 Sophie drove into the parking lot of the book store, turned off the ignition, and got out of the car and locked it. She then walked to the front door of the store, unlocked the glass door, and walked in. After the door closed behind her, she turned on the lights, " Damn! This place collected quite an amount of dust over the weekend," and with that she began dusting the place before flipping the closed sign to open. " There we go, open for business!" she said excitedly. " I sure hope there will be a lot of customers today! ^^ and with that, she sat at her "Librarian's Desk"

After awhile of waiting without a single customer, Sophie became truly bored. " Uuuuugh! Why does no one appreciate the great importance and allure of books!?" she complained rather immaturely. She then got up from her desk and walked down to the innermost shelves of the book store and began reading book after book after book and so on from the shelves.

She giggled in enthusiasm as she dragged her younger sister behind her. Seeing the entire collection, Nephilim let go of her sister's wrist and clasped her hands together as she stared in awe. "Would you just look at this! Oh it's absolutely perfect! There's got to be tons of books on machinery, engineering, clockwork, and everything else in between!" she said as she jumped around causing all the gadgets hooked to her belt to jingle noisly. Reilly smiled softly at her sister's excitement and nodded as she glanced at the huge section. "But there's so many... How do you know where to start?" she asked before biting her lower lip and twiddling her fingers. "We'll split up! You start looking through this side and I'll search over there. Write down anything that seems interesting or useful for my invention." she said as she set off as if this was some sort of adventure. Reilly, however, sighed and looked around to see if there was a worker that could help her. It would take too long to search through every single book. She walked around for a while until she spotted a woman who was reading one of the books. Assuming she was an employee here, she walked up to her timidly. "E-Excuse me miss, but I was wondering if you had any books that had information on automail? Or anything about machines to help the handicapped?" she asked her quietly, keeping her eyes fixed on the ground. ╚════════════════════════════ 『 ✧ ★ ✧ 』 ═╝

Kiro entered the bookstore and saw the two ladies. He gave them a smile and went on to go enjoy his free time by stuffing his brain with information. Kiro went to the left side of the store and went to go look for some books there. "Cooking. . .Cooking. . ." he mumbled to himself, "Maybe Yoitialine-sama would prefer something new today." He always thought of his two masters in and out of work and wanted to do anything he could for them, from cooking to cleaning, to helping with homework. SO basically, he was like their parent for that time. When he found a book, he found a desk in the middle of the store to read on and approached it, holding a cooking book in his hands.

She excused herself from the woman, saying she would be able to find it on her own. As she walked away she saw a man enter and smile at her. He didn't seem like he'd be a worker here but she was desperate to find some kind of help. Quietly she walked up to him and tried to get his attention. "Um...hi, excuse me. Do you think you could help me out for a sec? I would greatly appreciate it-" she stopped mid-sentence when she saw the book in his hand was a cooking book. This time it was her who had that sparkle of passion in her eyes and she smiled. "You like cooking too? Anything specific you're trying to make?" she asked him curiously as she was completely interested in the subject. ╚════════════════════════════ 『 ✧ ★ ✧ 』 ═╝

Kiro looked at the girl and then looked at the book.He gave her his signature gentle smile and said, "Of course I would help you." Then to answer her second question, he nodded and said once more, "Oh, I am just making something for my master. I was hoping to find something in here that would suit her 'refined' taste. Maybe brioches? " he looked up at the ceiling and rubbed his chin to show his wonderment in deciding, then he looked at the girl. "I could spare time to help you though," he added, "I have until dinnertime anyway." He held onto the book and smiled at her.

