Jedi High Council

The Jedi High Council, also known, simply, as the Jedi Council, was the primary Jedi Council of the Jedi Order during the rule of the Galactic Republic. The High Council met in the southeast tower of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.

The High Council was a group of twelve wise and powerful Jedi Masters who were elected to guide the Order as well as to serve as an advisory body for the Office of the Supreme Chancellor. The Council was made up of five lifetime members, four long-term members, and three limited-term members. This organizational structure had evolved from the earlier assemblies of Jedi Masters, and during the Great Hyperspace War may have been nothing more than an "inner circle" within the assembly. The Council originally had no set meeting place, and met irregularly on planets such as Ossus, Alderaan, and Chandrila. With the relocation of the Order from Ossus to Coruscant, the Council was permanently established on that world.

Time... time... and time again, this place turns grey. Cold, small, tiny. Who would be used to such a close cage. Such a cage that could hold only visitor that didn't even stay long. Nothing came to stay, nothing came to chat, nothing came to help or save. This place didn't look like the place for saving, it just looked normal in their eyes, just a room with windows that seemed to open, couches that seemed comfy, and a holographic desk that seemed nice and organized. it was only organized because she wouldn't allow this cage to get dirtied by others. Yes, she, there, who lived in this cage most of her years, most of her days, who sought of interaction, lived not only in this what seemed like a cage, but in a monster dome, per say. This place seemed like he help wonders and happiness, but that was only if you created it by yourself. It would hold wonders if you tried. This place, and the place she often called her cage, are part of a much larger container that she will never be able to escape from, never be able to run away, and she, in fact, will never try to run away. Strange right? How would what to be in a cage, a dome, a container, for all to look at. All of the universe. To watch, and predict, and stare, and watch to see what these little people could do. All of them, caged. But, the one that was mostly caged, would stand up and one day break that container, and the dome, and be released from her cage that would cause her freedom, and the freedom of the rest trapped... but in doing so, would bring chaos to the universe. Chaos was why she was here though, here in this cage. Because she would be the protector of peace, be the protect her the universe, and in order to do that, she had to join this cage, and call it her home. This... is the Jedi Republic.

Who is she? She who is at her "desk", in her "office," or meeting area, wearing a brown, wool, cloak with the hood off of her glowing head. An aura emitting faintly from her body, glowing pure and glorious, but still small and close to her. However, her face was not human. Her eyes, half open, were slightly tilted, but were still small, were like little black marbles with a blue tint in the middle of it. Her eyes constantly glistened from being wet due to her natural state. Her hand did not have five fingers. She only had three, and her hands were small and delicate, but appeared rough on her palms. her skin was mostly white, but due to her aura, it seemed softly multicolored. Her hair also was softly multicolored, except for one strand that was a soft, by stand out, pink. She also had antennas, stretching out from he head. They looked so fragile that if you touched them, you would think they would break. She also had three toes, but slender feet, like a human, which were not covered up by any form of shoe at the moment. But you would be surprised when you saw her walk. She stood naturally on the balls of her feet, right before her toes, almost as if she was a ballerina, but she did understand what a ballerina was, so she kept quiet when she was told so. Her body was very thin. Like her antennas, it looked like it you hugged her small body, if you even got that close, then you would break her in half. The only thing missing, was the way her backed looked, and that was hidden beneath the cloak, for good reasons. Other than that, she what she looked like. Her species; Beaudive, her name, ... she has gone by many names, and she has lived many years to make them, but the one she goes by here, in this place called a temple, is the Master Of the Order, Grand Master Nimbus.

Master of the Order... the Jedi order, the one she was sworn into to keep chaos from reaching parts of the universe, to protect it, to love it, and she was on top of it all. One of the big bosses, but the top Jedi that represented the Republic... more like an icon each day. rapidly, she was beginning to go on less and less missions with the other Jedi, and she has been ordered to stay at the temple more to watch over incoming younglings, padawans, and future Jedi. The council, who she was part of, not in charge of, was taking her out more of the missions she REQUESTED to go on, but they would only allow her to enter either huge missions that involved war, or recruitment missions. And since she didn't have a padawan nor any younglings at the moment, she couldn't go on missions like those either. So, since was no upcoming wars anywhere, she was stuck, here, training every day, by herself.

Suddenly, the grand master became frustrated with her work and calmly shut down the hologram in front of her, rising up from her chair and strode silently over to a window. Her mind was all tangled up, in a mess, and she needed to calm herself, so she began to count the flying motor transporters that passed by the temple, far, far away from the temple itself. It soothed her worries, and began to sooth the pain that rapidly came and gone more frequently than before years. Someone would visit her soon, she felt it in the pattern of feet around her, some avoided the meeting room, but some tried to attempt knocking and only patted the door and walked away scared like. She didn't realized that she was feared by people as well. They must have sensed she was troubled. They were right to avoid her. She wasn't in the best of moods. She, she went back to counting motor transporters and waiting for a sound at the door, and a presence becoming clear.

