You can find all sorts of trinkets and odd goods in the square. Stones, scarves, berries, incense, just to name a few items you can find here. You may also find tutors for your pokemon. The Pendant City tutors specialize in bug type moves. Moves your pokemon normally can't learn on its own can be taught by the move tutors' training and expertise. It's quicker than trying it for yourself to teach them. Over fifty percent of all purchases, and one-hundred percent of all donations go right into caring for the pokemon in the conservation.

Location: ~ Pendant City ~ Sara had separated from her friends and was now on her own wandering around town aimlessly. Venonat was looking around at everything in the city. He was interested in this town for some odd reason. It wasn't until Sara looked down that she noticed Venonat wasn't beside her anymore. "Venonat?" she looking around trying to find her purple bug pokemon. Spinning around and around Sara couldn't find him anywhere. Venonat had wandered a little too far off. He'd managed to find himself some shiny trinkets that he just couldn't pull himself away from. "Veno..." (Shiny...) he said cocking his head to the side before bobbing from side to side. The girl selling the trinkets looked down at the bug pokemon. "Hello you seem interested." she said with a smile before kneeling down. "Nat." (Yeah.) he nodded happily which turned into more of a bob. Reaching up the girl grabbed a lucky charm that shimmered in the sun light. "Here you go." she said holding it out to the bug pokemon. "Veno?" (Uh?) Venonat was confused that was evident. "It's for good luck. Don't worry take it it's on the house I'll even donate to the conservation for you." she told him. "Venonat." (Thank you.) he said cheerfully as he took the charm from her. "Venonat!"Venonat finally heard his trainer's call. Turning to look in Sara's direction he then looked back to the trinket girl. "You better get going your trainer sounds worried." The girl replied patting him on the head. "Venonat veno." (Thank you goodbye.) With that Venonat scurried off back to Sara. Sara was beginning to really worry about Venonat. He was supposed to be with her and now he was out in the city alone. Slumping down she felt alone despite still having Stantler with her. Looking at Venonat's pokeball she wondered where he was right now and what he was doing. It was then that she looked up... "Venonat!" (Sara!) Venonat raced over to her and tackled her in a hug. "Venonat..." Sara blinked in surprise. "You had me so worried don't ever do that again." she told him as she hugged him. That's when she noticed the charm he was holding. "Where'd you get that?" Sara asked releasing her hold on him and taking the charm. "Veno~nat." (A nice lady.) he replied. "I supposed you had fun on your little adventure." she said with a smile. Venonat nodded happily... he certainly did. Team: Venonat (M) - Lv. 14, Stella (F) - Lv. 12

"Yo! Sara!" Dune ran up, waving with a wide smile. "Hey, I didn't know you were still hanging around here. Training or just touring the preservation thing?" He gave a big grin. 'A cute and quirky girl I know is hanging around in the same city! Just play it cool, and ask her out on a date. Well, you're broke... Ask her for coffee! You don't drink coffee... Say something dummy!' He started to sweat with a train of thoughts colliding into each other. "So, you wanna grab some coffee?" He blurted out. 'Dang it...'

Location: ~ Pendant City ~ Sara looked up when she heard her name. That voice sounded familiar as it should be. "Dune! Hey!" she said standing up from her spot next to Venonat. The bug pokemon looked over at Dune and swayed from foot to foot in what one could only guess was happiness. "Yeah..." she started to say. 'We've been not doing much at all.' she thought before continuing. "A bit of both actually. Though I did plan on heading out of here to Climate Town." she answered him. When Dune asked her about grabbing a coffee Sara wondered if he even drank coffee. "Well I'm not one for coffee but I could go for a hot chocolate." she answered him. "What about you what brings you back to Pendant City?" Sara asked him curiously. "Win any badges since last time?" Team: Venonat (M) - Lv. 14, Stella (F) - Lv. 12

Dune's surefire smile came back, "Nope! I lost two rematches!" He said, rather bold and proud. "We've been doing some serious training--Entei even evolved! Check him out!" He brought up a pokeball and let out his croconaw. "Pretty cool, right?" He pointed and grinned. "That, and we've learned some pretty cool moves. I was thinking about heading out for Zephyr Town myself for another gym battle, but why don't we talk about our travel plans over that cup of coco?" He smiled, just as big a goof as he was before.
Entei went up to Sara, tugging on her shirt to get her attention. After a long stare, a mischievous grin grew on its face and its blue cheeks tinted pink; as though it knew some big and cheeky secret, it grinned. "H-hey! Entei! What's with that look?"

