• Primary Goal: Put the Gods to rest once again, along with all the spiritual beings of the world.

• History: Erik Atheos founded the Epicurean Initiative during The Theophany, when the Gods, Goddesses and other supernatural beings first began to manifest. Their goals were simple, inspired by Epicurean thought, they felt that the Gods and Goddesses had no place interfering in the affairs of mortals. They had laid dormant and asleep for several thousand years and in the opinions of those who rallied around Erik and his cause, they should have remained that way. So the Epicurean Initiative started its quest to lay the Gods and Goddesses to rest. Erik accomplished a great many things. Early on Erik discovered what would come to be called the Pariah Gene, a genetic anomaly in some humans that nullified and in some cases devoured spiritual energy around those implanted with the gene. His son was the first known carrier of the gene. Erik began moving forward his plans to extract the genetic information from Maxwell and use it to create other Pariahs. Unfortunately for Erik there were those who did not agree with his way of doing things. A group of spiritualist humans working for the God of Pestilence attacked Erik near his home in Greece. Almost almost all were killed, in the end Erik succumbed to an advanced and degenerative case of hemophilia brought on by the worshipers. Maxwell, then nineteen years of age, swore to avenge his father. Since then not only has the Epicurean Initiative targeted Gods and Goddesses but their supernatural worshipers and manifestations as well. They aim to return the Earth to its non-spiritual state once again.

• Pariahs: Pariahs, also known as Chi-Blockers and Nulls, are arguably the most powerful anti-spiritual weapon in the Epicurean Initiative's considerable arsenal. They have the ability to block out spiritual power and overcome spiritual defenses. To become a Pariah you must cut off all connection to the spiritual, you will be completely unable to manifest spiritual abilities of any kind. In exchange every 100 Potential you receive a [+10 Spirit Defense] and gain access to a set of Pariah only abilities.
• Techmarine: Techmarines are the technical savants of the Epicurean Initiative, it is they who build the war machines and weapons for their allies. They have a connection with machines that is deep routed in their beings. They can understand and even communicate with machines as if they were sentient beings. They pay half the costs to level [Tinkering], have twice as many [Item Designs] in it and their Level Limitations are twice as high as normal. Finally, they gain access to Techmarine only abilities. Their creations are truly awe inspiring.