Marcus walked up to the massive doors of the High Council Chamber and opened them. He seemed to have no really thinking but there was a sadness beyond that chamber doors and he wanted to see what it was. When he opened the door her saw that of the Grandmaster. He quickly smiled gentle at her as he could feel and almost understand why she seemed to be in a troubled and worried mood. He was one of the youngest jedi to hold his rank, so alot of this he had yet to learn, but he was skilled in talking with other and getting to know them.

"Master Nimbus is there something troubling you..?" he asked as he walked fully into the chamber and looked at all the empty seats within all the other masters gone on missions from battle to diplomatic. "You seem as if you are trying to hide it and that is not healthy my master..." he said as he seemed to smile.

He didn't wear natural jedi clothing they just didn't fit him, so he wore his peoples traditional battle armor and clothing. His massive wings draped over his shoulders and his Lightsaber Pike was one his back. He was a dragon like being that scales and even horns. He seemed scary at first, but his eyes seemed to show nothing but a gentle and understanding soul. His name was Marcus Rin. The youngest jedi to reach the rank of High Master. He is a genius in the temple and his skills rivals that of even some oldest of masters.

Marcus walked over to the window and stood next to the master and looked out the window. He seemed to looked out of the corner of his eye at Master Nimbus troubled and gentle looking eyes. "If you wish I can stand in for you. You seem to be missing many things by being a bird within a massive and isolating cage..." he said as he was now looking out the window. "You've lived longer than I have so I'm not surprised that you have been her longer than I have..." he said seeing if that was spark her interest at all. It would be a hard thing to do, but Marcus is more than willing to do so if it means seeing Nimbus happy.

It was none other than one of her most beloved students from the past, Marcus Rin, that decided that he would embark into the Council Meeting center to sense trouble in Master Nimbus' aura. She was, after all, still female, so hiding her emotions were much more difficult than one would seem to be. Usually, she was calm and smiling gently at all of her friends, but today, not only did she feel bogged down because she was unable to attend any missions, but, she feels as though a few worlds are getting out of hand, and whatever mission it would be, big or small, she would take it head on and complete it. Anything to help her further in her goal for peace, just like any Grand Master would wish.
"Master Rin, indeed, I am dissatisfied, but I will not hide it." She spoke softly, and her voice resonated calmly, but not so powerful as to have a small echo behind it; just calm and resonating. "You, of most beings, should no that flying beasts wish to fly, but must be contained in order to make the world at peace. So here I lie with a duty at hand." She gazed out the windows perplexed at the sight of a car crash, gazing at the police that arrived immediately.
"You have no missions you need to tend to, young Marcus?" Master Nimbus asked softly, turning her head towards the large dragon, smiling inside to herself. he has grown much larger from the last time she had encounter him. Even if it was just last week, a mission make the Jedi grow larger and stronger than his last mission. Since he was a child, he and his good friend, he was just as calm and kind hearted. It was always a joy to Nimbus to see such a brave heart grow up to be this mature and beautiful in his soul.

She turned to him, her hands tucked inside of her brown sleeves, her glossy eyes looking into Marcus Rin's golden eyes. "If not, young Marcus, then please stroll with me, for I wish to make my mind at peace once more." Turning towards the door, Nimbus, walked smoothly, her aura now becoming very complicated to understand, specifically for Marcus because he had read her aura perfectly, she she changed it on purpose so that he would have to search for her problem once more. Every chance she got, she tested the strength all of her Jedi, after all, they were all her friends, and like the Human say, 'A little challenge to your friends never hurts anyone,' which was wise, but foolish, and that was what the human's were all about, and she respected them, very much so, just like every species besides her own. She would not bow to her own species, once more, another feeling she kept very strategically away from everyone.

Marcus smiled as the Grandmaster spoke to him. She was indeed correct, he had no mission and his Council of Insights had just finshed their meeting as agreed to send the Jedi Knight Neo Ti Rhea to the battle on Hoth. "Indeed you are correct master, I have have no mission, my Council of Insights sent my friend Jedi Knight Neo to a battle that his erupted on Hoth..." he said as he than sighed. "I just hope we made the right choice, Neo is...well a very big risk taker..." Marcus said as he seemed to be remembering a conflict in which Neo had caused lost of an ally to the Republic because of his ways.

