Pendant City isn't too far from Adell at all. It was founded by a former student of the Academy as a pokemon sanctuary reserve. The pokemon that flourished the most were grass and bu type pokemon. Since then, trainers and tourists have come from all corners of the globe to see the array of colors on the pokemon roaming free and healthy in the protection of the Gym Leader. Originally, It was the gym Leader's ghost types that protected the rims of the (now) city, and still roam freely to keep careful watch; these days, however, the Gym Leader uses beautiful butterfly pokemon to further emphasize on why they should be protected.
The name of the city was coined after one million pendants about the conservation were sold. Most shops here sell a vast amount of pendants and trinkets which fuel funds to the cause. While people here have pokemon live with them and train with them, no one outside the Gym Leader officially owns a pokemon. The citizens are among the most pleasant and friendly; probably from all the bright colors that paint the pokemon and the town. The pokemon aren't afraid of humans at all, and will even lend a hand if they're asked. If ever trainers come in broke or disorientated from being lost in the forest, the locals will put them up for the day for a full day of rest.
Along with the conservation of grass and bug type pokemon, the city's main diet comes from the fruit and berries that grow at an astonishing speed (with the help of pokemon). Each home also has their own vegetable garden to fill in the gaps of their diet.
