Well then, you've got to know some things about base stat generation! When any two adult Chocobos breed, the resulting offspring may have some noticably better stats. The reason? This little stat formula right here:
(Chocobo A + Chocobo B) / 2 + ( Random number between 1-4, where 3 and 4 are -1 and -2, respectively.)
HOWEVER, another algorithm will be applied only for Conformation:
Higher CON + (cA/cB)
Example:
Chocobo A has a high conformation of 3, while chocobo B has a low conformation of -4. 3+ (-3/4)= 2.25 conformation for the resulting baby. Chocobo A, by the way, will always be the higher conformation.
Now that that's out of the way, onto the requirements for breeding.
One Nut of some sort
3 roleplays between the paired chocobos prior to applying for a Breeding Stall (Usually, there will be 2-4, depending on workload, opened up every month at the end of it)
Breedings will always result in 2-3 babies, one for each parent, and the third to be given to a newbie or given away to another player who you deem worthy.
Another aspect of breeding: the Nuts. A Carob is the most basic one you can buy, although you may find some randomly, and carobs add 1 to 2 random stats of the Chicobo.
Zieo Nuts adds one to all stats equally, which results in a higher grade of chicobo, usually.
A Kupo Nut, however, can do random things to stats of your chicobo, or even cause it to mutate slightly! Use at your own risk!
