I haven't played wow in a while but I can try to help you. Are you dying during quests or dungeons or both?

Well, that's a bit of a tough one. As a priest, I always had loads of trouble with BGs. Um, just remember-

1) Everyone always blames you for massacres of your team so don't let them get to you.

2) Everyone on the other team will kill you on sight, even if there are other players around. Keep your shield up to prevent this.

3) Hang with the FC. Since priests can't survive on their own in BGs, they've got to hang with either the leader or flag carrier so keep them well healed and well shield...ed.

4) Don't forget to think about yourself. A healer is no good to a team if they're dead so keep yourself shielded at literally ALL times and keep renew on yourself when your shield is down or almost down.

5) If you're with the FC and an enemy comes along, they'll try to kill you first if they can't kill both. So, if you are about to die, cast renew on the FC and psychic scream if you can to get their pet a-runnin'!

6) As for gear, look for the best intellect, spirit and haste ratings. Prioritize in that order.

7) Almost never use battle spells. If you're not a shadow priest, you're a healer!(At least in BG)

Well, it depends on your level, I guess. What is you level? Healing isn't so good these days, I've been told. I believe it has something to do with the new expansion pack but I'm not certain. Anyway, I enjoy Holy priests better. They are much better at healing in my opinion. They're speed boost when shielded is a real life saver for FCs. The guardian angel talent is fabulous also! I tried a disc priest and it wasn't to my liking.

You just need to concern yourself with being out of battle. Make sure you avoid the big fights. Disc priests are for avoiding damage while holy is more healing. So, as long as you stick with the FC, you should be fine. Or you could reconsider your choice in Disc and go Holy!(Jk)

You need to do the questline that starts with "They took our men!". After that is done, you'll be neutral (or maybe friendly...I don't remember) with them.

Then I have no idea. I'm terribly sorry. I'd be way much help if I played more recently. My advise is to ask your current guild's members.
(Or if another guild member in this guild could try to help you, that would be fine too.)

I'm an a*****e when I pvp on my 85 holy priest. I have my pvp gear but I stack haste and int gems and I wont go anywhere without a pally and shammy your heals are op and the other 2 can keep you from being victim of cc's and pop shadowfiend as often as possible for mana.