But Marcus quickly put that worry out of his head. Having warned Neo that failing that mission and getting residence involved will result in him facing the High Council. He looked at the Grandmaster as she moved away from the window, he presence always one great to have but at the moment rather fuzz if you can say. "Why not, unless Knight Neo Ti Rhea request reinforcements I can stroll with you as long as you like..." he said as he turned his tail seemed to be rather active more that usual. You could tell he was worried about Neo and his mission.

As Marcus followed the master he noticed a change in her. She seemed to have another worry but he could not yet pin-point it. "...." he smiled and thought it would be better to follow and talk to her to gain information than stare and wonder about it. Besides this was the most interaction the two have had personally since he became a High Master, the Council of Insight was formed, and he was placed upon the High Council with her. All of which are very professional settings.

Marcus moved infront of Nimbus and opened the door for her. He seemed to have well skilled manners too. "After you and where too?" he stated and asked with a very calm, relaxed, and gentle composure.

Much kindness came from the younger Jedi. It was much appreciated for the old. However, she didn't want to be considered old. Her looked did not even show a wrinkle on her face. If you took first glance at her, which most Jedi loved to do, then you would think she was the same age themselves, or slightly older. However, when looked into her aura, it was deep, Much deeper than any other aura seen after Master Yoda. But most didn't look at that, they just took the outside of her, and that was where they needed to be trained in. As for Marcus's case, she had known this young Dragon since he was a young infant given to them by his parents. One thing about Master Nimbus, she remember's a name and face very clearly, so when it comes time to recruitment time, she memorizes every name that she encounters. In her many years of living, there has not been a signal name that she has forgotten, nor the face to. This included Marcus's best friend, who she also knew very well for his services with his mother, Young Neo. She remembered something about the young man going on a mission, but she was only briefed about it and that was all. She hoped for his safety back home.

When Marcus opened the door for her, she bowed slightly, and then walked through the door, looking forward, stopping at the familiar she often passed, and every time it caught her attention. Many young Jedi training in the outside Battle ground. Some master's took note of her presence and bowed, but some could not sense that far and were ignorant. She also bowed to the masters that were far away, smiling softly, then continued walking. "Where would you like to go? What is the most relaxing place for you, Young Marcus?" Master Nimbus smiled softly, looking back at the young master, her eyes glossy and calm. Now thinking about the topic, she realized that the two of them didn't seem to interact very much, mostly because she had been told that interacting with the young student's and masters was being slowly taken away from her so that her influence would interfere with their ability to learn, but The grand master had flatly objected to that excuse of an "idea", for she was the representative for all of the Jedi, and she would be the teacher for all, and she would love all, so she refused their orders. She would not be reduced nothing but an icon for the Jedi. That was certain, but for now, that wasn't on the top of her mind, right now, she was thinking of Marcus, putting her full attention into him, like she would do for everyone, for every word meant something to that person, and if it was important to them, it was important to her. "I will follow you." her voice chimed softly, her small lips making a soothing smile.

Marcus followed her out and saw that many passing by the young and old bowed to her. Many youngling done with classes ran through the halls with toys and a few knights and caretakers chased them to get them under control. This was indeed a different temple than when Master Yoda or Luke Skywalker once had. He than out the thought of Neo in the back of his mind.

"Well, why not visit the mess hall..." he said with a smile on his face. I haven't eaten due to the High Council and Council of Insights complete stand still..." he said meaning the fact that these two councils are at a divided situations of diplomacy and the battles that are sparking another war.

Once again, she had arrived back at the center of the attention of the whole Jedi temple, the room filled with used gossip, arguments, and moved hearts. And years, many...many years have been shared in this room. The force of past Grand Masters and High Council members who once sat in those same exact seats. Nimbus entered slowly, her hand tracing over the wall as she entered, feeling the cold metal against her scaled fingertips. Memories flashed through her head like painful daggers grazing her cheeks, letting the blood pour out slowly down her body and into the cracks of the floors, following the patterns that the floor so uniquely makes. They hurt terribly, and Nimbus had nothing to help her coop with it, she just lived on, believing that each day will bring kind hearts, a soul full of life, hope, and her bright future of peace. Her days of youth, of training for this moment in time, was all because of fate working through her body. She believed that the force had to bring her here, for she was needed, but she never thought so until so many began to look to her for guidance. This position was of indeed, strong importance, and one couldn't be cocky, blunt, nor forceful with the situation. You had to be calm, take easy steps, and let the smile of the suns sweep you in the right direction. If it lead you to the front lines, then that is where you must be the strongest, for the light will vanish from your sights at that crucial time, and you must make your own light. Nimbus just was full of saying, and some of them didn't seem to make sense to anyone around her, and sometimes she mixed up the sayings, creating something new, and sometimes, that just worked, like fitting puzzle pieces together or a key to a lock. Was she the lock to the Republic, the one that held all of the knowledge, secrets, and new openings? Probably. Was she the lock hole which you needed to have the right key in order to figure her knowledge out. Possibly. Would she open up mentally? To spare you the pain of thousands of memories, no. 534 years was too much for one child to handle. And as she thought on it, walking to the window, placing her palm and three fingers against the glass, she realized how much this world has changed. She observed it this morning, but everything has changed so rapidly. The buildings grew taller, much more intimidating, and the cars became faster, more agile. Everything seemed to going by her in seconds. Time...time, that was all she could think of when she was in this room, is time, and when she was a child, how things used to be different... the time of when she was alive for the war. Anger rose, fingers pointed at one another, and the golden suns were not there for a very long time.

