Tauno walked down the sidewalk as the sun started to sink and the lampposts began to flicker on. In one hand she carried a plastic bag containing her sherbet and strawberries. In the other, she was scrolling through the songs on her iPod. She loved her chunky black headphones; they were more comfy and durable than those stupid ear buds. As she listened to her favorite Coldplay song, she was careful to not sing along, in case somebody heard her. She didn't need people to go around finding out her secret identity. By the end of the song, she had reached her destination. She plodded into the park and among the trees until she saw a tall, strong oak tree. Tauno gripped the handles of the plastic bag between her jaws and quickly scurried her way up the trunk of the oak. Two branches parallel to each other made a perfect chair for the teenager as she sat down. She opened her bag and pulled out her treats. The strawberries' tops were bitten off one by one and the fruit was tossed into the orange sherbet. Since it had mostly melted by the time she got to her spot, it was like drinking a smoothie. "Gotta love solitude," Tauno murmured to herself.

Jason had been sitting in the park for a while, at the base of a tree that he had just recently found to be surprisingly comfortable to sit. He was enjoying some boston and attempting to draw a tree across the park. He looked down to his sketch pad and did a little bit of shading. When he looked up he saw a girl with a sack and headphones walk to the base of the tree he was drawing. She put the sack in her mouth and climbed up the side of the tree. He never found it easy to climb a tree, but this girl made it seem easy. He hoped that she would sit down facing the other way so he could draw her sitting in the tree. That would complete the drawing. But, she didn't. It was fairly dark in the little nook he was sitting and he was wearing dark clothes so the chances of her seeing him were slim. But there was still a chance. He decided to risk looking like a creeper, and continued drawing her in the tree.

Tauno folded her legs indian style so that she could wedge the cardboard container in the bowl they made. From behind her ear, she drew her weapon of choice: a black sharpie. She rolled up her left sleeve and pulled the cap off of her marker with her mouth. Bracing her elbow against her thigh, she started scratching down lyrics on her wrist and down her forearm. "Going crazy, crazy, figuring it out..." she muttered to herself. She was careful to be quiet so that unless somebody was right next to her, nobody would hear. Whenever she got stuck, she would twirl the marker between her fingers. One such time, it fell. "Oh sheep." Tauno watched it bounce between branches and then drop to the ground. She frowned, huffed a sigh, and carefully picked her way down. Unfortunately, she was not careful enough and her foot slipped, sending her plummeting to the ground after getting knocked by the branches on her way down. "Fff- Auhhh. That's one way of getting down. Not that I'd like to do it again anytime soon, thank you very much. Where the hag did that stupid thing go..." Tauno muttered to herself as she searched the grass.

As he was sitting there drawing her while she was in the tree, he saw her pull out a marker and start scribbling on her arm. He had very good eyesight. He wouldn't have been able to tell otherwise. It seemed like she dropped the marker, that would explain why she went tumbling down out of the tree, getting hit with branches on her way down. He wondered if she was alright. He took his headphones out of his ears and wrapped them around his IPod, sticking it in his pocket. He slid his drawing pencil and eraser into his pocket. At this point he stood up and looked back to her. She was recovering from her fall and searching around on the ground for the marker she had dropped. He closed his sketch book with his finger marking the page he was drawing on, and walked towards her to check if she was alright.

Tauno grinned when she finally felt her marker and her fingers closed around it. She stood up triumphantly and turned to scramble back into her tree, when she saw Jason walking towards her. Quickly, she put on her bland mask and smiled politely. "Sorry, did I disturb you? Won't happen again." What she really wanted to do was scream that she was a ninja and throw her marker at his head, but that would attract attention. ...Damn.

"Oh no, you in no way disturbed me. I was sitting all the way over there." He pointed to where he was sitting. "I actually came over to see if you were ok. Its hard to fall from a tree and not get hurt. And also, i was wondering that if you were planning on going back up into that tree if you minded me drawing you. It seems to go just right with the drawing im working on." 'I doubt that she will let me draw her, no girl ever does.' He thought to himself.

Tauno shrugged, a bit more relaxed now that she knew he wasn't going to yell at her for whatever reason. Its happened before and she does not like it in the least. "I'm fine, thanks. As for the drawing, I don't see why not, as long as you aren't a creeper and I get to see all of the sketches you have on you afterwards." She pointed to Jason's sketch book. It was a fair price as far as she could tell and it didn't inconvinence her in the least; she was, after all, going up there anyway.

He thought it was a fair price. "Im no creeper." He stated, laughing slightly under his breath. "And as soon as im done ill be sure to show you all my sketch's." He turned to walk away. Then he turned back around, stuck his hand out, and said. "My name is jason." he wasn't sure that if she would take his hand or not and shake it.

Tauno had started climbing up the tree again when Jason turned back around. When he stuck out his hand, she hoisted herself up to a branch and hung from her knees on it. She casually shook his hand while hanging upside down. "Nice to meet you, Jason. I'm Tauno. Can I call you Jay? I have this thing about nicknames."

He hadn't realized she was climbing the tree until she took his hand upside down. "Well hello there Tauno. You can call me Jay if you like. I have no problem with a nickname, even though I've never had one. I think I'll stick to calling you Tauno for now. But im sure a nickname will creep up at one point or another." He smiled slightly. "I think i will head back over to my comfy spot i found and get back to drawing. Im almost finished, i just have a bit of shading left and to finish you, up in the tree." He turned around and headed back down to the spot at the base of the tree.

"Alrighty then. I'll go back to my tree." Tauno swung herself upside right and grabbed the branch she was hanging from, then pulled herself into a sitting position. Carefully, she crawled back to her seat and awkwardly sat. This time as she wrote, she kept a careful hold on her pen and didn't dare to even mouth her words.

Jason made his way back to his seat and sat back down in the little nook he found to be so comfortable. He drew the girl that sat in the tree, carefully, and slowly. Then he slowly shaded her as to get it just right, he didn't want his drawings to look bad when he showed them to her. To do her un-justice. 'I wonder what she is writing up there.' He thought to himself. He soon finished and stood, brushing his backside off because a few leaves and other assorted inanimate objects had attached themselves to his butt. He walked toward's the tree Tauno sat in and yelled up to her. "Hey, I have finished my drawing if you would like to come down and see it!"