She didn't know that people could still have servants to this day and it seemed odd to her that he happened to be one. She felt rude for staring which made her quickly avert her eyes to the ground. "Thank you so much. And maybe in return, I could help you figure out what you could serve your master. I'm not that great at cooking. It is my first year after all but I could at least try to see if I can help in some way. It's the least I can do." she said as she smiled shyly. Her mind began to remember what is was she needed help with and her cheeks became a slight shade of red as she was embarrassed by her own forgetfulness. "Anyway, I've never been to this place before and there's so many books. My sister is trying to find anything that can help with inventing, engineering, and automail. It would take us forever to search through every single shelf and book to find just what we need." she explained as she fiddled with her fingers like she always did when she was nervous. It wasn't easy for her to talk to people other than her sister. "I was hoping, maybe you'd know your way around here. Maybe you know a good place for me to start looking or know of any books that could help?" she asked before her head snapped up when she heard some commotion coming from where her sister was. Nephilim had been jumping around and stretching to try to reach a book that was on a shelf too high. By the time she actually grabbed the book, she ended up falling and a few other books fell on top of her. She rubbed her head as she pouted since now she had a mess to clean up. At least she got the book she wanted in the process. ╚════════════════════════════ 『 ✧ ★ ✧ 』 ═╝

Kiro smiled and stretched out his arm for her to grab. "Come over here my dear," he said professionally, "I've been here more times than you can count, and I would love to help." Then, he noticed the girl fall. Kiro ran to her side, still holding his book, kneeling with one knee, and carefully removed the excess books. "Are you alright Miss?" he asked, "You aren't hurt are you?" He stretched out his arm to the young woman on the floor and smiled. "If you need help," Kiro offered, "If you would permit, I'd love to help you all." He said this while he returned the fallen books back in the shelves. He knew this library for he had searched it during his stay to be prepared to work under his two masters again. Kiro knew the system and knew where everything is.

She took his arm as she lifted herself up while stepping back as he put the books back in their proper place. "Nope! Not hurt at all! I have accidents like this all the time. I've been through much worse." she said as she laughed it off. When he said he would help her, she couldn't contain her excitement and she let out a shriek of joy. "Thank you so, so much! You're like some kind of super butler! I bet there isn't anything you can't do. I wonder, do you have any super powers? Cat-like agility? Laser beam eyes? Super strength? Anything? Well don't just stand there! Come on fancy pants! Show us what we're looking for!" she spoke ecstatically as she dragged him along with her even though she had asked for him to lead her. Reilly blushed as she found her sister to be quiet embarrassing and she looked at the man apologetically. "You'll have to forgive her. She's always this energetic and hyper. And as you can clearly tell, she has an overactive imagination. I blame it on all the manga she reads. Oh! Sorry, but I forgot to introduce ourselves! That is my older sister, you can call her Nephilim and my name is Reilly. It's nice to meet you." she said as she followed them, running a bit to keep up with her sister's fast pace. "Oh please! Manga has nothing to do with it! I'm a creator! An inventor! I have to keep an open mind! Anything is possible. Like splicing a cat with a rabbit. Or creating a human out of nothing but machinery. Or like building a world made out of nothing but the most sweetest of sweets known to man! One of these days, just you wait, all of it will happen!" she exclaimed proudly since she was a complete machine geek. ╚════════════════════════════ 『 ✧ ★ ✧ 』 ═╝

Kiro laughed a bit. But it was not a making fun of someone laugh, but a laugh that knows that this person can do it. She had reminded him of his old self and felt that he could truly relate to this girl. Kiro then grabbed both of their hands gently and led them to the corner of the library where there was a door. He took a key out and opened it, revealing a room. Kiro stood by the door and smiled. "This room, I have kept in secret," he said nicely, "You see, I wanted to do what you have done when I was small, but my duties polished my future. This is the room where I kept my research. I pass it all down to you." He gave Reilly the key and closed her hand. "I hope this will satisfy your needs, he said as the offered them inside. Inside were gadgets and gizmos pleasing to geek's eyes and many many books in shelves. There was a desk with unfinished papers for a project and the lamp was flickering. It was a very old room, for the walls were stained quite black. "Oh, and by the way," he said, "I'm just a butler." He gave a teasing smile at both of them.

