The fairies inhabit a tiny world of their own; hidden and unaccessible by any creature or Pearlaice, this is where they live in peace. They live in a meadow-like field, which is surrounded by high rocks; sheltering and hiding them. Thanks to the magic of the fairies, their meadow is abundant with all kinds of flowers there are, some even designed and created by the fairies themselves.
They have their own miniature society where they school their youngsters how to survive. Their impish nature does not prevent any of the elders to scold their children when they have played a prank on someone; especially not when that someone is a creature other than a fairy.
The fairies have several important places.
The Healing Houses
The Magic Meadow
Both are used to train the magic of the fairies. Usually, a fairy specialises in one of those fields and although still being able to successfully perform the other field, it's not as powerful as it could have been. Some of the older fairies can use both types of magic with equal power.
When fairies are among each other; they are able to speak to each other normally, but because they are so small, their speech is usually too fast for humans or Pearlaice to pick up. All they hear is a chittering and tweeting, much like a bird. They are able to speak telephatically to another creature if they so choose; but this is rare.
