The night had fed her hunger for adventure as she looked up at the moon from the balcony. Her lids, which were covered with dark dust blinked ever so often, taking in her world, the world she had known for ages. One might accuse her of jester like actions if she ever stated that she was the master of this world, but the truth wasn't far from that statement and closer to that the opposite side of that argument. Taking a swig of dark liquid she swallowed it down, her eyes shifting in their unique and deadly color as she blinked once and then, without notice it seemed, bit her lip and bit it hard enough so to draw blood.
The world had been her playground, and it had fallen to her as children did for ages on and that had not changed until their foolish king had decided against it. Aronia had gone about things will some fair amount of enjoyment of her place above humans, but not so much so, as to foolishly name herself divine, a god, as their king had so done. And now, in an age that less feared demons from hellfire and more so their own government, humans had less a need for superstition and such a thing, as Vampire seduction, could be bought and sold in stores. Humans both knew and hated her kind and yet, to some degree, Aronia had no doubt, they, in their heart of hearts, envied her kind.
And so she stood, staring then into the moonlight, thinking this through, sipping her drink.

Azia Pandora Thane
User ImageHazel eyes stared out towards the open sky, tracing a small leather bound book spine as the standing woman lost herself in her thoughts. Mahogany hair trailed down her spine to rest comfortably along her lower back as an onyx coloured wolf trotted to sit by the woman's side, his muzzle matted with a dark liquid. "I followed the hunter's trail and disposed of him, Azia. His fellow companions will not find him anytime soon.. Azia, snap out of it." the wolf thought, sending his message through the girl's mind, startling her enough to drop the book. She looked at the wolf and then to Aronia who was only a bit away and sighed. "How many times have I told you to wash the evidence off? We need to be safe, not be cast out." she whispered, hoping the vampiress didn't hear, bending down with an ivory handkerchief to wipe the wolf's maw, rubbing the fur. The wolf tried to move but the woman's pale slender fingers held it shut and still. Azia tucked the handkerchief into her dress pocket and stood up as she glanced quickly to see if Aronia had noticed and though Amerth was fluffy around the nose to his distaste, it was clean and blood free. Azia picked up her book and sat on the couch nearest the fireplace, Amerth following suit and laying his head in her lap as she read.

Aronia let her eyes stare up the night sky, watching as each star twinkled and smiled. The night sky soothed her, and even she it soothed completely. The world would be quick to tell you that Vampires were good, and that was exactly the image most Vampires, especially that of the courts and public officials that attempted to bring humans and Vampires together in 'peace,' would have you believe. But the truth was, Vampires were monsters in human skin, above the laws of sanity and the laws nature that humans were required to follow. So to say they were evil, that of course would be a lie, but to say that they were, as humans would define it, now that, that would a great big lie. Aronia was no less different than most Vampires. She was strong and had a way about her that moved people, and not simply by looks either. But she, unlike most Vampires, did not give in to her darker side, well at least, not always. Which was the very reason she was in such a position of power. And so, dealing with that position she swirled her drink in hand and turned swiftly to view the lounge where she sensed a presence.

Azia Pandora Thane
User ImageAzia stopped reading as she felt eyes on her. She closed it quietly, and turned her head to see Aronia in full view. She knew of the elder vampire. Knew that she was powerful and old as almost time itself, but for all of it she looked little older than Azia. She nodded towards the woman in respect before speaking. "Good evening, Aronia. I trust your night has been well?" she asked, not quite sure what to say in the presence of the woman. She had heard of her, felt her around the coven and sometimes the city when she needed to venture out with Amerth, but not seen nor spoke to the vampire before. She kept herself collected, though not by fear or panic did she feel so out of place.

It was a displacement of sorts. Aronia was well respected in the coven and to be in her presence was like to be tested. Amerth looked above the couch to see Aronia but seemed not so affixed to communicate with the vampiress, setting his head back down with a soft huff.

