It had taken awhile, what with having to spend time on learning the Force, training with the light sabers, and learning more about this galaxy in general. Yet despite all that he'd still found some time to get his new laboratory up and running. The Kit'aru had managed to get permission to use a rather large storage area that simply wasn't being used. There had been a few things inside that he'd even been able to make use of for his new lab. Most of the items he'd had to salvage from his own crashed ship though, and there was precious few items he'd been able to salvage. The other things he'd had to make himself or acquire through other means. All in all it was a rather impressive lab for him to work with and he even had a whole slew of little droids he'd built or re-purposed that could assist him in his work.
"This is good! Now I can start really contributing to the Order in my own special way..." It felt good to have his own special place in the Outcast Temple that belonged to him, where he was in control. It was nice to just have things back to normal for himself. It was a pity that no one else was present for what amounted to the grand opening... but then again everyone else had their own things to do too. That was fine though, it simply meant he could get right to work on things.

Naku walked up to the newly created Laboratory in the Temple. First Thanatos, now Tetro. He decided to visit Tetro's lab, since it lacked the security measures, and dark presence that Thanatos' Lab presented. It was empty for the most part, minus the basic lab equipment that was set up. Naku looked around, curious to what exactly Tetro had planned to do.

Tetroneaque's ears twitched as he heard someone enter the laboratory. He had been working on building a new computer to help monitor his lab. Since he was using whatever parts and components he could find it was going to take awhile, but it needed doing if he was going to get anywhere with his other creations. The Kit'aru slid out from under what would become his master computer.
"Hello Naku! I was just working on building a new computer to oversee my experiments and monitor things in the lab. Got to build almost everything from scratch, but it shouldn't take too long to get everything up and running. After that I'll really be able to start helping out!" Tetro said, as he walked over to Naku to shake his hand in greeting. While that was going on one could see a great deal of smaller droids scurrying about the lab, carrying out their tasks. If one bothered to look they'd notice that most of those droids were newly made. It seemed that Tetroneaque had been busy even before he got his paws on an official lab.
"So is there anything I can help you with today?" He asked, tails wagging happily behind him.

Naku looked around, seeing it being busy as if it was already working, even though Tetro said he was working on a Master computer. Naku couldn't help but smile as he saw Tetro's tail wag. "I see you've made some new droids to assist you." Naku said, noticing how new the droids looked. He shook hands with Tetro, then moved around. "I was curious as to what you were doing. Something kinda drew me in here, you can say. Do you need any assistance, or need to get some objects to help with your... work." Naku said, avoiding one of Tetro's droids that was moving around.
Naku had planned to go in one of the neutral planets to gather some supplies, that was needed, mostly repair supplies for their ship/droids and as he had heard from Marxus, some alcoholic drinks for his tastes.
"I figured you might want something to help you out with your lab setup. Perhaps you'd be interested in coming along. Just, do be mindful, as the people don't exactly know of your race, i'd wear a cloak, and keep your questions to yourself, so that way we don't attract unneeded attention." Naku said, giving Tetro a chance to leave the temple for maybe the first time in a while.

Thanatos after a good hunt began returning towards his lab. Rage and Violence needed to learn to hunt on their own. It was not long now. Soon Thanatos would allow the larvae to feed themselves in the wilderness that surrounded Temple. For now however, he continued his "teaching". After a satifying hunt of Bomas and Cannoks he returned to the Temple grounds. As always Rage and Violence slithered into his robes and hid themselves from other passerby if their was any. He began the walk back towards his lab when he noticed one of the storage units racketing loudly. He walked towards it to investigate.
What he saw that was making the noise was small scurrying droids. There design was unfamiliar to Thanatos, but then again it had been some time since he had ventured into Republic Civilization. He began studying the little things. Learning their capabilities and repairing his dwindled memory of the subject of droids. He knew somethings regarding experiments with Sith Magic and Mechu Deru, but he knew himself that it was far too dangerous, and a hassle to keep that a secret. Just one whiff of the Virus would send the Republic to this planet quick, fast, and in a hurry. The Jedi order would not tolerate the rise of Technobeasts. Not after what the last Sith did. Though that was a very long time ago.
He continued to study his findings on the droids. Completely oblivious of Tetro and Naku.

The Kit'aru's ears twitched excitedly as Naku mentioned going on a supply run. He had a whole list of items that he either needed or wanted, but all would be useful in getting his lab up to tip top shape where he could make some real mechanical marvels. He was about to ask if he could come along, but Naku invited him along before he even got the chance to ask, like the fellow was reading Tetroneaque's mind... though he was sure that it wasn't being read at the moment. Well mostly sure.
"Oh yes! I'd absolutely love to come along. I have a rather large list of items I need, and a few I want but don't expect to find. I'm not really sure how expensive some of these things might be here, so most of the items I want are rather basic or just raw materials that I can refine. It will be easier for me to come along I do believe, and I'll do my best to keep a low profile." After he'd answered Naku he felt a chill in the air, and instantly knew that Thanatos was nearby.
"Hello Thanatos. What brings you here?" Tetroneaque asked in a polite, if cold manner.

