Heil Satan, one and all! I just joined the guild today and I wanted to say that I'm very glad that metalheads exist underneath the insurmountable amounts of the dubstep infatuated, rap consumed, bigots that infest Gaia these days. As a person of my musical preferences, it's very easy to be singled out in the rallies. When I don't get made fun of for it and I ask if anyone in the room is into metal? Most of the time they're just ignorant people who think that Creed is metal...But after searching through the forums, I've seen that there are legit metalheads here. How did I know so? I saw band names mentioned that are bands that I listen to. Like Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir, Dark Funeral, Mayhem, Meshuggah, Death, Cannibal Corpse, Six Feet Under, Tool, Down, And etc. etc. Needless to say, I'm very happy to be apart of the guild! m/ So, there's a reason I made this thread other than introducing myself. I wanted to ask if any of you are metal musicians? I myself am a vocalist for a Viking metal band with Black/Death metal influences. It's called Shadowed Grave and it's pretty brutal. I support underground metal bands with everything that I can and more, so if you guys have bands? Link me up and I'll do whatever I can to help you guys further along the road. Jesse the guitarist gave me a guitar pick too. I still has it :3 My favorite song from them aside from Quasi Putrefaction is Bloody Gaiya Fulfilled. So much happiness indeed. And yes of course I heard of Burzum.

Necro Regulus Yogurt Chip I checked them out, very badass. It's like an Asian Dimmu, but you ever listened to Burzum? lol they are extremely badass. I was lucky enough to see them live in my derpy redneck town. Jesse the guitarist gave me a guitar pick too. I still has it :3 My favorite song from them aside from Quasi Putrefaction is Bloody Gaiya Fulfilled. So much happiness indeed. And yes of course I heard of Burzum. I guess I should've expected as much lol. Anyway, I have a pic from Behemoth with Nergal's name on it. Had to fight off two other guys for it, and fighting off other black metalheads isn't very easy. So it made it all the more badass. Oh and if you ever get the chance to see Watain? Don't stand in the front row...They smelled like maggot infested s**t that's been fermenting in a human corpse's a**l cavity.

As much as I hate to admit it, there's some pretty good American black metal out there. Vit, Ossein, and Wormsblood are all first rate. Also, two of my favorite working metal bands are Primordial and Altar of Plagues, which are both Irish, so that's some pretty cool stuff. I like rap, though. And a little bit of dubstep. emo Hey man, no need to feel ashamed for your tastes. I won't attack like most other overly fanatic metalheads would lol. But I agree with you on the American Black metal bands. Goatwhore is a great example. A friend of mine is a band called Plagues of Prophecy and they're some straight Grind/Black metal. I'm not really into Grind, but they pull it off. It's just that a majority of Black metal bands, at least the best ones, are from Scandinavia 90% of the time.