"It's like I've died and gone to paradise... Or maybe I'm just dreaming. I could be quite delirious perhaps." she muttered quietly, not really talking to either of them. She let her fingers gently trace across the spines on a few of the books before turning her attention to the unfinished plans. "What were your goals Mr. Super Butler? I'm pretty sure you didn't have a paralyzed uncle and were trying to find a way to build him two legs out of machinery so he could walk again. But if that is what you were doing then I guess that makes this a pretty small world..." she said as she examined what was written and drawn on the plans already. When she heard him say he was just a butler, she grinned but didn't look up. "Excuse my language but I find that to be a load of bullshit sir. Your main focus may be to just be a butler, but underneath the surface there is more to you than just that. I consider this room to be an example." she said as she was studying the papers carefully. Reilly, however, just leaned against the desk with a bored expression on her face. "Thank you, this will really be helpful I think." she said as she set the key down by her sister who quickly clipped it onto one of her keychains so she wouldn't lose it. ╚════════════════════════════ 『 ✧ ★ ✧ 』 ═╝

Kiro closed the door behind him and pulled up a chair. "Well, you see," he started as he blew dust off one of the books, "I was a very ambitious child back then, and I guess because of the circumstances I had to face, I had to mature fast. Although, I could have finished this at least, that is what I truly regret." He looked down on the book. "I wish that I could have finished making this. . ." He stood up and took the paper from the desk, "this. . .was my pride and joy back then, the true 'TEACHER'." He looked so sad as he fingered the drawings. "My brother was quite mentally slow, so I wanted to do this for him." He offered the designs of the helmet-like drawing to the girls and smiled sadly. Kiro then snapped up and smiled normally. "You know quite a lot now," he said, "but I guess, I was just in a reminiscing mood." He sat back down and faced the girls. He took out his pocket watch, looked at it, and put it away. "But I do not regret becoming a butler for the Regalds," he said quite surely, "I know that my masters need me." He had a very serious face on. "Besides," he said quite depressed, "my brother has died."

"I sorry for your loss..." Reilly said softly as she noticed the subject seemed to really upset him. Nephilim, however, didn't take it easy on him. "So you went on to be a butler and left your brother behind to die? You just gave up on this wonderful invention because your so called fate did not allow it? Correct me if I'm wrong." she said the words sternly, that passion still burning in her gaze. "Well unlike you sir, no matter how impossible this may seem or how unreachable this goal is, I'm not giving up! The day of my birth it was expected of me to be a woman of class. A woman who did nothing but drink champagne and order around those that were below her status. But I said to hell with all of that! I could always tell, in my heart...even in my bones. I couldn't accept it. I didn't want that life." she explained as she smiled again and opened up the book she found, showing him page after page of the possible ways to create automail.
"My uncle taught me everything I know. He gave me the life I truly wanted. But the life he wanted was taken away when he became paralyzed. So this is my way of repaying him...for everything. I'll build him two fine legs. Better than his old ones! It won't matter that they're metal. He'll walk again and he'll be happy. And I won't rest until that day comes! Even if I keep failing until I die. I won't give up... Before he dies, I want to see my uncle smiling again. Doing all of the things he used to do. And then I'll share my research with the world which means no one will have to be paralyzed anymore. Everyone will get a second chance." she finished and then she held her hand out for him to give her the plans back. "But first I'm going to start with your invention. You and me will work on this together until it's finish and perfect! So no one will suffer the same fate your brother had. You owe it to him." she said, her voice full of determination. Reilly looked at her sister and gave a small sad smile as she had always known the reason Nephilim loved machinery so much was because of her uncle. But she had never thought it was that personal. "You shouldn't really assume Nephi. I don't think our butler friend here gave up on his brother. I just don't think he was able to finish the device in time." she stuck up for him since she knew her sister could be a little rash or blunt. ╚════════════════════════════ 『 ✧ ★ ✧ 』 ═╝

Kiro gave an amused chuckle. "I thank you," he said, pushing away the papers, "but my new life is to serve my masters. They need me the very most." He remembered Yoitie's past and how she was dragged along. Kiro also remembered how Kouru was ignored by his parents. "This machine may have been important to me before," he said, "but now, something else has come up that's helped me re cooperate." He stood up from the chair and smiled. "You may use this study room as much as you can," he smiled, "but in turn, you must go to my apartment to help me cook something for my young masters." He winked at the last part and smiled.
