I actually lowered myself to listening to the radio, which around here is garbage. So I turn on the classic rock station and what do i hear? Alice in Chains followed by Pearl Jam... I remember when this s**t was just coming out, and now it's classic rock? Man I must be getting old... crying

See what you should do is listen to so much music, that you memerize a billion songs, and lyrics. then when your bored you play it in your head, and bam. A radio of music you like...skill.

Ha! Yeah, I know how you feel. Hell, it's been ages since I've listened to the radio though. Ever since I got an ipod I've just been plugging that in and listened to my own stuff. Just can't stand the radio anymore. I'd be flipping through it forever and MAYBE finding something; usually classic rock. Forget finding any metal. Most of the metal I've found has been from friends, and to tell you the truth, I hope to find more bands from this guild if I can.

Check out the Acquired Taste thread, it has a huge list of favorite bands by a bunch of members, also you can post what kind of bands you love the most and someone will be sure to give you suggestions

I know what you mean man. It first got put into perspective for me when I was watching VH1 Classics with one of my buddies, and a Nirvana video came on. Nirvana were just getting popular when I was a kid heh.
