A large deck with massive reinforced windows to view out into the stars and beyond.

Chione Halfbright

The large open windows let the star light flow in, the many thousands of stars twinkling in ocean of dark blackness that stretched across the view. Just breaking the edge of view was a purple colored sphere that was making a slow increase in its size with each passing moment. A swirl of colors seemed to engulf the planet as a pair of red eyes seemed to gaze into it, the lucid orbs not really focusing on the globe so much as peering at its disruptive surface. With a blink and a shake of her head Chione took a long stretch, her arms stretching up high and pulling her jacket tighter against her curvy body. "Darn thing.." she grumbled as the material squeezed against her for a moment before her arms came back down and it slackened just slightly. She muttered again but it was something unintelligible as she rotated her shoulders and turned her body to crack her back. To her it had been much to long since she was sitting in the pilot seat and they had luckly avoided any trouble en route to this new planet.

She turned and paced the length of the large viewing window as she thought about how it would feel to go out for a flight even if there would only be a small chance that she would be allowed to go down to the planet. The scout and observation ships had already been scrambled and sensors were scanning the planet well ahead of the ship so hopefully it wouldn't be to long before they would get the green light and she could go down with the Saint's. She hadn't seen the Saint's outside of their armor or at the very least she hadn't been one to go to their part of the ship. It was quite possible she had actually met one without knowing as she rarely payed attention to the new broadcasts and kept to the civilian part of the ship when she wasn't in training or out on missions. To her they were her saviors and they would stay that way for now, the ones who had given her a second chance to get back at the Amn'reth and pay them back for all they had done.

With her little introspective finished and her thoughts being let loose from her mind, she started to walk out of the observation deck and get into one of the elevators leading to the main area. The hallways had people coming and going in their daily lives and within the living and recreation areas the roof simulated an evening sky above. Its small twinkles were not as grand as the ones seen in the observation deck but it gave a small comfort to those living there. She headed down a long hallway as her mind seemed to drift back to her earlier question, would she be allowed to head down or would this be a dead world that was to late for anything.

With those thoughts she left the main observation area and entered the exterior unit as she waited for the elevator to head to the hangar since from there she could quickly get aboard her ship and hopefully take off. The elevator arrived as the doors slid open and she stepped in, clicking her finger against the button for the hangar's floor. Her anxiety and heartbeat were steadily rising as the doors shut and she headed on her way down to the hangar.
