The Yuki clan (雪一族, Yuki Ichizoku) lived in the Land of Water. Some time ago, the country was in the midst of a civil war. In this war, different sides battled each other using ninja, some of whom possessed kekkei genkai. After the war ended, memories of the horrific battles still lingered in the minds of the people, causing wide-spread persecutions against those with kekkei genkai. Because of this, the Yuki clan, whose members carried the Ice Release kekkei genkai, went into hiding.

Background History:
Being one of the Few children from the Yuki clan to get the kekkei genkai, she was born 2 years before Haku was. She was able to creat the small mirrors of ice around her and it was how her mother died. She was being punished for a bad grade in her Taijutsu and Genjutsu classes. Her father was killed when he found out and tried to hit Rukni. Missing the Main Exam, she was put up into Chuunin because of her determination to find her clan.
