How did you start your EverQuest 1/EverQuest 2 journey? How was your first day?

For me I decided to make a Dark Elf Necromancer. I started in Neriak and became extremely lost within a matter of minutes. It was before the game had fancy maps and clearer graphics and guides. I spent hours just trying to figure out what to do. I was so frustrated and ready to quit, but at the same time I loved it. It felt like an entire world to explore. I ended up deleting my Necromancer and making a Human Wizard in Qeynos. Much easier for me to navigate and to this day, about eleven years later, and not having played EverQuest one in a few years I could still find my way through that zone blindfolded.

With EverQuest 2 I made a Iksar Necromancer and I became friends with a person who fourboxed accounts on the first day. I didn't even know it was possible to do, but here I was just wondering around when a giant Barbarian ran by with 3 people all standing in the same spot following after her. I played with them for about a year afterwards. One of the best first day MMORPG experiences I have ever had.
