Biography:
Jill is a former member of the law-enforcement taskforce S.T.A.R.S., the Special Tactics And Rescue Service, who was in charge of rear security and bomb disposal. She was a part of the group’s Alpha Team which was charged with investigating a mysterious mansion during the initial zombie outbreak caused by the Umbrella Corporation, the company that had created the zombie-causing biological weapon known as the T-Virus that was accidentally unleashed on the world.
After surviving the incident at the mansion, Jill left the service of S.T.A.R.S. and focused her attention on escaping from Raccoon City, which had become infested with zombies. She came to be pursued, however, by Nemesis, a biologically engineered creature created by Umbrella that had been sent to kill all surviving S.T.A.R.S. members because of their knowledge regarding the corporation’s activities. Ultimately, Jill succeeded in evading Nemesis and escaped from the city just prior to its destruction along with the mercenary Carlos Oliveira. She subsequently joined a group dedicated to battling the corrupt Umbrella Corporation.
In the film version of the Resident Evil saga, or what could be considered an alternate timeline from the games, Jill was a former S.T.A.R.S. operative who was among a group of people trying to escape from Raccoon City before it was destroyed by Umbrella in a nuclear strike meant to wipe out the zombie population. Joining together with the T-Virus superhuman Alice, Jill and her allies managed to make it out of the city just in time. It is not known what happened to this version of Jill after these events.