Thanatos peered into the circuitry, that the droids possessed. They were hardly made from well kept parts. However they were indeed expertly made. He continued to peer into their construction, he had no real idea on how to replicate the process. It did provide some insight into droid construction nowadays though. Plus it gave him several idea of his own to inquire with his experiments. Technobeasts were out of the question, but what about...shadow droids... His head filled with different ideas regarding the tools of conquest. Thanatos did not wish for conquest himself, but the doors would open nonetheless to his power. Which was something he adhered to.
It was in this quiet contemplation of possibility that Tetro interrupted with his question. "What brings me here? Why the noise would attract herds of beasts if it were not for the peculiar nature of this temple. Do not misunderstand, I like this. For it expands the hunting grounds of my new pets." At this moment Rage and Violence wiggled from under his robe. Giving off a shifty movement on his torso. They did not however, show themselves. "Although I find the construction of these contraptions quite instructional."

"Well I had planned to sound proof this lab, hopefully before most of the heavy construction is finished. I wouldn't want to disturb those who wish to sleep or meditate." Tetroneaque stated, though if the noise was something that Thanatos enjoyed then it was just another reason for Tetro to hurry up and get the sound proofing done sooner.
"If you'd like some more hands on instruction to the finer points of droid construction though, please feel free to stop by." Tetroneaque added, sincere in his offer though he would hardly look forward to it if Thanatos decided to take him up on the offer. However the thought that Thanatos would be learning something from him was a little amusing. Tetro wondered if Thanatos would be willing to learn from a 'pet' or if the fellow's pride would get in the way.

Thanatos enjoyed the hunt, savoring the confidence of his prey as it chose to attack him for its own survival. That was a lesson few in the world of living would know and he cherished it. The sudden memory of hunting almost gave the necessary amount of attrition the hunter needed to surface into Thanatos' features. For a second his face would take on that of a beast. The hunter's urge was powerful. It required some effort for him to quell the usurper. However, just as quickly Thanatos came back to his usual purposeful demeanor. Thanatos made a mental note to not stray into such thoughts without considering the consequences of his alter ego. The shift in his aura startled Rage and Violence, to which they let out a low hiss, but did not dare strike. To attack Thanatos in that moment would have given the hunter more of a hold over Thanatos' body and thus he would have tried to rip everything around him asunder. He said to the creature," Yes, that would be wise of you. The beasts feel uneasy around technology. They tend to 'over-exaggerate.'
When Tetro offered instruction to Thanatos. He said with a eager albeit cold logical smile, "Yes, I think I will hold you to those words." Tetro probably did not understand a Sith's promise, but the youngling needed some...wisdom. Thanatos loved teaching. However, with all things the teacher could learn from his student. And Thanatos would indeed hold the pet to it.

Tetro was polite as he saw Thanatos and Naku out of the lab area, getting ready to accompany Naku on the supply run. It would be a nice learning experience to see another inhabited planet in this galaxy. All in all Tetroneaque was feeling quite good despite Thanatos being a constant drain on the Kit'aru's good mood. He made sure to lock the doors behind him, not wanting anyone to disturb the work being done while he was absent. That done, he went with Naku to get their needed supplies.

( This takes place several months after the thread 'Fuzzy Logic' )
Tetroneaque had been working really hard the past few months. He'd still been training in the Force and with his lightsaber training, but almost all his spare time he spend locked up inside his lab. He just didn't feel like he belonged here. The only person he'd felt a real connection with had rejected his feelings, her heart already belonging to another. Tetroneaque still talked with the other Outcasts, but he knew they could tell that he'd grown a little distant over the weeks. Perhaps that was for the best... then no one would care when he decided to leave.
The Kit'aru was nearing the end of his works here as he saw it. Thanks to the core he'd managed to salvage from his wrecked ship he had saved years of time on his work. The machine in front of him was testament for that. It was a shining series of rings that dominated the back half of his laboratory. Today was the day that he'd activate it and hopefully find his way home. He'd already conducted tests, knowing that the portal generator could create rips in space to let him simply move from one part to another instantly. Now all he had to do was to locate any planet in his home galaxy and he'd be able to get back to his own people.
Tetroneaque programmed several parameters into the search algorithm of his device. It would locate a planet outside this galaxy, a planet with a breathable atmosphere and signs of life. Those life signs would also need to register brainwave patterns that meant sentient life. There were a great many parameters he made the search program meet that would increase his chances of locating a planet in his home galaxy. Before he knew it, everything was ready. There was nothing left to do but activate the portal generator and hope for the best. As a precaution he'd set up several heavy weapons systems pointing at the portal, ready to blast anything that came through that he perceived as a threat if he couldn't shut the thing down in time. Just because he felt like an outcast among the Outcasts didn't mean he didn't feel responsible for their safety. He'd destroy his machine if it came to that to protect the Temple.
Taking a deep breath he entered the codes to activate the machine. "Here goes nothing..." He stated to himself and pressed the final button in the sequence. The rings around the machine started to rotate quickly, a high-pitched humming filling the room as the center of the machine started to glow. Soon the glow started to form into figures but it was hard to make out. He held his breath as he waited for the portal to stabilize.

