It's probably my favorite xbox game to date.
I love both New Vegas and Fallout 3, though I definitely prefer New Vegas.

Have you guys played? And what did you think?

I have played both and like both for different reasons.

Fallout 3 for the music which in Vegas the music is not good at all, oddly enough.

Vegas because its VEGAS duh! also because it has quite an interesting storyline which is no surprise when it comes to Bethesda.

I own all the Fallout games, even the old ones and Tactics. I heart Fallout, way better than Elder Scrolls (In my opinion). That's why I was bummed when I heard Bethesda bought off the rights from Interplay and the Fallout MMO was cancelled. But this most likely means that Fallout 4 is underway.

Actually, I believe they recently won the rights to make the Fallout MMO. Of course, since they're working on an Elder Scrolls MMO now, it may get pushed back for a while.

As much as I enjoyed 3, about five minutes into New Vegas, I forgot the former even existed. The ONLY thing I didn't like about New Vegas (compared to 3) was the power-armor; the new standard BoS armor just looks stupid to me (though the helmet is better, at leat), and after you've worn Enclave Tesla Armor, well... how do you compete with that?

Also, the little bonus perks (Wild Wasteland, Four-Eyes, Trigger Discipline, etc) were a really nice touch, especially since most of them are real-life traits that everyone has a few of.

I have both. I've yet to finish either but I'm currently working on NV.
I'm stuck in that one vault where all the plants grow. I keep dying. D;

I like both games, but I'm just so bad at both! ;___;

I prefer it to Elder Scrolls as well -- but in all fairness I haven't played a whole lot of the Elder Scrolls series. I played the beginning of Oblivion and that's all.

I'm interested in trying Skyrim because I hear it's so epic, however, guns and nuclear apocalypse will probably be my choice over dragons and fantasy land no matter how good the game is. We'll see. ^^;

A Fallout MMO would be SICK. But it wouldn't matter to me since I can't really game on my computer anyway..... ;__;

Have you played any of the DLC?

I'm currently going through Dead Money

Aww how are you "bad"? Maybe it's just how you're leveling your character? :X

That vault get's annoying. Creepy a** plant people!! But I think exploring the vaults is my favorite thing. Even though I get lost as hell -- there is an element of survival horror that I love. So many of the vaults are corrupt and crawling with creepers.

I loved Fallout 3.
I don't know why I didn't get into NV much...
Maybe because I played it on PS3...
And Fallout 3 I played on Xbox, so I was always in a party talking to people. =3

I've played both of those games and, honestly, I don't know which one I liked more. I liked Fallout 3 mainly for getting me interested in the Fallout series (never played the first two). Fallout: New Vegas I liked due to the additions they gave, but it felt so much more glitched than the 3rd one. NV had many things I liked and disliked, particularly the quest that I could never complete. It was very saddening. But aside from that, I like them both fairly equally.

I tried to play Oblivion to its fullest but It bored me and I just quit it

Skyrim is really fun but if you are like me, you will make several characters and you will be doing quests over and over until they get repetitive. But yeah, I prefer a gun over a sword

It's funny because on New Vegas Dead Money is the only DLC I don't have. I have everything else (Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, and Lonesome Road). Out of them all I like Old World Blues because it's hilarious and you make an awesome new friend in it (Won't say who though.)

No, Bethesda bought off the rights to Fallout, thus cancelling any production of a Fallout MMO. The reason for this was because it was suppose to play as one of the Pre-Fallout 3 games, which are done by Interplay. But yeah, Bethesda might make their own Fallout MMO, but they would have to start from scratch.

I only got in about a day's worth of playtime with Fallout 3, so I never really beat it. If I started playing NV, would I still understand the story? surprised

I'm not really a Fallout player, but I did enjoy playing Fallout 3, so I figured New Vegas would be a fun time-killer. smile

I actually quite enjoyed all the Fallouts.
But I personally like Fallout New Vegas the best.
And I love the VATS system. Pretty flippin' awesome.
Just wish they made it 2 player.
