It's weird getting use to gaia if you have not done so already.
Usually, you can figure out what to do by just click on all the features and testing them out for yourself.

If you don't learn in that way and would rather read about gaia, they do have a help center with a huge list of F.A.Q.

Anything you need to know can be located there.

Basics of Gaia

What is the currency?
Gaia Gold is the main form of currency. You can earn this free and easily. The other type of currency is Gaia Cash. You have to buy Gaia Cash with real money. You can earn Gaia Cash by click on the little cash tree.

By clicking on him, you get taken to different offers that will allow you to earn 1 to 5 Gaia Cash for each of the offers completed. This is usually a video or quiz you take. It's simple and free. There are other ways to earn Gaia Cash, but those are through surveys or other offers; some of these are not free.

There are many ways to get gold. Nearly every action you take results in you earning gold. It's as easy as loading a page! Look below for some of the ways in which you can earn gold. Click on each title or image for more information.

- Daily Chance User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

This is available on zomg! and on the top of each page.
Daily Chances do not just give you gaia gold. They may give you items as well.

- Shake Trees & Bushes in Towns User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Towns are located under the "World" Tab.

- Play Games User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

All games are located under the Game tab. There are so many different games to choose from. All the games do give you gaia gold. Zomg! is usually the best way to get gold. You do need flash to play these games. OMGPOP games do give you gold. They're quite fun to play in. WordBump, Fishing, and JigSaw sometimes gives you items. Dumpster Dive gives you items as well. It isn't much of a "game" though.

Note: If you play resort world, when you do something that ask you to "share with friends," do it. That's how you get the gaia gold. It doesn't post on your facebook. It only post "My friends stuff" on the My Gaia page.

Note: You can Dumpster Dive more than once per day. You just have to give "Pete" some time to rest.

- Post in the Forums User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Posting in the forums do give you a lot of gold if you're very talkative. Gaia forums are a lot different than the Cosmo forums. There's girls and guys of all ages there. This guild's forum only has members of goSupermodel. Guild, Clan, and regular forums all give you gold if you post or reply.

Note: Voting in poles also give you gaia gold. These poles can be located in the forums that have them. (You can make a pole about anything.)

Note: Profile Commenting also give you gaia gold, so spam a friend.

- Play Booty Grab & Aquarium Activities User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Booty Grab can be played when someone's aquarium is lit up in the forums. It will have a thing saying "Booty Grab" on it, so you know you can play.

Note: The shell in your own aquarium gives gaia gold or other items. It's similar to Daily Chance. It gives you something free once per day.

- Compete in Arenas User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Arena is under the Forums tab. You can compete or vote in the arena for Art, Writing, Homes, or Avatar competitions. Rating and competing both give you gaia gold.

- Buy Low & Sell High in Marketplace User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

The Marketplace is located under the "Shops" tab.
Buy and sell in the market at your own risk. The prices of items change daily. Some items are older, so they're far more expensive than others.

Note: You don't always have to sell your items in the market. If the item you have has a "sell back" feature which sells back for more than what it sells in the market place, I suggest you use the "sell back" feature. If the item does not have it and it's only worth 1 gaia gold, just donate it. It will then be placed in the Dumpster Dive game for someone else to receive.

Note: To sell an item with the "Sell back" feature, you must go to your full inventory. Here is how:
1. Click on your avatar - This will bring you to your inventory.
2. On the bottom right of your inventory box, there should be a button saying "Full Inventory," click that
3. Once your full inventory comes up, select the item you wish to sell back
4. An "Item Details" window should come up. It will list buttons for Equiping item, Gifting item, Selling item, Donating item, Trashing item (which gets rid of it completely, and to close.
5. If you wish to sell the item through the "sell back" feature, click "Sell Item"
