Days could be fast....days could be slow...and today was certainly one of the slower days. Eko sat quietly behind his desk, a quill in hand as he wrote some paperwork. Obviously not something that Eko truly held deep within the depths of his heart...but he had to do it so there was no use complaining. It was obviously a much degree better than numerous other things Eko could think of...so he did this with his absolute focus. Sitting on his desk sat a picture of his wife, Kaori, his baby daughter Sora, and himself at a beach while the two of them had vacation. Eko's own eyes looked up towards the photo and he couldn't help but give a small smile towards it. Kaori was laying there on a towel while Eko and Sora were playing in the water, Eko swinging his baby girl high while she giggled and laughed, her mother simply laughing at the sight. A firm smile was on Eko's lips that day...but that was a day with those that he loved and truly cared for. Kaori was his best friend as well as his wife but Sora was his own pride and joy. Honestly, he babied her and would admit it in a heartbeat. When that girl was born, she grabbed Eko's heart like her mother, and it became Eko's role in life to make sure that she lived happily.

His eyes remained on that picture for a moment before slowly and painfully reverting back towards his work. The content simply went over various budgeting aspects as well as the building and creating of new targets and so forth for training. Eko of course, simply signed his name where he saw fit and threw the others away. Some of the topics were rather...stupid but he didn't care to make any open remarks over them. He simply continued his work before he finally finished, allowing for him to stand up and stretch, moving over towards the fireplace with his still warm cup of tea and relax. The normally winged and tailed Lieutenant did not have his wings nor his tail out at the moment, as the room space did not really allow for it...but it was alright with him. Eko really didn't even know where the appendages came from, but he just guessed he had them at birth. Yet a simple seal allowed for them to come and go as he warranted, but his daughter Sora had her own single set of wings....so it had to of been genetic. Luckily they weren't bat wings though...just something comparable to bat wings.

Letting loose a sigh, Eko lay back in the rocking chair as the fire flickered, the shadows of the room seeming to dance around Eko's frame. Time to relax unless he was interrupted....
