this is something that should probably take place two years after what ever happens in Rebirth, if anything... it involves mostly only characters i have played, to avoid any thing that others wouldn't have their character do. this is going to give alot of answers to what happened to Reko, and what i have planned for new characters, as well as a few characters i haven't brought in yet. i'm gonna post pictures of the characters as i go like in a RP only not for every thing they say, just as they come in. any questions or comments are welcome just post them here. i'll probably just post a few paragraphs at a time since i haven't even really got started.

Reko fell back against the wall again, coughing up blood at the impact of the blade against his chest. Reko had learned from last time, but even thre solid steel plate he had kept on his chest didn’t stop the impact from breaking a few ribs. Vale took only a moment look and see that the blade was stick in something but not his son. “your only drawing this out longer.” the heartless man said as he withdrew the blade and kicked hard on the steel plate. Reko didn’t need to hear the metal snap to know the plate wasn’t going to help anymore, he felt the plate slam into his chest again probably breaking another two ribs and causing more blood to come up. “your getting weak old man.” he managed to cough up as he spit a little blood. Reko still hadn’t brought out the guardian’s sword, he hadn’t come to fight…. So why had he come to find his father once again?

Reko sat with his eyes closed, looking down at the table surrounded by the other guardians, after the last few months this had become a common sight. For anyone who knew Reko years ago seeing him setting at a table, commanding an entire group of fighters, but uniting them for a reason other than fighting. “and your sure that this is all correct?” he ask as he sighs and rubbed his forehead. A long, black haired wolf slides a few papers up to the middle of the table. “yah, we have tried every form of contact with him and the others, all we’ve been able to find out is this one is active and will be at full force in a matter of weeks.” Sid, Reko’s one time head rival in “The Pack” when he was a child, now his head source of information and contacts. Reko leaned back in the chair looking to the ceiling as he thought. “it must really be something if he’s having to ignore this…” Reko slowly stood up and put a hand to his mouth. “ok…. So our only chance to clear this thing before it rises is busy, and Alexandra’s reach doesn’t extend to Forenzia, if she sends her army there it would be looked upon as an act of war, and not to mention be completely whipped out by the creature. As the queen here we can’t allow her to face something like another Ancient, even the possibility of losing her if too dangerous a risk to take. No doubt where ever he is Victor is with him, so there’s another prized fighter missing…” Reko was going over all the possible choices and none were eligible, the only ones left were Kairi, which he would not even consider placing her in any danger, Himself, which he had intended to go already, and….THAT man. For the first time in a while Reko frowned as he thought about his father, the only other person with a power that could stand toe to toe with an ancient and probably still stand above it. Another wolf, a short red haired man with a scar going from his right cheek across his nose and over his left eye, shifted forward in his seat. “you know, I’m sure if we round up enough mercenaries and leave today it won’t be at full power when we arrive, with enough of them we might stand a chance.” Reko nodded for a second then shook his head. “no Felix, we handle this the way that gets everyone home, I’m not loosing anyone just because I decided to go with numbers over skill, when we go, we go prepared and with the right people.” Felix nodded at the lord of the guardian wolves proved just why he had received the title from the previous lord, the guardians kept peace between the races and protected the wolf race, and Reko’s choices were focused around that. There was a thud from the far end of the table as a large war hammer was dropped to the table and a pair of boots are brought up as another long black haired wolf leans back and props his feet up on the table. “honestly Reko you know we can handle this thing, why don’t we all just pack up, head out there and clear this thing out? I mean look at the wolves around this table, you didn’t just pick up because we look pretty.” Reko looks at the wolf with a harsh glare but Drezz still kept a calm smirk on his face, finally Reko let a small laugh and started walking around the table. “yes Drezz I know just what we can all do, but I also know what an Ancient is capable of, none of you have seen the power and destruction one of these things have, much less one that has a following of devout cultist.” he stops as he gets behind Drezz and looked down at him. “and if you keep putting your feet up on my table I’m going to knock your head off.” he says as he lightly smacks him across the head. This brought a light laugh from everyone there till Reko continued. “ether way nothing is going to get done today, the ancient will sleep for a while longer and so should we. Its late, everyone get home. And Rizzo, congratulations on the twins, tell Delila I’m sorry you couldn’t make it to the birth, I’ll make it up to you two some way.” a blond haired wolf with a ponytail just smiles and gives a wave acknowledging that he will do just that. Reko draws out the elegantly designed sword of the guardian wolves and holds it high. “Guardians!” the others there do the same and raise their own weapons. “dismissed.”

Reko stood on the deck extending out of his room looking out over the lands, night seemed to be his most peaceful times, like always. In the day, there was dealing with anyone with complaints about the wolf race, then came any kind of traveling he had to do for the Guardians, several times that would be followed by meeting with other influential people of other races, then meeting with the guardians to discuss what’s happened. That was usually the whole day but there was days he had nothing like that to do but they were still no where near as peaceful as night. Recent events have lead the guardian wolves into a new campaign to uncover the remaining Ancients, a campaign that has so far been a slow process and the only thing to come from it is bad news. But despite all that Reko’s mind would only travel back to one thing, Kairi. Despite returning from the dead, despite managing to win Alexandra over finally, despite organizing the guardian wolves again, despite Rubio’s removal from his life, despite all this he still has not managed to bring back the Kairi from so may years ago. There were days when they were close like they had been before, then something would require him to leave for a day or more and Kairi’s fear that he would never return surfaced again. He would try late into the night to reassure her that he would return but the past would still come back, more often than most castle guards would arrive to check on the princess which would end the argument as Kairi would storm out. It had been a while since they had one of those moments, but that still didn’t mean he would see Kairi every night. Right now he was waiting, as every moment passed he began to feel like it would be another night he would go without seeing her, then he heard his room door open. As he looked back into his room he saw Kairi stepping inside and looking around for him. After a second she spotted him and her soft smile told him that his peaceful night would continue, but with the one he loved by his side.

