Bio:
Rin is a transfer from Kyoto, having moved to Mahora a few years after finishing her general education. Unsure of her career path, she works at Mahora as a student-age teacher's assistant for really any kind of class. This year it happens to be gym class, though she doesn't seem to mind, and despite her personality is good with the jobs given to her and can work fairly well with others if she's not provoked. She wasn't born in Kyoto, though raised there, although she doesn't speak a lot of her background except that she's actually a mix of Japanese and Native American, not a common ethnic combination. But that oddity happens to fit her odd mix of actual demon breed as well.
Rin Harumi was born from her Painted Dog breed demon mother and her maned wolf father, making her a mixed mutt offspring. It could have contributed to the later harassment she received from the demon half of society, being a mutt amongst canine demons, and a strange looking one at that thanks to her unusual and rare mix of breed. However accepting her birth parents can be, there was nothing to be done about what the general public and the demon society thought of her. When she went out into public and attended school even, among the things she put up with, were bullies and judgmental voices. If there was one thing that she found that she couldn't take despite how hard she tried, it was being berated and teased, by both half demons that knew what she was, and humans who took advantage of seeing an already bullied and mentally beat girl.
Rin took escape routes from reality to try and get away from it, as well as seek help, and in the end, ended up without adequate help to stop it. Somewhere in her middle school years, she dropped out of school and took up home-schooling and private tutoring instead, isolating herself from the people who hurt her constantly. Following years of this hasn't completely drained her social ability, however, it has taken a heavy toll on it. In her time away from others is when she developed her harsher outer personality, really digging deeper into her natural feelings on the matter by reacting negatively, which has now given her an appearance and attitude that on sight probably makes her look more like someone who shouldn't approach.
She re-enrolled soon enough, finishing the remainder of her general required education before finally graduating. She finished the remainder of her education without the same degree of social interaction as before, but she was generally left alone. Without an idea of where she wanted to go from there, not having given it much thought other than when in secret working on the drawing and story-writing she enjoyed so much when she needed an escape from the world like before, she got her parents to contact some relatives and track them down for ideas of where and how to move on and see a few more things than before. And so that's how she ended up where her supposed distant cousin is, Darien ad Mortem, in Mahora, and taking up an assistant teaching job.

Rin is like her mixed nature, and aggressive. Some peers would agree that she has the ability of an angry canine, and if upset can verbally berate you until you submit to her point. Others who notice it, would say that she carries the alpha nature of her species, mostly stemming from her painted dog descent, so she's the type to not let anyone get the better of her or force her to submit. This can cause trouble, but for the most part, Rin doesn't go around looking for trouble. She can be friendly, and much nicer, but only if she knows you for the most part, and likes you, and you're persistent enough to get past her frustrating exterior attitude.
It's speculated her attitude immediately does not only come from her natural behavior, but also her background, having been bullied when she was much younger, to the point of having to drop school and stick to home-schooling. At this point, she's no longer willing to make it even look like anything can beat her. She has a tough exterior, but the scarring from her past is still there. She tends to panic and become irrationally aggressive, violent, or frightened when pushed or physically threatened (to the point where she falls to 'strike first ask questions after'), and similar goes for when she's insulted or put down. She may not show it on the outside, but is extremely susceptible to emotional reaction to reminders of her life.

Fur Description: Her primary color is a reddish color. Because of her painted dog background, there are painted like designs of spots on her fur in various places that are outlined with thick black, and have white fur in the middle of a few of the circles. One spot on her back between her shoulders extends out into a black line that goes down her face and muzzle, fading into a nearly black-red snout. The tip of her tail is snow white, as well as her four legs, starting at the mid-leg joints and down to the ankles just before her paw, making a legwarmer pattern appearance. She also has a small white tuft of fur on her chest. Her ears are unlike normal wolf ears, however her mix of species makes the tips a bit more rounded than regular wolf ears. Her teeth are sharper and larger than that of a normal dog or wolf's, as well as her bite strength, making her dangerous to fight fang to fang, in either animal or human form (due to have a pair of very noticeably sharp canines in her human form). Because of her maned wolf descent, her fur is longer around the back of her legs, tufts of long fur extending off the backs of her hind ankles and the back of her two front legs, as well as slightly longer fur length along her back and around her neck. Her legs are just a tiny bit longer than that of a regular wolf as well, but luckily did not inherit the odd odor in her animal form that full maned wolves have. Usually the mane itself, which is colored a darker shade the rest of her red fur, like when a wolf's hackles raise, is raised when she's threatened or aggressive.
Despite her physical appearance, her slower aging compared to humans is the reason why her general education is already finished. She also really just defends herself when needed, she doesn't like to actually fight. That doesn't mean you should take her strength lightly, especially since her bite is actually worse than her bark.
She is also secretly a mangaka. She really hates the idea of other people finding out, but she loves drawing manga and little stories about various things. Despite her frequency of any kind of background romance in her stories, the interest doesn't affect her own romantic interest (she for instance draws a fair amount of shoujo-ai but isn't interested in dating girls herself).
