History: War is the entirety of Musashi's life. The planet on which he resided on was in constant conflict between military super powers, peace rarely came and the few moments that did served as a build up phase. Musashi has no memory of his biological parents, his earliest memories placed in a military academy for orphans.
Musashi seemed to excel in his environment. He absorbed everything he was taught. Musashi would challenge his instructors when he felt that they were wrong. He also performed at the highest levels of physical ability. A cadet like him had never been seen before. The greatest hallmark of his education was when he wrote a paper detailing a battle plan to take out a neighboring country with minimal casualties. The head of the academy was impressed by it and sent it to the High Command for consideration. The plan was adopted and executed, setting up a bright military career for Musashi.
Musashi rose quickly through the ranks, but he always wanted to remain on the field of battle and in the trenches. He knew that battles were not won by just the minds of the strategist, but the hearts and lives of the soldiers.
Then the Amn'reth invaded. Despite Musashi's planet being quit adept at war, the schisms that had separated the individual countries prevented any hope of repelling the invasion. Each dealt with its own defense, however not trusting there enemies still continued to fight one another as well. Musashi implored his superiors to put aside their hostilities with there fellow humans and concentrate on a common foe. His pleas were unheard and the world soon burned like it had never had before.
Somehow Musashi survived along with a few of his soldiers, having dodged an advancing Amn'reth force by moving into previously conquered territory. He saw the devastation which the aliens wrought, they were not conquerors they were devourers. There was no doubt that the Amn'reth had no intentions on maintaining control of the planet, they appeared to seek the pleasure of death and destruction.
Sometime after the Amn'reth left the system, contact was made with the Legacy, were Musashi vowed that the Amn'reth would be defeated