Reko slowly pulled himself out of bed, reaching over but finding an empty space. Kairi had left before him, but it wasn’t a surprise to him. In the years that Reko had returned the Guardian wolves to their status his years of fighting were catching up to him. Sleeping would come easier and quicker, also he had become impossible to wake up often sleeping late. Reko had almost completely given up combat, if he wasn’t still the one going out and managing the troubles of the guardians he would fear that he might lose to a 12 year old. Reko was an ambassador to the wolf race now, a position he had never seen himself in when he was with the pack, but now those two things had changed place, the pack was all but lost to him now and never came to mind unless Sid would ask about it, and even those were rare. He sat on her bed for a moment, the day’s schedule playing through his head. First thing was to go by the guardian’s quarters and check for any news that may have come in over night. Finally Reko got up, showering and changing for the day, glancing over to the corner before he goes to leave. There on a stand was the tattered and torn cloak, he had worn for years. It had remained untouched since the day he returned, he wanted nothing to do with his father anymore, even the scythe he had used and risk his life with many times, was no longer in his possession, but he still wasn’t sure if it was by choice or if he just didn’t know what happened with it. Still unsure why he kept it he turns and closes the door and heads out. As Reko walked up to the door of the guardian’s quarters it opened and Felix walked out, stopping at he sees Reko. “sorry Reko, nothing new. You could go back home but Alessa is here to see you.” Reko sighed as he heard that nothing had come up, he had been hoping contact with him had come up over night but that hadn’t happened. “thanks Felix, whats got you here so early?” just then his answer walked out the door in the form of the girl who managed the night shift crew in the quarters. “good morning Lord Reko.” she said in acknowledgment to the lord of the guardian wolves. He nodded to her and waited till she left to look back to Felix, everyone knew the hardcore beast had a crush of the girl but still hadn’t said more than “hi” and “bye” to her. “she isn’t going to be single forever Felix, she’s a beautiful young girl.” Felix eyed him for a moment then turned to walk away. “just go see what Alessa wants.” Reko smiled lightly and went in to find Alessa. As expected there she stood, in the middle of the Guardian Wolves meeting room, looking up at the eccentric paintings on the ceiling. “Alessa. Nice seeing you again.” the woman turned around not showing much expression, till she saw it was indeed Reko standing there, slowly a smile showed on her face as she sat on the table. “Reko. How are things, I heard you haven’t had much luck.” now days Alessa was the only human to know as much about the guardian wolves as Reko did, in a way she was one of the guardians, just not officially. Alessa and Reko had become close friends after she had been the one to bring him back from the dead. “no. its looking more and more like I may have to do this alone.” Alessa crosses her legs as she sets back farther on the table. “your considering the pact again…. The one you worked hard to get rid of.” Reko’s entire body went limp. No one but Alessa would have known he was thinking just that, even though he had tried to think of any other choice it still remained the only answer he saw. “nothing but something of that power can handle and ancient, especially a fully awakened one.” Alessa kept the same look she had for years, not showing any real emotion as she got up and walked over to the lord of the guardian wolves… then slapped him. “how dare you Reko Howitz. Did you even think about the trouble people went through to help you the first time you did that? How much pain you caused Kairi? You talk of how much you love her yet you only think about driving her away again. Everyone says you aren’t the same reko anymore, but you are, your just not the Reko they knew. You’re the howitz pack Reko, the one wanting to keep everyone away.” Reko was the only one who would get any emotion from Alessa. “all these options you have gone over you could use them all but you just don’t want to. You could call up Victor, reguardless of his and Hisa’s status he would be here in a day, Kairi is perfectly capable of handing herself in a fight and with you fighting to protect her theres nothing that can stop you, even if you can’t contact those Sin boys you have other capable friends.” Reko felt like a dog being scolded by its owner all he could manage to do was avert his eyes and look away. “I don’t have anyone on that level of strength.” he managed to get out. “yes you do…. Infact she’s here to see you. that’s why I came here today.” Reko looked up confused, he didn’t know anyone else with skill above any of his guardians that was why he had chosen them, so who was there? He didn’t have time to ask, as someone’s voice cut into the air between them and ripped open a lot of old memories. “R-R-Reko!” as he slowly looked over his shoulder he saw the white haired beauty of the pack he once lived. Kayla white stood in the door of the guardians’ meeting chambers, her eyes clouded with tears, but Reko couldn’t figure out why. Then it slowly dawned on him, she was the only one who had not been told that Reko had returned, only that he had died. Reko barely made it over to her as she fell to her knees and started crying. Explaining this to her was going to take a while.
