At an old gate a young girl with long brown hair and brown eyes stood holding a letter in her hand. She crumpled slightly as she stood waiting for the gate in front of her to open. Today, if she was lucky, she'd return to the land of the living.

An eerie wind blew through and nearly caused her light yellow and red beret to fall off her head. Luckily she caught it in her other hand before it dropped down over her bangs and set it back upright. She was glad to be wearing her plum and purple shawl over her pink and purple sleeved dress. With this, and her dark red sash wrapped above the hem of her plum pants she was sure she was quite warm despite the chilling air the Underworld often had passing through it.

She looked down at the crumpled letter in her hand and it read, "This is one free pass for Lucinda Valerie to the land of the living. She is to be under the observation of the Spirit Police and the next demon she can hopefully get into contact with. Lucinda is under special care from our division due to the missing demon Richan and the fact that her death and the death of many other spirits may not be something that has been justified. Until her name is cleared Lucinda will be allowed to stay in the living world.

For now all Lucinda could do was wait though. She had a free pass, for now, even if it was temporary, yet her apparent death she'd had that brought her to the Underworld seemed pretty air tight. She knew she had not died of her own free will and so she made it a point to try and find out who killed her and why.
