Chapter 0: The Consecrated Ones

Purpose. Meaning. Reason. Lesson.
We look for these things in life very often, and I can tell you from experience that there’s only one place you can find it.
I always felt like I needed to be better than I was to be accepted. I wasn’t good enough for my classmates. I wasn’t good enough for my teachers. I wasn’t good enough for my brother. I knew that I, as myself, was worthless.
I knew about Jesus. I went to a private school. I did the “Christian thing,” but I never really had a relationship with Him. I knew that He was just like everyone else; He just wanted me to change.
So that was how I lived. That was until I went to a camp in New Braunfels, Texas called T Bar M Sports Camp.
First day of worship was intense, for me at least. I was crying at the first song. The line in the song the song that stood out to me ran like this. “We’ve been stamped by God accepted. We are His, approved forever.” I had never heard that I was “stamped,” “accepted,” or “approved” by God. Even the photographers got a good few seconds of me bawling my eyes out while trying to clap along to the beat.
Now, five years later, I can tell you that my life’s been radically changed. I’m running my own ministry in high school and I’m planning to go into full-time ministry in a no-holds-barred, all-out battle to bring the Word, Light, and Love of Christ to those who need it.
So what’s the point of this whole life story of mine? To provide an example of how God has radical plans for even those who seem so far from God. There’s no one who’s too far gone. There’s no one beyond redemption. So brothers and sisters, reach out to any and all that you see. To those without Christ, or those who think they cannot be saved, rejoice. There is hope for all.
