 Chancellor awoke when the dark of night still danced around his room. He rolled himself out of bed, careful not to slip any blanket away from Belle. His bare feet pressing against the cold wood floor, a light shiver passing through him as he made a mental note to talk to someone about the chill.
He turned as he saw Belle sleeping peacefully, the moon longingly draped along her face. He walked around the bed, seeing the view they had. He returned to the bed as he folded up the blanket, padding it down neatly next to Belle.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not long passed, and Chancellor was silently pressing the door closed behind him. Seeing King Charming walk down the hallway with Chancellor II, "Ahh perfect just the man I wanted to see. Is it alright if Champ here comes with me to training?"
The young boy tore his eyes away from King Charming and looked to Chancellor. "Pleeasseee dad?"
Chancellor gave a laugh and smiled to his son. "Well class doesn't start for him for another week so I don't see why not. Just keep him out of trouble."
The young boy rolled his eyes as a goofy grin was plastered on his face. "Daaad."
King Charming gave a playful bump of his fist to the boy's shoulder. "Oh!"
Digging into his pocket as he pulled out a piece of parchment. "I meant to leave this with Belle."
He nodded taking the paper and glancing to it, leaving the note of question, he brought out a quill of his own and scrawled his own note of permission. Nodding to the two. "Have fun, love you Chancellor."
The boy began to skip down the hall, King Charming calling out in a chuckling whisper. "Wait up."
The other boy calling down the hall as King Charming was reaching the boy. "Love you dad."
Chancellor gave a soft laugh under his breath and returned back into the room, placing the paper on his end table. He looked to her, a sliver of moonlight hanging on her face, no longer intruding her eyes. He kneeled softly upon the bed, his lips softly pressing against her moon lit face, a visible smile appearing at this movement. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Once more he left the room and walked down the now silent hallway. Upon him he wore a shirt with a bit of a cut down the top of his short, soft ruffles at the edges. Black and thick pants that slid into his black heavy boots with gold trims at the edge of his boots.
He soon found himself in his class, sitting at his front desk and glancing to a clock that sat on his desk. It was still another hour before this class started and he had far too many thoughts to go back to sleep. He should have brought Isabella, she could distract him from these thoughts.
He pulled out the drawers, to see nothing but empty boxes. He closed the drawer, a soft slam as the drawer connected back with the desk.
He looked to his desk and saw a book lying on his desk with a note that read. "I thought you would enjoy this. Love you. ~Belle~"
He smiled and picked up the book, the title reading; Fortune's Demise, a gold silver pattern that bordered the front cover, and with no further ado he flipped past the introductory pages, delving into the story.
