So this is the thread where you get to listen to your Captain's rants about anything that crosses her twisted mind.
This thread can and will contain stuff that some users might consider traumatizing, so I say continue at your own risk or leave for safety, the choice is yours.

That said, let's get the ranting started.
Visual novels and dating sims
Yes, your Captain is obsessed with BL games and yaoi, just in case you didn't know about it, let's make this clear. I've developed an insane obsession, which is collecting every BL game that falls into my hands. Sometimes I have more fun accumulating them on my computer than actually playing them. My main entertainment consists in creating a database, just to know how much stuff I've actually collected. I spend countless hours of happy typing and smiling in front of the screen.
<--- Happy captain, unaware of the danger In my quest for them I've happened to take much visual damage and actually have found myself downloading and playing non BL games. Just to find shota in them. WHAT THE HELL, seriously.
<---Da f*ck did just happen? Whoever made that, what were they thinking about? They make funny thoughts cross my mind. Like let's say, imagine your average target of those games, a straight otaku male. He is happily playing a game...thinking he'll get a good ending soon because blushing girls appear all the time...and then...BAM! IN HIS FACE...a scene which I'm not allowed to describe by the ToS featuring a pervy kid (and just that kid, no girlies for him) pops up on his screen. That's the part where your Captain laughs like a maniac.
<---LOL they probably got so trolled So your devilish captain's advice is: Fanboys: BEWARE, NOWHERE IS SAFE Fangirls: Don't give up there is hope!!! 3nodding Welcome to the wonderful world of visual novels, don't judge a book by its cover.
Enough ranting...for a while! twisted

ok. *cracks nuckles* here we go: Entertainment value(from no on referred to as "teh lulz"): medium. value of advice: high (depending on how much you are actually interested in this stuff) psycological damage(from now on referred to as "comedic value"): low. "all in all, a good start. i look forward to more in the future" - so stated by jin, keeper of records and score.
the above statements are authorized and sanctioned by our glorious leader and will not, under any circumstance, be questioned. if you have any comments/complaints/constructive critism, you are entitled to your opinion. however, attempts to change the official record will be met with hostility and violence.

Today's rant takes us to the dark side of the internet...
Britney Spears and youtube
All of you who have browsed youtube long enough know it is a scary place. One starts clicking a link or looking for things for the lulz thinking they are safe as long as they don't look for strange contents.
<---It is not redtube after all right? WRONG. As Il Palazzo himself would say...this world is rotten and youtube is a great example of this.
Oh, it's a Youtube video!!! Why doesn't the youtube option work in guilds?!
Now you'll probably be wondering, when am I going to start ranting about Britney Spears? Well, I'm not gonna talk about her actually. Why did I include that video here then? ToS, I must respect them.
Let me explain myself, what is amazing about the internet, is the potential their users have to create the most mindf*cking, entertaining and greatest videos ever. Out of just anything or out of a video like the one above.
They could use their skills for good I actually like some metal versions of her songs, they could use their skills for drama leave Britney alone or they could...oh well...cause the following reaction on you.
<---Da f*ck did just happen? Those who have the disgrace to know what I'm talking about will probably have a better understanding of the following rant.
WTF?! DID I JUST WATCH?! will probably be the first reaction of those who don't. What I'm talking about is a video of a guy who dresses himself as Britney Spears and performs a different version of that song. One could wonder what drug he is high on, what did he eat for breakfast that day or just could find it entertaining or disgusting.
<---MY EYES!!! I want them back! But there's something that troubles me even more...one thing that the average youtube user might be too freaked out or careless to wonder...how much did he spend on that video? A close look reveals so much time and effort. Wheter he is crazy or a comedy genius well I think he could be both at the same time, he's being pretty creative. Somehow he looks like those jailbait teenagers who don't bother cleaning their rooms before they take pictures which leads to epic FAILs. Also, is that bacon?! What kind of meat is it? It looks shiny! 3nodding yum_bacon
<---But after a while it makes me think... I've been discussing this topic deeply, effort doesn't always match appreciation. This happens to lots of otakus as well. They are considered good for nothing because of how much time they spend on their hobbies, without taking into account their terrific skills and even if they work too. I can perfectly understand why they would think that way but those judgements make me so sad, if only they knew how difficult they are to make... but when something looks strange to them, they look down on it and are unable to see the diamonds in the dust. I hope they actually could learn a valuable lesson out of them as well instead of only trying to shape them to their tastes. gaia_diamond
So your devilish captain's advice is: Minors and prudent ones: You should stay away from this now that you can, you've been warned. There is no actual need for you to take this challenge. Brave ones: Try looking for the title of the above video on youtube if you still have what it takes to know what your Captain's talking about. Welcome to the wonderful world of the internet, curiosity killed the cat. Don't have nightmares, see you next time cat_3nodding
