 Sugar walked along the beach picking up seashells and whatnot. It had been such a lovely day, now if only there were more gryphons to enjoy it with. The pink spotted female picked up a seashell. While she picked it up a crab came out and pinched her tail. "Yow!" She ran back and forth looking like an idiot before flying upwards into the sky than slamming down hard to the ground to see if the crab would let go.
Thankfully the crab did let go and left the poor gryphon with a sore tail. "Well...maybe my day isn't too good after all." She sighed sadly while walking over to the water to cool down a bit. Normally she didn't swim but maybe water would relieve the soreness on her tail.

Kaito ran over the beach, trying to win a race. He wasn't really sure who he was racing against, but he was pretty sure he was winning. He stopped and turned around to see who was behind him, but nobody was. It didn't matter to him though, it was fun to run over the sand. And it probably had been a race against his own tail again.
He noticed a gryphon walking towards the water. It was a female, he realised.
"Hmm~ Should I or should I not greet her. Decisions decisions~" He hummed to himself, his tail moving over the sand. If he would greet her, how? Pouncing? Or perhaps just being calm and going all nice to meet you and stuff. Not the last one, he thought. That was boring. For now, he'd just have to wait a moment and see what kind of person she was. Like a spy! He thought as he lied down on the sand.

Sugar eventually came out of the water and shook herself off like a dog. "Definitely don't want to disturb anymore crabs," She tended to talk to herself a lot to since most of her life was lonely. The pink spotted gryphon looked all around the beach wondering what next to amuse herself with before spotting a male gryphon. She cocked her head to the side to look at him. She wondered why he was hiding from her before she looked around her. "Is there an enemy near me?" She ran back and forth panicked before running over and hiding right next to him. "Where is it?"

Kaito was pretending to be a spy when suddenly the female started running around like crazy. What's going on, he wondered, is there something bad nearby? He looked around him, but couldn't find anything. then he noticed she was hiding next to him, and asked him something. Where was what? So there really was something, he realised. "A monster?" he asked, wondering what it could have been that would scare her this much. He jumped up, prepared for anything that would come at him. He'd show that monster, or whatever it was!

Sugar stopped for a moment before chilling down. "Oh...I mean...I'm sorry the way you were hiding I thought you were scared of something." She giggled a bit nervously before looking back to the area she was at. "I'm uh...sorry." She looked down towards the ground then back up with a half smile. "I'm sugar, pleasure to meet ya!"

"I thought the same thing when you started running" Kaito laughed as he lied down again. he was slightly disappointed that there was no monster, because he'd really wanted to see one. He wondered if he should tell her he was spying on her. No way, so embarassing, he thought. If his face wasn't normally red, he'd probably be blushing like crazy if he told her something like that. And he really didn't usually spy on people... Not that often anyway. He mostly just pounced them or tackled them. "Sugar? Sounds yummy~" He said, looking at her, "My name's Kaito."

Sugar laughed a bit as well. "I see...well I'm sorry I startled you." It definitely was good to meet another gryphon finally. She hadn't had any form of socialization and this one did not seem to mind that much. "Kaito? Sounds like a neat name. Does it mean anything in particular?"

Kaito looked at the sky, thinking for a moment. "Maybe, maybe not, I don't know," he said. He'd never really bothered to think about his name. There always was some kind of exploring to do, so he'd never taken the time to think about it. "I think we both startled each other. Pretty strange, don't you think?" He asked, absently poking a crab with one of his paws.

Sugar nodded her head. "Indeed, although its great to finally see another gryphon besides randomly wandering all over the place with only myself as company. It gets kind of boring. You been in the area for quite a while?"

"Not really. I've been here, and there, and everywhere fun!" Kaito laughed, "I was with someone else in a race just now, but I lost sight of him." He looked around if he could see the other gryphon, but he wasn't here yet.
"And what about you? Have you been around here for a long time? Or are you also travelling?" He jumped up, all the lying down was starting to make his limbs rust, he was sure of it!

Sugar giggled a bit. "That's interesting. I guess you won the race then. You must be pretty fast." She looked behind him for a moment as well. "Well I've been around, but mainly traveling and roaming alone. I was hoping to meet other gryphons instead of having talks with creatures that don't talk."

"Hmm~ How do you talk with creatures that don't talk?" Kaito asked interested. He knew very well that it was possible to go somewhere without meeting anyone for a long time. "Sounds like a great talent to have!" His tail swooshed over the sand, accidently spraying Sugar with sand as well. "Eehhh sorry!" He said, jumping away, "Didn't even notice it. I swear, my tail has a mind of its own!"

Sugar cocked her head to the side a bit confused. "Well they don't talk the way you and I do, but by watching their body language sometimes you can make out what they are saying." Sugar flinched a bit as she was sprayed. She smirked for a bit. "Oh yeah?" She did the same thing, but was meaning it in a playful way.

"Hmmm~ I'll have to try that someday" Kaito laughed. He flinched when she suddenly sprayed sand over him too. Ohh~ You're not getting away with it! He thought, as he pounced her. "Yep, my tail really has a mind of its own. But it's fun, I'm never lonely." He said, as he tickled her with his tail. Many griffons thought he was crazy, but he really wasn't, as far as he was concerned.

Sugar squeaked as he pounced her totally not expecting it. "I see..." She giggled a bit. "Well maybe your tail just doesn't have enough company." Sugar tried to use her tail to try to stop the tickling, but it wasn't working.
