Well, uh, I'm Captain now. Apparently. And I was just wondering if anybody thought if it would be a good idea to clean up the guild a little? I want to keep things generally how LadyDusklight had it, but (no offense to you, Dusklight) the guild has gotten a bit cluttered. Am I the only one who thinks this? If so, I won't change anything. If not, then I'd like ideas on how to organize it a bit. I know that so many forums can be intimidating. Um, well, let me know, everyone. I want your opinions on this! IrksomeCat Captain

Well, I'm pretty glad that the guild is starting to show signs of coming back from the dead. Since I was pretty sad when it started to go dead. Anyway, I personally like it the way that it is now, and I also think it has gotten a bit cluttered. I was thinking that maybe in a few of the roleplays they could be cleaned or something like that so it could be less cluttered. But I don't think the guild itself should be restarted, just a few of the roleplays that have gotten a bit too cluttered.

Thank you for sharing your opinion, it really means the world to me. cat_crying
I understand what you are saying. I wasn't suggesting that we restart the guild; I'm too lazy to do something of that proportion. I meant more along the lines of moving around the forums.
Other members, please share your opinions, also.

Well with the profiles, it seems really cluttered and disorganized. Why not have a profile topic, then have other people put their characters in their own subtopic. Just a suggestion to keep it all a little organized. Btw, I'm a happy that the guild is coming back to life.

That's a good idea, I'm glad you shared it. I'd like to keep the profiles with the corresponding RP to not get people mixed up. Or, wait, is that what you are saying? Sorry, could you elaborate? I feel like you are going somewhere good with this.
To be honest, I am, too. I'm glad others feel this way. (:

Yeah, I must agree with the others. The guild is a bit cluttered . . . maybe we could fix it together, being a new crew member and all? (Thank you for the promotion, by the way!) And CHB still needs the Volleyball and Basketball Courts.

Pretty much like keeping certain characters in their own RP, but have the members create their own subtopic like: Camp Half-Blood RP --> Characters ---> Ruby0011's Character
Something like that. Sorry if I didn't explain it well, I suck at that... sweatdrop

Well, one of the things we could do first is to drop dead weight,as in get rid of the inactive members of the guild who have been members for some time but haven't posted. That might make the guild easier to organize, with less people to sort through.Should worse come to worse,we might get rid of the completely unused parts of the roleplays, such as the Arts and Crafts cabin in CHB and just about the entire God Roleplay forum based off of CHB,which has not had a single post aside from the one which I posted a while back.
Should that prove to be a bad suggestion, though, then I agree with ruby's suggestion of creating a topic specifically for roleplaying profiles and going from there in order to reorganize the guild.

The Guild is pretty fine the way it is, but I do agree that it has been growing cluttered. I think this was the biggest reason I (and I'm sure for others) had trouble posting quickly because it was just too many posts in one topic, swamping the others. I like each roleplay, and I'm not suggesting anything drastic, but some... 'Cleaning up' would be great, I think.
I think the separate sub-forum with individual profiles is a good idea. It keeps things more organized in terms of creating and posting characters, and gives more space for the actual roleplay.

Sailor: Of course, anybody that wants to help, can! That's why I promoted you (You're welcome =). Okay, we can add those in later, once we get things tidied up.
Ruby: That's a great idea! It will really help in accepting characters, too, because then nobody will get looked over. I think we should use that.
Slayer: Yes, I was thinking that, too. Maybe we could sweep out the members who haven't posted this year? And yeah, getting rid of the unused RPs is a good idea, too.
Sango: That's good. I didn't want to do anything drastic, so I'm glad you feel that way.

I agree with Slayer, though perhaps the about-to-be-dropped members should receive a PM warning and a week to respond to it. I'd suggest something similar for the unused RPs too--a guild announcement, perhaps, letting people know which roleplays are being cut a week in advance.
Also, I think there are a few of these lying around already that had a post or two then died, but I think it would be a good idea to have an official requests and suggestions thread where members could post things specific to certain roleplays as opposed to asking in the general threads. Ex: A general thread like this one would discuss guild changes such as moving profiles. A requests and suggestions thread would be for specific roleplay requests such as volleyball and basketball courts for Camp Half Blood or a Quidditch game for Hogwarts.
((Also: Sorry I was gone at such an important time :O I hope it's not too late to participate.))

That's an excellent idea, we will definitely have to use that! Thank you for that suggestion. (:
And no, it's never too late for anybody to join in. I want to hear from as many of you as possible, no matter how old the thread is, so keep 'em coming, people! cat_3nodding

Yay ^_^
Another idea to kick around would be instead of deleting old threads, they could be moved to a new sub-forum called the Graveyard or something of that nature. That way the ones with a little content (like threads with one or two guild questions and their answers) would still be archivable somewhere but wouldn't be cluttering up the active forum.

Another good idea! Definitely using that, too. Maybe a graveyard for RPs and their profiles, and a Q&A sub-forum for those question threads?