Nimbus slowly drew away from the glass, her eyes calm, soft. She knew what had to be done about the current issue, what should be done... but this would not be an easy decision to make on her own. She took a sat in her chair, crossing her legs swiftly, closing her eyes and letting the thoughts swarm her, letting the force increase around her, taking in all of the laughter, the hard training, and love that was being shared outside of that metal door of judgement. This was the place of peace, protection, and warmth. This place so be the haven for every lost being. A place you could place your full trust in, where no one would criticize who you are, where you are from, or why you were born the way you are. It is a place of protection, and the Senate has always brought distrust into this building, a fear of the Jedi becoming unjust, becoming unfaithful to their Republic, the same Republic that they have been with since the dawn of the first blueprints of the Jedi Temple. It was too late to convince the Senate that they would not even think of going against them, and now, all they could do is sit back, and continue to do what they have done since they beginning: create Peace, give hope to the Galaxy, and make a home for the universe in the Jedi Republic. Nimbus' resolve was true, slowly opening her eyes back up from the thought she knew she would have came to. They would think nothing of this, and continue to do what the Jedi were taught to do. She gazed at the metal door once again, her body in a state of relaxation, but very alert of the her whereabouts. She just closed her eyes again, possibly hoping she could rest in this room quietly, letting her dreams take her away, if she was lucky enough.

Marcus entered the high council chamber and there seemed to be a heavy feeling the air and in the force. Marcus tail began to work as he too began to become very uncomfortable at the moment. "My such a heavy and eerie feeling..." he said as he walked in complete to the chamber and began sat in his seat next to the Jedi Grandmaster herself. There were members of the high council here in the flesh and those that were one other planets that had a holo-com and had a holo-projection of themselves.

Marcus was a bit concerned when he sudden was called back and seemed to have a bad feeling. It is not common for a meeting and all the council members to be summoned at such haste and at such busy times. "I hope it is not what I fear..." he said as he seemed even more worried now. He was sitting down, but his tail was beginning to move so much from his worries that he began to have.

A crackling sound came from the center of the room as a blue figure appeared there. His face and body was concealed by a large hooded cloak. At first he said nothing, just looked at the image in front of him. The entire council gathered. "Oh, I'm not interrupting anything am I." His tone was cold as his eyes scanned the room with distaste. "All these Masters in one room, yet only one I wanted to speak with." His eyes turned towards Rekoa Nimbus. The man did something strange, he, the Almighty Dark Lord of the Sith, bowed to her. "Master Nimbus." His tone was dramatically different from a moment ago, it was almost caring, but it still had a cold feeling to it. Darth Nero stood up straight to his full height. "Jedi High Council, hear me now for I will say this once. I do not wish for the total annihilation of your Order, and we can stop this was before it even has to begin." He paused in his sentence to hear what they had to say right then.

Everyone was called for an urgent meeting, but something about her calling everyone, who were all mostly out on important missions, had been called, and they all felt it in the air to. Distress, and yet Nimbus tried to ease their worries, but her timing was cut short, and even she was at a lose of thoughts and words....The person that appeared before her, the man that she had not seen in years of one incident recorded to her personally, making her damn herself and cry heavily tears of sorrow, was standing there before her every eyes, in a strong, healthy, and deadly manner. He stared over the whole room that had fallen completely silent. Her body was still, gazing at this man. Only a whisper was uttered from her, a shocking, sad tone. "Lozek...." She gripped the arms of her chair and gazed at him as he bowed to her with a deep respect, with whole council looking at her in shock, just to be answered with shock on her own face. She didn't know what to say, what to do, or how to even deal with this...but his words meant a dread she wished she didn't know. Annihilation. The symbols on his uniform, his cold gaze as it scanned the room. It was written Sith, he was Sith, He was the man that she was hoping she would not want to fight a war with. She had nothing to say. She bowed her head down to actually try and think of what has just happened.

