Sometime right after the 9 corps split up (except for green and blue) and the universal war started the red lantern corps were fighting the black lantern corps in the United states. Overall only a few places survived and everything between Colorado and Pennsylvania is a silent wasteland. But about every 250 miles, is a little settlement of humans that survived. And also spread out is a couple different lantern camps, either trying to destroy the area more wiping out everything, save the area, or trying to just take out the other lanterns in the area, and trying to take it over for their own needs.
