Hey metal heads! pirate

I've posted this for one reason... That reason is to end your HUNT and find what your missing. I over-listen to bands and become tired of the same music. This happens to everyone sadly and indefinitely. A band you used to love can become a band you hate, so its better to search for more, and revisit it later. There are a limited number of metal band's in the world that appeal to my palate and my lust for heavy tunes because of my preference. Everyone developes their own desired taste. Once you get used to a sound, you usually stick to it. There are so many different metal types and labels that I don't pay attention to them anymore. I do however pay attention to the groove and the mood. It's not just about screaming as some claim it is. Displays of true skill drive our constant hunt for bands that will satisfy our tastes. There are always bands that you haven't been introduced to. This thread is to help us find the endless jams we crave. In order to find what we like, we usually base it off of our favorite bands. Others can help you find music similar to what you enjoy most by suggesting tunes. This will increase your never-ending library of favorites.

Narrow your search by making a preferred list of bands & genres
People will take notice to the genres and styles you love

My example: I put these band's in order from favorite to least favorite as best as I could. Most of these bands are similar in style but they are all different. The first 11 band's are my favorite styles of metal. I've also listed a good song I correlate with the band. The rest of the bands are ones I thoroughly enjoy. I'm from America, so most the songs you see on my list reflect that. But I'm open to all music as should you! Lets help each other find what we are truly looking for.

Absolute Favs
Sylosis - Reflections through fire
Parkway Drive - Deliver me
Lamb of God - Broken hands
Devildriver - ******** That Remains - It dwells in me
Bleed the Sky - Minion
Attila - Soda in the water cup
Static-X - Bled for days
August Burns Red - Composure
Silent Civilian - Funeral
Chimaira - Try to survive

Other Favs
Paradise Lost, Emmure, Coal Chamber, Bring Me The Horizon, Rammstein, LaZarus A.D., Mastodon, Divine Heresy, Opeth, The Word Alive, Gojira, Threat Signal, Cavalera Cospiracy, Disturbed, Hatebreed, Korn, Slipknot, Rise Against, Five Finger Death Punch, Arkaea, Miss May I, Machine Head, Rage Against The Machine

Posting a list of your favorite bands does many things, such as:

-Help others get to know what you love
-Makes it easier for people to suggest music that matches your taste
-Somebody might enjoy most of your bands, and use your list as a reference when they wanna find similar material
-Expose people to bands they've needed to hear but never heard of
-Somebody may be completely tired of the same stuff they've listened to and use your list a new path for discovery

I'll post everyone's favorite bands as a permanent post on the front page right below this post for everyone to see as long as you let me know.

*Some bands do suck really bad... But keep in mind its always a matter of opinion. You don't know any better than your grandma. If you don't like a band you can disagree, but that doesn't mean argue about it.*

Wow, Clockhammer is from nashville, tennessee. I used to live in tennessee. And they are around the early 90s.

They're one of the founding nu-metal bands, alongside Faith No More and The God Machine.
Starkweather is better to me.. I couldn't find many clockhamer songs, but I'm attracted to starks style. Thanks

All of you need to check out As Sick As Us

The bands was started by 2 brothers and one of their first gigs was 'The Boiler Room' in asheville tennessee near where I lived. I heard them from a 5 song cd my buddy patrick gave me. Good songs to check out are Elizabeth Stride, and Whats Thought To Be Dead.
They know how to use their instruments, give them a chance.
