Sazie Chan Where Knuckles guards the Master Emerald  *Sitting down next to the right of the massive emerald, knuckles sighed as he bored out of his mind as he thought: "No fair, while sonic and tail's is having a field day i'm stuck here on my boring guard duty."

~As Knuckles was leisurely complaining about his guard duty, the shape of someone was approaching him. Upon closer inspection, he would notice that the stranger was actually an Echidna. He had grey fur and wore clothes like that of the humans of earth, showing a more modern look for an Echidna of this time. He slowly approached the shrine of the master emerald not appearing to give knuckles but a second glance before slowly making his way to the emerald and starting to look around it. He appeared to be searching for something but never once did he touch the emerald itself. He walked around looking before he spoke.~ "Hey you there? Your from the knuckles tribe I presume? I do not wish to cause any trouble even though we are from warring tribes but I have come here to retrieve the surviving Chao from Chaos' carnage. I have taken it upon myself to be their new protector and make sure Chaos never harms them or anyone else again. I understand that your from a tribe who is not to fond of Nocturnus echindas like myself however if you will willingly release the remaining Chao into my custody then I promise to leave in peace without conflict toward you or your precious emerald. What say you?"

~Zero Wolfbane~ ~The Wolf~ He will pay for what he's done to my people. "Such harsh words against your own race. Pity......" The sound of sparking electricity followed the echoing voice throughout the large shrine. The electric current could actually be seen in the dark, showing a small cascade of a dark figure that slowly walked towards the light. Once in sight, Zero appeared clearly. In his right hand was half of a purple hornet bot, the bottom half missing. He obviously ripped it apart while coming here. His other hand was in his pocket, giving him a casual look. Zero's crimson eyes glared over at the two echidnas before dropping the messed up robot made by Dr. Eggman, leaving it to rust. He personally wasn't their to solve their dispute, but to help himself. He slowly walked towards the other two, again seeming calm and cool, regardless of his darker look. He looked like he was heading for Knuckles though, leaving the other to do as he pleased. "On another note, I'm here for another reason....... I despise asking for it, but I need a bit of help looking for the Chaos Emeralds. I heard you are the guy to see about that......" He stopped away from the two about 20 feet out, keeping some distance from the strangers. They shall be avengedโฆโฆ..

~He sighed as he walked closer to knuckles but keeping his calm as he started to speak once again~ "You seem to misunderstand me...I do not wish to harm or take the emerald you hold so dear. I have no interest in it. I only wish for you to tell me where the little Chao are so I may take care of them as their new guardian. I only wish to retrieve them. I do not want the emerald"

He wasn't too interested in what he was there for, only giving him attention since he spoke after him. His red gaze went back to Knuckles as he opened his mouth, getting ready to speak again. He obviously wasn't very patient. However, something stopped him, as if a light bulb went on in his head. He rolled his eyes, feeling silly. He didn't need any help if he could simply find one Chaos Emerald on his own. That one should help him find the rest. Or so he's heard. He spun around, forgetting about his request. "Never mind this......" He disappeared into the darkness, leaving the other two behind to take care of their own business. [Exits] They shall be avengedโฆโฆ..

"And, how the hell am i supposed to trust a man i don't even know? so what if you want to protect the chao, Apperence's can be decieving, and i'm not a fool to let you be in charge of watching the young one's."

~His eye twitched slightly as he was annoyed by his response and he sighed before staring at him in the eyes with a cocky attitude ~ "Oh i am the untrustworthy one? Need i remind you who it was who had lost the master emerald more than once to a certain Dr. Eggman and Rouge The Bat? It seems to me your not fit to take care of anything let alone little ones like the Chao. Now I will not take your emerald because i have no need for it but i suggest you allow the Chao into my custody or else i will have to take them by force."

~He smirked after hearing Knuckles' answer and walked over to where the Chao were hidden and picked them up and started to walk off with them, not even seeming to care about what happened to the emerald nor his Echidna brethren.~ "Heh. Thats what I thought. Smart move. Now I will take my leave and you will not have to worry about me coming back to bother you about the emrald or anything. However, if you see Chaos....do not kill him. He will be my kill and that's final. I have a score to settle with him"

((since the old knuckles disappeared all previous interactions with him are null and void, declared of the new knuckles (cuz i dun feel like reading and working of someone else's base)))  Knuckles
The Echidna  Knuckles rested back up against the emerald, another quiet day it seemed, he would even mind that annoying hedgehog as company now. He let out a sign and opened his eyes to scan the surrounding area. Nothing. Another sigh followed him closing his eyes again. He was too good at his job, not even Eggman tried for the Master Emerald and instead went after the mini jewels.

Knuckles
The Echidna Knuckles sighed with boredom. He started to pick up little pebbles and chuck them as far as he could. "When is Eggman gonna make his next move?" he asked himself. He wanted some action, he could only stand sitting around for so long.
