Yeah, a lot of the people were unactive... Maybe we should have a member clen up? Get rid of the unactive ones?

If you sort the member list by post count, you hit people with zero posts at page four of nine. Yeesh.
I post in the anime threads on the front page from time to time, but it's hard to keep posting when no one else is (or they just post 'this is the best show ever' or whatever). I check this guild fairly often, but I haven't posted in the last month or so because of this.
Would a general chatterbox/spam thread help at all? It won't do much for RPs (I'd help there, but I am a terrible RPer and never got very far when I did a couple with friends), but it gives people a place to post about whatever they want without having to start new threads.* It varies with the guild, but I've been in a few where it's worked pretty well and ended up being a major source of activity.
An introduction thread might be nice, too. It gives new people somewhere to start posting in the guild if nothing else catches their eye, and it gives you a convenient way to find and welcome new members.
Aside from that, maybe set up some sort of event/contest and send out an announcement about it? That might get some people to show up and start posting. You could also use announcements to let people know when you're starting new RPs and whatnot, as well.
If you've got people that still aren't posting after you've fixed up the guild and sent out announcements (and given them a week or so to respond), then they probably don't care and you can start getting rid of inactive members.
* Especially since there's a rule against starting new anime threads. If I want to post about how Show X, someone first has to notice my request, give me the okay, and start the thread. That's a ridiculous amount of hoops to jump through to just say 'I like this show' or to post a video, especially since a lot of these threads don't get any activity after that.

All in all, I recommend a member clean up but first send an announcement saying that you're going to do one, so those who care are aware and will make sure you don't delete them, and those who don't care, well that's obvious...

You clearly have a good head on your shoulders. Everything you have written is what needs to be done.
To bad everything we write is invisible to the captain and crew. In the end they will do what they want. Honestly, this guild is dead. The guild rules are ridiculous, and the crew has almost no interest in conversing with anyone. I can't even talk about my favorite anime here.

Okay, well this guild isn't dead compared to others, in fact my guild has the most of five members and I'm still advertising, although I've recently started trying to get it popular anyways, so yeah. If you want to give suggestions to this guild, send them to me through PM. I'll do what I can.

I don't want a member cleanup yet. It'll get rid of too many members, and we don't have that many in the first place.
I'm going to do some rearranging and add other stuff to do. Wait a bit before you do anything drastic. Fair enough smile Also if I do anything, I'd ask for your permission first cuz your the captain.
