Personality: True to her type specialty, Kristen (or 'Kris', as she's known to some) has a fiery personality. She's known for being fun-loving, a bit loud, adventurous, and all-around exciting. Face it; you can't really stay bored for very long when Kris is involved. Her talent for Breeding has resulted in a good few of her pokemon (namely Crow, Ichabod, and Rei) knowing moves that they normally couldn't learn otherwise. Needless to say, she expects the best out of her pokemon (and her opponents). If need be, she will gladly defend her friends and/or beliefs, using her considerable skills in martial arts.

Battle Tactics: Kris likes to hit her opponents hard and fast during battle, with roughly two-thirds of her team being known for having average-to-high Speed, and everyone knowing at least one powerful Fire-type move. She's also a fan of inflicting the Burned condition, which is - ironically - what Fire-type pokemon are known for.

History: Hailing from Rakuren's Ember Village, it's not all that surprising that Kristen - or 'Kris', as she's known to some - wanted to become the region's Fire-type specialist. Choosing Chimchar - which eventually became her faithful Infernape, Crow -, Kris set out with the simple goal of becoming the best Fire-typer that she could possibly be. Along the way (and among others), she caught the following pokemon: a male Growlithe (her Arcanine, Ichabod), a female Magby she hatched from an Egg (her Magmortar, Lulu), a female Numel (her Camerupt, Setsuna), a male Ponyta (her Rapidash, Rua), and a female Vulpix (her Ninetales, Rei).
With the afore-mentioned six pokemon in particular, Kris made surprisingly-wuick work of the region's Elite Four, proving that type advantage alone isn't entirely necessary to win a battle. When the time came to choose a new Gym Leader for her hometown of Ember Village, she practically leapt at the opportinuty (she wanted to become a Fire-type specialist, and what better way was there than to become the Gym Leader of a Fire-type Village?). The testing was difficult, to be sure; but when all was said and done, Kris (along with her pokemon) stood alone as her home Village's new Fire-type Gym Leader.
Safe to say, she's come a long way from when she started out twelve years ago. Her faithful team of Fire-types - Crow, Ichabod, Lulu, Setsuna, Rua, and Rei - are ready and waiting for any challenger lucky enough to not get Burned. A bit of parting advice when challenging Kris? Bring a lot of Burn Heals. And maybe some aloe, too.
Dreams: Kris' dream is to be the Rakuren region's master of Fire-type pokemon, becoming as well-known as the Fire-type specialists of other far-away regions.