Somewhere off in a distant galaxy awaited a sad species. This humanoid cat, spending her last moments in quiet dreadful anticipation of the worst as she was sanctioned to be sold as someone's next meal, deemed too dangerous to be anything more pleasant. "It shan't be long yet, Missy," a grim voice mocked at her through cell bars, prodding her with the fact her new "owner" should be arriving to take her at any moment. The the poor girl stayed, in a small dank cell, caged until the moment of her doom... but this was not her last... As she waited there, sinking into a depression with her hopeless situation, a glimmer of light caught her eye, something forming within the confines of her trap. Sprining to the door, she checked to see if anyone had noticed this. No one was within sight. As she looked back to the little light, she saw it had dramatically increased in size. Being the curious thing that she was, the Humgato had to touch it. Suddenly, she was thrust through it...a portal! She found herself in a large open room full of technology she'd never seen and...a canine looking creature, much like a fox. Upon looking at him, the feline froze in place, wide-eyed at the site, thinking it had been a trick! This must have been the one to eat her...it must have b--- but ....it was such a strange place and she had never known portal technology to exist. No! A trick, it was a trick...! She stayed where she was, watching this strange creature to see what he would do. ( roughly her look, clothing may differ later)

Tetroneaque was startled when a lithe form with a tail was suddenly flung out of the portal and onto the floor. He instantly shut off the portal, not wanting to let anyone else through. The machine behind the strange female stopped whirring and making noise as it grew still, the weapons near Tetro were trained on her but remained inactive for the moment. The Kit'aru knew that he'd made another mistake... what a surprise. It was just another thing he'd done wrong in a long list of failures, at least that's how he thought of it.
"Oh bother... now I've gone and done it. Great. Just great. Congratulations Tetro, you're just conducted the first successful extra-galactic kidnapping!" He stated to himself bluntly berating himself in a sarcastic tone, not knowing if this person could even understand him. He shook his head and sighed. Well he shouldn't have gotten his hopes up that he'd find one of his kind's worlds on the first try.
Tetroneaque was pretty sure this new stranger wasn't a threat. She looked scared to him. He slowly approached her with his hands held out to show that he didn't have any weapons. If need be the small armored bracer on his wrist could expand into his full exo-suit to protect him from anything the apparently unarmed alien could do to him. "Sorry about this confusion... it seems I made a mistake with my search algorithm and you stumbled into my portal. I'll send you back in a few minutes if that's fine with you." Tetroneaque stated, needing to get to his machine to recalibrate it to open a portal in the same place twice in a row so he could send her back. He didn't expect her to understand his language, so he kept his voice calm and even so as not to startle her.

Well, this was a strange predicament. The sounds of the machine only made the feline more nervous, her two pronged tail coiling by her side and ears tucked flat on her head as she looked about, studying her new surroundings. When Tetro began to speak, she wasn't surprised that she could understand him, not knowing she was in another galaxy entirely...until he mentioned "extra-galactic kidnapping." Interesting...was she brought somewhere so out of reach that no one would find her? Listening to him intently, she began to relax a little knowing he wasn't expecting her to be there. It certainly didn't sound like he wanted to harm her, but she stayed on the alert, for now, retreating a little as he neared her. With his apology, her ears perked up, "Y...you won't eat me?" she asked, tilting her head, eyes still widened by the events. With the mention of sending her back, she panicked, "NO!" The little feline began trembling, "PLEASE, don't send me back there!" she pleaded strongly, feeling that wherever she was it was much safer than where she would have been. Curled up in a ball, her wide unblinking eyes remained fixed on Tetro.

Tetroneaque's ears perked straight up as the stranger seemed to know 'basic'. That was very odd as he knew his machine had been set to somewhere outside this current galaxy. That little thought was on the back burner though as he processed the words. "Of course I'm not going to eat you!" He said in a horrified tone, repulsed by the idea of eating another sentient being. Then something very unexpected happened as the stranger seemed to panic about the idea of being sent back.
Tetroneaque's eyes were wide with surprise, as he found her body language very similar to that of his own race. He could tell that she was really absolutely terrified of being sent back to wherever he'd just plucked her from. "Whoa! Calm down! I just thought that you'd want to go home is all. If you don't want to go back wherever my portal opened up I won't make you go back. What's wrong?" Tetroneaque really was concerned with this being's safety even though he didn't even know her name. "Would you care to share your name with me? My name is Tetroneaque Swiftpaw Tailchaser. I'm a Kit'aru scientist... though I'm a bit far from home." He went ahead and introduced himself, hoping that it might help calm the alien down some.
