I'm currently Undeclared and a Sophmore in the University I'm at. I have to declare a major soon >< otherwise I can't get classes for next year. I have been just doing GEs for the past couple of years and I still don't know what to do. crying So I wanted to know what you guys thought! I shall list you the majors I have interest in and if you are majoring in one of these I would definitely interested in what you have to say about it! Like How hard, time consuming, fun, interesting it is. What classes do you have to take? What do you learn and what not :3 Also if anyone has any good online major/career placement tests that would be good and helpful too! ^^ As well as any other tips on finding a major!

what I quickly found out is that some majors sound good, but aren't really as good as they sound. so the question is what do you REALLY want to do and which major and/or minor will allow you to do that or at least give you options after college?
right now, I'm a junior Professional English major and I'm pursuing minors in Chinese, French, and Museum Studies. With these, I have my options of what I want to do after I graduate.
You might want to talk to people in the majors you are considering and ask them what careers they are going into after college

What you can do with a sociology degree, you can do with history/English/etc degrees. Of course you could always pursue higher education and become a sociologist. If you like research and social issues, and want to go more in-depth with that, sociology might be for you. But it's a lot of essay writing, and you really have to understand the concepts and be able to express yourself well. And don't go looking for evidence to support your conclusions...look at evidence then draw conclusions. I had classmates who did the former and they just came off looking very bigoted.
