So, I figured, if I found my old high school stuff, I should share it, since I wrote alot duing high school. Let me know what you guys think of it, or if you have any ideas on how I can improve some of these things. Thank you!
First one, was a short story with the theme of Thanksgiving, writing in my last year in high school. Second one, tenth grade, the only writing I had published by the newspaper Third one, last year in high school, our first project, make a poem that described yourself so that others could get to know you Teachers comment, You are very light in your affinity with darkness, guardian angle and night. Fourth one, a Sufi for english class, after the teacher give me guidlines one what subejct matter I could right on. Fifth one, a Comtemporary for english class. I wish I still had this picture on my computer to show you, taken at Famine, I caught a couple kissing, and everything else is burrly aroudn them, but they are still and it wasn't even photoshoped. Sixth one, Eleventh grade english, to show our heritage in poem form. Seventh one, a Ode for english, can you see what inspired me if you guess right I give you something shiny!

She bent over the toilet, letting the sickness out of her mouth. Her breath ragged and labored. How she hated this day, a day to give thanks, yet there was nothing she could be thankful for. Not after everything the past few months had brought. Her boyfriend decided to show her how much he loved her, but little did she know it would have these consequences. Never did she think she would be pregnant with the father rejecting her and her swollen womb. Rubbing her stomach in a loving way she slid down the wall. trying her best to keep the food in for the baby, if not her own sake. The child kicked, making the girl smile. Tears overflowed form her eyes. It had been a while since she was happy. In one moment she lost everything, her boyfriend, her friends, even her chance at Yale had been torn down. There was a soft knock on the door, it opened silently, before closing in equal silence. The boy standing there smiled sadly at her. He knew her story, he had been the only one at school that didn't throw her away or give her dirty looks. He protected her. She gave a weak smile in turn. It was so hard to smile now. Yet here she was sitting on the bathroom floor smiling at her last friend on earth. When he had told her she could spend the holidays with him and his folks, she didn't even think. She left her family in favor of people whom she had never met. It was just a way to leave her house, away from the disapproving stares and the guilt trips. She shook her head wincing in pain. He was at her side instantly; one hand holding a wet paper towel wiping off her face, while the other hand rubbed her womb. The child seemed to calm at his touch. She rested her head against his shoulder. More then once she wished that it had been this man that had done this, but still she wouldn't have traded that she had for anything in the world. "Is the child giving yo problems?" His voice was soft, kind. She shook her head. "No, the turkey set me off, I think. Sorry." He wrapped his arm around her, cradling her to him. "There is nothing to be sorry for." He wiped her treas, humming a lullaby in her ear. giving her time to collect herself, before braving the world once again. Take deep breaths that is what she kept telling herself, yet another wave of nausea swept over her. She pushed her white knight away, to lie over the toilet. She could feel his hand holding back her hair and rubbing her back, trying to bring her some comfort. When it had stopped, another wet towel was given to her. She stood, blood rushing to her head making her dizzy. He caught her before she fell. "Easy." His eyes worried as he watched her. She nodded mutely. The child renewed its stretching, her hand flew to her stomach, rubbing where the child kicked. He helped her walk out of the bathroom. Sitting on the couch she watched as he helped his family ready the table and make the food. The little children sat near her begging for stories and to feel her stomach. She smiled and told them old legends that she knew, spinning the tales as well as she could. She loved lore, it was going to be her minor as she study for business at Yale. Yet she wouldn't change anything for this moment in time. He was watching her with the young ones, she glanced up and smiled. Maybe there was somethings to be thankful for. Her child was health and would be born soon, she had found a true friend and a family that didn't judge her. She rubbed her womb, and the child kicked genitally in agreement with her mother.

Hallows Eve Hallows eve, hallows eve come forth with deadly treats, Black cats and witch's hats On all hallows eve. Ghostly frights, fiends take flight On our most sacred night, Demons wake, warriors fight For this dreamer's world. Children sleep, maidens' scream As we roam about, Monsters slain, witches melt As slayers hunt us down. The sun comes up, The moon goes down, We must go. Until next year around you must wait 'Till all hallows eve We wait....

The Light Darkness Darkness in the deepest light A pillar of strength Never to be seen as a burning fire The past never saw The future blind in seeing These wings closed close to my body Yet the wings are being torn The pain and the pleasure found within The blind will see The rose turn black Yet here I live still and dead Love is found yet push far from being No hatred burns for rejections taken The eyes shed no tears in the white darkness In this place i call my own My own world in this darkness Where others only see light.

To Fly Time pauses in the dark mush like you Quiet breath are harsh to the ear, all is silent You search for one fleck of light, one simmer of hope Open your eyes! dareness is nothing, time has passed Think not on the solid ground, the cold bars Picture open skies, the sound of the ocean Chains and ropes hold your body down Yet your mind goes far beyond Making your body limb, as your leave your body Breakt eh chains and walls, you will be free Like the eagle in the sky The curtain opens, light floods in Chasing your shadows of doubt away YOu have seen all darken places fade into light Like the night becomes day There is no chains only freedom For nothing can imprison your mind It gives you hope and life With this knowledge you are free to fly To fly, with the eagle in the endless sky

A Kiss A warmth Spreading through one's body Arms enclose Stopping any escape A hand Tilts the head up Toward another's lips Soft and moist Breath Melds together They touch each other's lips In a first kiss Eyes shining Slowly close Arms tighten Pulling them closer Time has stopped The world stands still All weariness leaves In the mind of the lovers

Campbell's Strong and Proud Come one, come all, come lad and lassie Come see our history in the clan castle Warriors, strong never will you see us plead For our lives or homes in sweet battle
Stubborn as the boar Our crest shows It is within us to our very core Never are our spirits in sadness or lows
Never Forget Our saying strong Our past, preasent, future not lost It is our purest bond
This land so lush and green In the Highlands our songs are heard Here to this land we are never mean Where in our kilts we wathch the birds
Powerful, stonrg, tearless and together Now we are scattered like the wind We are simply Campbells forever We are merely Scottish kin

Taken a Fool Never fall prey to the words of a fool Words so sweet and sound like sweet honeydew He will lead you from your lighted path In which the fool would then be you Stay fast behind your unemotional mask Let a marred heart remind you of no pain Have your love take flight on wings of a dove Then no fool will ever take you From your lion's heart and your gentle eyes.

This one has to be my favorite... I've been a fool so many times, it just seems to come at the most random of moments.

Captain Silas Manner This one has to be my favorite... I've been a fool so many times, it just seems to come at the most random of moments.
Thank you. I know the feeling, Since the ode was to give advise I thought of something that I just wished someone would have told me sooner and I figured that I was used my friends that I was foolishly friends with so this was advise I gave to myself. They can't change you and they can't hurt you if all you offer them is a mask.