Aronia blinked her eyes and stepping lightly came from the darkness of the balcony, into the light where, setting down her drink on a near by table, she continued to walk forward until she was feet from the girl. Aronia was aware that the king had called for witches in the covens but he hadn't shown her pictures of the figures within the castle, nor had she desire to know their intimate details, as the king so tended to reveal. She assumed that meetings, such as now, would simply happen and in time, as she so had much of, would allow her to know each soul within the walls of her new found home. Aronia let her eyes set on the young woman's face and slide down her form and then next to her book and lastly to the wolf damaen she brought with her. For such a young looking witch she must indeed be strong to have been placed amongst a clan as large as this, thought Aronia. But age, as she had so well come to know, had very little to do with power. And even so with talent. She was very aware that the girl studied and she wondered in her mind if she was intimidated by her presence as some were, and then when feeling no fear rethought that intimation to confusion perhaps; confusion as to the unknown that surrounded her very presence. Sighing to herself she found that talking would perhaps sooth the air that was thick between them and clearing her throat, she let out a small greeting.
"Hello there."

Azia Pandora Thane
User ImageThe young witch watched as the vampiress approached her and stood a few feet away, looking at her and her friend who watched the other female as she drew close, his amber-rouge eyes fixated. Azia patted his head and stood up, observing Aronia as she had observed her. She smiled lightly. "Hello. It is a pleasure to meet the famous Aronia." she answered, before bowing in respect and adding "I'm Azia, Azia Thane." She looked to Amerth. "And this is my companion, Amerth." The wolf gave a soft bark.

Aronia watched the girl as she stood, taking in each of her words softly and rolling them around her head. Famous huh, she would had guessed such. And now as the girl offered her hand, Aronia reached out, with her pale, slender own, and gripped it, shaking. "It is pleasure to meet you as well Ms.Thane. And your champion as equally as well."

The man slowly opened the door, that he had recently found within the hallway. Opening, he looked in, and relieved to see a well lit room. It even had more people within. Two females it had seemed. The one she had met prior wasn't exactly the best for conversation, so Jasper had hoped that these two were. He ignored the warning the doorwoman had given, and let himself in. 'Surely there are no dragons in this room', he laughed. Jasper did, however, notice the pet wolf seemed to follow one of the girls around. A smile formed on his lips, as he stepped inside quickly.

"Sorry, uhh... I got lost on the way to the lavatory. Could you fair ladies help me?"

Azia Pandora Thane
User ImageAzia shook her hand, surprised it was a little colder than she would have imagined. She was about to respond, a bit moire relaxed when a man walked in. Amerth was instantly alert, looking at the man with an almost protective look over the two. Azia looked the man over. It was unusual to find someone like him here. "It's down the way a bit, you'll know it when you see it. May I inquire to your presence here? I haven't seen you before." she asked, petting Amerth to make him calm. "No need to get riled, he can't do any harm here." she told him through the physical contact. He seemed to ease a little but didn't waver his atention from him.

Jasper watched as the Wolf become worked up for a moment, before it's master began to pet it, calming it. The man didn't lose his smirk, as he nodded, listening to the woman's directions. He was lying when he asked, which he figured would have been obvious. However, maybe this one was playing with him as well. It did seem likely, as the previous girl had done the same.

"I was just passing through the neighborhood and thought 'That castle is huge. It must have some amazing bathrooms'."

Aronia shifted her gaze swiftly from the young on to the young man who was no doubt, and quite frankly from the smell if anything, as well as looks, was human. She had no doubt in mind that he was not here, as he said. 'just passing through,' and that his curiosity had gotten the better of him then a supposed full bladder. "What brings a human to my castle?"

"Your castle? Must pay a fortune in plumbing and heating..."

He said, walking through the Lounge subtly, letting his hands through onto of a chair, or a desk. She said it was her castle. That made him wonder if she was the Master the young door maiden spoke of. If so, he'd like to meet her and get to know just what made her a Master, and the owner of such a nice and dark place.

"Well, to be honest, just looking for a drink. Maybe some work."

Jasper figured he'd drop the act, as it obviously wasn't impressing anyone. He didn't even get a smile. Jasper must have been losing his touch after all. A sad day, indeed, but it was no time to pout.

Aronia shifted her body in her clothing, her breathing easy in her corset. She studied the figure with slight curiosity but no more so then a spider watching a bug caught in their web. And that thought, Aronia added in her head, was not far from the truth, especially if his intentions were less than grand. "Tell me why your here."

Jasper smiled, as he laughed softly to himself. People didn't even believe him when he was telling the truth. Had things really gotten so unlucky for him. Shrugging, he looked the woman in her eyes. Staring deep and with a curled smile.

"I was. I'm a gun for hire, and a little low on alcohol to blood ratio too."
