dragon fire faded colors. That was all he felt like doing for right then, since just that bit took him a few hours. He sighed and pushed his hair out of his eyes. He didn't feel like cooking and his dad left a while ago to do dad things. He decided to just go out to get something to eat, grabbed a couple bills his dad had left on the counter for him, and left. Echo stayed behind to sleep.

Ȥoey Ԏrader T h e B r i d e t o b e Sitting on her balcony she had been playing for awhile. But now her ex boyfriend was on her mind. She had written a song about their relationship. Grabbing her guitar that sat in its stand next to her. Placing the strap around her shoulders she glared down."Love me, huh? Tch jerk.." She muttered harshly before she picked her pick from her guitat strings. Beginning to play a song as she played she began to sing her emotions of their messy breakup slipping into the song. She didn't even notice her father pull into their driveway. Singing out she put all of her emotions into this one song. In truth the reason why she didn't want to marry anyone anytime soon. Was because she had been dating him for two years and talked of marriage with him.
But in the end she only found out he was more interested in her ex bestfriend than her. Feeling her eyes burn she shook her head singing out. She could feel the tears streaming down her cheeks. But she hated him, she hated his every being. If you truly loved someone then why would you do that to them? Singing out she ignored her fathers voice calling out her name. Glancing forward she sang out looking out to the city lights.

Liam got a sandwich and a pop from a nearby subway and wandered back home to eat. As he ate, he searched the internet and read web-comics, occasionally taking a swig of his pop. He completely ignored any thoughts about his "bride" and focused on enjoying his night to the best of his abilities. Echo climbed onto his bed with him and nudged the laptop forward enough for her to lay her muzzle on his lap, too. Liam was fine with this, since he could just rest his wrists on her face and still type.
