These pets are hunters themselves -- hunters who try to avoid your attempts to catch them! Some are easier than others, and it's up to you to decide if you want to chase after the difficult prey or stick with those a little easier to catch.
At the start of this game, Abbacus will roll one die for each pet. In order to win that pet, you must roll the same die as her and match her number.
You can roll as many times as you like, and each time you roll, you can roll for whichever pet; which means if you roll and fail for the caiman a few times, you can then change your mind and switch to the eaglehound -- if it's still around. And if it's not, you can always switch back. However, if you win a pet you must stop rolling.
You can only win one pet.
You can only win one pet -- repeated for emphasis, as there has been confusion regarding this rule in the past.
The dice rolled will be as follow:
roll 1 4-sided die for the owlcat
roll 1 6-sided die for the ramcat
roll 1 8-sided die for the eaglehound
roll 1 10-sided die for the lynx
roll 1 12-sided die for the cheetah
roll 1 20-sided die for the boar
roll 1 100-sided die for the caiman [please note: if this goes on forever, Abbacus will roll more d100s to provide more 'winning numbers']
And post the following when you roll, to clarify your actions:
PETNAME ROLL!
where PETNAME corresponds to the name of the pet you're rolling for.
