Aronia had soon retired to her private tower, a place less known to the coven than the Bermuda triangle to the world. She delighted in her dark tower, a place where she found herself at peace with the world, at one with the spirits. The world was troubled and she wondered at times if the fault was partially due to the fact that humans had fast forgotten the old ways, the ways she, as a girl and young woman lived by. But that, she assumed, from observation and thought, was just the way of the world. So times like these, in her tower, were times she delighted.