Marcus saw the figure and right away his tail and wings flinched a bit. The pupils in his eyes right away narrowed and his beast like instincts seemed to detest the appearance of this man. Other council members right away looked at Marcus and motioned for him to calm down that the figure was a holo-com sent from a location that was being blocked and protected from their trackers. "Get to the point when you say avoid this war, to have you even here as a hologram is making me nervous and uneasy..." Marcus said. This tail was now swaying and moving about alot and his eyes were so fixed upon the man that he didn't blink for few long moments.

"Master Nimbus..." Marcus said as he turned his head to her and seemed a bit shocked that she would know such a man like him. Someone that uses the force for anger, greed, pain, and pure war bent on control. It was something that Marcus himself would never think doing and shall never do.

Marcus than saw that Nimbus bowed her head to think for a few moments. He himself took it upon himself to ask the first question. "And why would we want to make agreements with a side that as broken treaties and their words before..?" he asked as the claws dug deep into the arm of his chair. "Besides the obvious facts that many of us know..."

A small sign of displeasure crossed Darth Nero's face. It was more towards the reaction of the rest of the council, rather than that of Master Nimbus'. He turned around to face the dragon-like Jedi Master. As he did that, he removed his hood to show his face, and further prove to Rekoa it really was him. "Because she was the one who taught me while I was a Youngling in this very temple." He turned around to look at all of the masters and to let them get a good look at his face. "It was only the fourth mission I had been on with my master, and when I sent a message to this temple, no one responded. My master died because of you all, and I was tortured for ten years." His voice started to grow cold and angry. He looked at Rekoa. "You may not remember the incident, but she does. She remembers the Padawan Lozek Vaklg." He turned his eyes from Master Nimbus and glared at the rest of the High Masters in the room, stopping with Marcus Rin. "Because I'm not your normal Sith Lord. This isn't my choice, but I have no chance of redemption." While he spoke with them, his flagship entered hyperspace and headed towards Kashyyk.

The grand master heard those hurtful words that he spoke of the past, opening up deep wounds, that were so recent to Nimbus's mind. She tried to hide the tear that ran down her cheek, trying to compose herself. His face has matured. He had became a man long ago. The years have passed on him like decades. Those bags under his eyes didn't belong to a man of 21 years. Yes, ever since his "death" she had counted the years of when he was born, like she tried with all of her younglings. They always wanted someone to remember the simple things, so Nimbus did that for them, celebrating a birthday almost every other week. For this young one, he was a youngling of solitude, very much like she used to be. Silent, stand-offish, not wanted to speak to a soul. She didn't push the young boy too much, and allowed him to have his peace, but he seemed to always follow her by corner, curious as to why she always wore a cloak. One day, he had came up to her, tugging on her cloak, and asked her of it. She smiled gently, unhooking it almost immediately, and what he saw was the beauty of her large wing that looked frail, yet powerful. "These wings must always be covered, because their light is too strong for any being's eyes. The light protects me. As it should with you." She had told him, kneeling to him and smiling kindly. After that, their relationship grew more stronger each time she saw the young boy. The last time she had seen him, boarding a ship with his master, he told her a secret, a secret that she could only smile at. The secret of his name.

Now, as she looked up at the man, his eyes always changing when he glanced at her, she couldn't take the feeling of seeing this young man having become the Sith. But her guilt turned her mind blank. Tortured for ten years.... "It's my fault." She whispered, but then looked up at Lozek, her eyes becoming watery. "It's my fault. Do not blame these innocents. I could have done something, I could have come to the mission, I could have..." She gripped the chair, standing up, her eyes suddenly clear. "If any blame on anyone in the Jedi Republic, it should be put on me. Forgive me." She she actually bowed deeply to Lozek, becoming the shield of shields.

"Don't mind me, I am fine in this cage of an Order. As long as I can be used for good."

Darth Nero turned on his heel and looked at Rekoa. "It wasn't you who I called for. I was told to call for the Battlemaster, but since I was just a Padawan, he choose to ignore me." His tone grew cold as he said that. "Lozek, if I had known the situation I would've answered." The battlemaster looked at Darth Nero with sorrow and pity in his eyes. "Save your apologies. If you hasn't pushed me aside, you would've known and you would've been able to help." That made the battlemaster silent as he thought of his actions. "Master Nimbus, send these fools away. My proposal to prevent the annihilation of your precious order is something I only want you to hear." He kept his gaze on the battlemaster, contemplating on how he would kill the man.
