History: Annette was was an only child, born in Charmlet City. When she was four, her parents were mugged and killed while out of town. Annette was forced to move in with her grandparents, who lived in the Kanto Region. They owned the Daycare center just south of the town, and they took great pride in their work. Annette loved to help them when she could, and tried her very best to learn everything there was to know about Pokemon and the breeding profession. One day, a woman came in and dropped off her Ditto, Casanova, to be trained by the elderly couple. She said she would return for him in one week. This Ditto was special, though. This one had the ability to speak! Truly, it was a fascinating Pokemon, and the couple agreed to train him for the young woman.
Annette, at age eight, asked her grandparents if she could be in charge of taking care of Casanova. She had done her best to learn all she could from them and wanted to prove that she could handle the responsibility. Her grandparents accepted, feeling it would be perfect for the girl to gain experience in the Breeding profession. So Annette trained hard with Casanova. She learned all sorts of neat recipes for Pokemon Food, and Casanova had no problems with testing them for her and giving his opinions. Even at a young age, she was an amazing cook. The two bonded quicker than would be expected, but after a week of training, it was finally time for him to leave. Annette, although sad, washappy to have had spent time with her new friend, and told him that he should come visit her sometime. That is.... if the woman had ever shown up to claim the poor Ditto. Days went by, and then weeks, and still no word from the lady. Casanova was crushed. He had been abandoned.
It wasn't too uncommon. Her grandparents had always told her stories of when they would train a Pokemon, and the trainer would never show up to pick them back up. It was a sad truth. Through his time of grieving, Annette never left his side. Months passed, and Annette was always there for him. Finally, he had to say it. "Ey... Kid. You dun hafta stay wit me, ya know... Why don't you go run off and play wit your friends, or som'tin?"
She looked at him, wide eyed, "Because," She smiled, "You are my friend."
The rest is history. Now Casanova has never left Annette's side. Their personalities may be completely opposite, but they wouldn't have it any other way.
When she was 12, Max came into her life. He was the first Pokemon she had ever hatched from an egg, from beginning to end. She had done such a nice job raising a customers Espeon and Umbreon, that they gave her the egg they had produced, saying she would probably take better care of it than them, anyway. She looked after that egg like a child, nurturing it until the day it finally hatched into a beautiful male Eevee. Even to this day, Max see's Annette as being his mother, and will protect her with his life. He is lively and spunky and always ready to fight. He is one of Annettes best trained Pokemon, and is even known for taking down it's evolved forms with ease. Max has even single-handedly taken down a Gym leaders Jolteon in the Johto region, and still had fight left in him.
At age 15, her grandparents died of old age, leaving Annette by herself with her two beloved Pokemon. It was then that she decided to create her own business, in their honor. She started a Traveling Daycare Center business, traveling all over the world training Pokemon, raising Pokemon, and selling various items, foods, and eggs to many trainers. She wanted to spread what her Grandparents had taught her throughout the world, and instead of waiting for them to come to her, she went to them. She was world famous, even being called upon by Gym Leaders, Professors, and Elites from many different Regions. But the traveling became a bit too much for her to handle. At age 19, she went back to her birthplace, Charmlet City, and settled in, grounding her business to a single location. It wasn't until a year or so later that the position of Gym Leader became available. With some encouragement from the Pokemon friends she had made throughout her travels, and of course Casanova and Max, she took the Gym Leader test, and passed with flying colors. If only her grandparents, or even her parents could see her now, she knows they would be proud.
Dreams: To help strengthen the bond between a Pokemon and their trainer, so that maybe she will never have to experience another Pokemon abandonment again. She also dreams to learn as much as humanly possible about Pokemon and Pokemon Breeding, to be the very best breeder she can be.
