School: Previously Broussard's Institution of Arts, but after her father died Summer dropped out and began studying at home when she had the time.
Personality:
Determined - Whether the task at hand is learning to bake a flawless souffle or teaching her younger siblings how to read, Summer will accomplish it come hell or high water. Once she's set her mind to accomplishing something the girl will proceed with dogged determination until she's found success, no matter how long it takes.
Resilient - Some people would be heartbroken to be taken out of school. Some would fall apart when faced with the difficulties that Summer's life presented to her. There are others who would turn bitter and angry or who would run away from their responsibilities. Summer Stokes is none of the above. She can take a blow and seems to bounce right back with little effort. She accepts the challenges life has to offer her with an acceptance and determination and even a little bit of a sparkle in her eye.
Silly - Cheesy jokes? Frosting fights? Seeing who can race down to the pond the fastest? These are the sort of things that bring Summer the greatest happiness. She loves to cut loose and just be goofy whenever she has the opportunity, even if those opportunities don't occur as often as she would like. She laughs at nearly everything, especially herself.
Worried - Summer worries about her sisters constantly. She doesn't want them to have to sacrifice the same way that she has. She doesn't want them to have to struggle or fight for anything. So she frets over money and how to support them. She frets over how hard her mother works to support the family. She worries about her sister's educations and she worries about their chances of success in the world. She worries so much about providing some kind of better life for them that she often overlooks the fact that she works far too hard for a girl her age.
Tunnel-vision - Summer sometimes has trouble seeing the forest for the trees. She's so focused on helping to support her family that she has given up a lot of her own freedom and social pleasures. Her old friends tried to be supportive of her new responsibilities, but in the early aftermath of her father's death she was making time for no one but her family. She has only just begun to realize that she pushed most of her friends away, and that she's not sure how to repair some of those relationships.
Appearance:
Summer is built like a pinup girl with a small waist and an appealing roundness to her. Her reddish-brown hair can often be found curling heavily down her back or tied with a bit of ribbon to keep it out of her face. She's fairly no-nonsense about her appearance, she rarely wears makeup and takes very few pains with personal style, preferring function over form, though this was not always the case. Her clothing is usually well worn but clean and practical. She has a scattering of freckles across her nose and she dimples when she smiles.
History: Summer started off her life without a care in the world. Her parents owned and ran a bakery and Summer was always surrounded by comforting smells and a wealth of love and security. While they were not wealthy, they never wanted for anything and life was good. When Summer was six years old, her parents had another baby and Summer found herself adoring her new role as Big Sister. Things seemed as if they couldn't get any better, life was full of sunshine and rainbows and cupcakes, her parents were madly in love and her baby sister was a delight. She began attending Broussard's when she was eleven and showed great promise as a pastry chef, her ultimate goal being to take over the family bakery someday. When Summer was thirteen her parents had twin girls and once again Summer became a proud big sister. Her life was full of pride in her schooling and warmth and love with her family. Jack Stokes doted on his wife and all of his daughters and Elizabeth Stokes was radiantly beautiful and brought light and laughter with her everywhere she went.
Alas, happiness is often fleeting and Summer's was ripped away from her abruptly. When she was fourteen and her sister Autumn was five, their father was killed. The true details of his death were always unclear. Summer heard several different stories of the car accident in which he had died. Some said it had been a drunk driver, some said he himself had been drunk and yet others had significantly more outlandish theories. None of it really mattered to Summer at the time, however. Her father was dead. Life, as she knew it, was over. Her mother now had to run the bakery, pay for Summer's schooling and raise a five year old and one year old twins by herself. It was, needless to say, an impossible feat. Money grew incredibly tight and Summer had no choice but to leave school and come home to help her mother. As young as she was, she had already learned a lot about baking and became a great help to her mother both in the shop as well as with raising her little sisters. Bearing more responsibilities than any young girl should didn't seem to outwardly phase Summer and over the next three years the little family began to regain some semblance of balance and happiness. They still mourn the loss of Jack Stokes, that pain will never go away. But they have found the strength to pick themselves up and triumph.
Family:
Jack Stokes: Father, Deceased.
Jack was a master baker and very proud of his craft. He was equally proud of his beautiful wife and his four daughters, all of whom he doted on. He was close to his family and worked hard to provide for them. A sensitive and quiet man, Jack charmed people with his sweet smile and his eagerness to reach out to anyone who came into his shop.
Elizabeth Stokes: Mother
Elizabeth Stokes married young and was a beautiful and sweet wife and mother. She was gentle and cheerful and always had a smile for everyone she met. Once her husband died, Elizabeth changed. Her smiles were readily available but began to be strained and tired. Small lines appeared on her face denoting the loss and struggle she was going through. Her age began to show and there were times that she simply shut down, unable to cope with the loss of her husband and the prospect of moving through life and all it's added responsibilities and hardships. She sometimes locks herself in her room or disappears for days at a time with no warning when things get too big for her to handle. But then she always comes back, determined to keep fighting for her family.
Autumn Stokes: Little sister
Autumn is an anxious and fretful girl. Everything seems to worry and frighten her. Because her father died when she was so young and she watched her mother and her sister working so hard and being so exhausted all the time she developed a tendency to worry constantly about their well-being. She tries to be an adult before her time and looks to Summer as an example of how a girl must set aside childhood and take on responsibilities. She is not terribly social and is greatly uncomfortable around strangers.
April and May Stokes: Twins, little sisters.
April and May are about a year old and they're very sweet babies, which makes life easier on everyone. That being said, they're babies and there is not a lot of personality or information worth noting.

Desires: Summer desires safety, security and comfort for her family above everything else. She wants her mother not to have to work so hard and for her little sisters to have everything they could ever want and never have to sacrifice the way that Summer and her mother have.

Type of Magic: Tracking/finding: Summer can find anyone or anything eventually, there's simply no hiding from her.This skill is invaluable when it comes to strategy and planning. The harder something is to track or find the more drain it puts on her soul gem. Finding lost keys? Cake. Finding a Witch who doesn't want to be found? Much more difficult. This magic also spills over onto her crossbow - her arrows always find their mark.