Location: ~ Pendant City ~ Sara blinked in mild surprise at Dune’s rather proud answer that he lost twice. As he let out Entei Sara knowing from before knew that his pokemon wasn’t really legendary he was just named that way. “That’s amazing Dune.” She said as he went to let Entei out to show her. “Wow you’ve sure gotten bigger than last time Entei.” She told Croconaw with a smile. Before she’d know it he’d be bigger than her. “Venonat.” (Hello again.) Venonat said happy to see an old friend. “Sure sounds good to me.” Sara replied trying to recall what was in Zephyr town… That’s right the water gym. It wasn’t until Entei tugged at her shirt that she looked back down at him. Sara didn’t know what that look was about either but she wasn’t afraid to ask. “Yes, what is it Entei?” she asked kneeling down to eye level with the water type pokemon. Entei kept its dumb grin on, talking in its incoherent language while pointing back at Dune--who now began to look more unsettled by the whole thing and quickly recalled the cheeky pokemon, "Entei, return!" As the pokemon became engulfed in light and brought back to its pokeball, Dune sighed in some relief. "Let's get that coco," He tried to shake off the last scene.
After some walking, and finally finding a small place to serve them, conversation took a detour. "So why you headed for Climate Town? The gym?" He asked, poking at the marshmellows and cream that were floating at the top of his drink. "Eidolon has an okay gym too. The new gym leader is kind of a spaz, but the battles were just as good! You gotta love the gyms here with their crazy rules! I mean, how often do you get to match up round for round or make your own rules to the gym leader, right?" He seemed knowledgeable about that gym in particular...
"My pokegear can show all the gyms and their rules. If we were in a pokemon center, we could probably also see what the last couple of battles looked like. Zephyr Town has a tear stage battle style--single, double, triple! So a trainer has to make sure that all of their pokemon can work well together first! Mastering one style could be a disadvantage--and that's why I gotta challenge that gym! A-after I get a few more pokemon first, but there's plenty of time for that!"

Location: ~ Pendant City ~ “Right,” Sara replied standing up. She didn’t know what Entei was getting at but she knew it had something to do with Dune. Venonat was probably following more so after all at least he could understand the water type. Returning Venonat to his pokeball Sara headed off with Dune for a well-deserved hot chocolate. Sara thought about why she wanted to head for Climate Town as she looked at her drink. “The gym has a lot to do with it. I hear it’s probably the easiest to get your foot in the door with.” She said remembering what she was told back at the lab on day one. “Truthfully I thought of heading to Eidolon first instead but the quickest way there is through the creepy forest.” She said giving a shudder. Sure she knew what the problem was with the forest but that didn’t mean she wanted to travel through it again. “Yeah no kidding... You seem to know a lot about that gym.” Sara said thinking about how random a lot of the rules were for the gyms. They sure were different. “Your pokegear shows you all that?” Sara said in amazement almost choking on the sip she just took from her cup. “That’s so cool.” She commented before realizing she only had two pokemon at the moment. She had a long way to go before she reached a full team of six. “I still only have two pokemon…” Sara said a little down with herself. She really slacked off since the last time she saw Dune. "Ya!" Dune roared up happily. "Doesn't your pokegear show you? You should have gotten it installed when you registered as a trainer. But Professor Alder get's distracted a lot, and sometimes a pokegear breaks. You can get it installed in any pokemon center... I think..." He scratched at his head. "But I won the badge a little while after Catching Entei in the Safari Zone. Before that, I only had Latios with me. So a two round battle--winner take all--gym match was made and I came out with a Spirit Badge from Eidolon!" He ginned as he explained, and pulled out his pokegear to demonstrate.
"See here? You go to this window, open up this by pushing that button and it lets you scroll through the gyms and contest halls! It gives you every thing! The leader of the gym and all the stuff about them, the pokemon they use in the gym, the rules... The contest hall dates are on here, and so are the rules for each one of those--but I'm more of a gym-goer myself!" He snickered.
Putting everything away, he looked a little anxious with what he was about to say next: "Don't get down on yourself about having just two pokemon. Eidolon, Climate Town... Either way, it doesn't matter how many pokemon you have! Climate's rules are to use as many pokemon as you need to take down a tough castform, and Eidolon's rule is that the gym leader will match how many ever pokemon you have--so no worries! Heck! You can probably see my battle and how awesome it was!" He laughed.
"Originally, I was at Musing City to challenge the gym there, but the leader was away for something or the other. Lydia left for Eidolon after my first loss to Evangeline; said she was gonna go around the long way and see about catch'n up with some friend of hers. I hung back for some super training! But Now I'm not all too sure where to go myself," No matter what, he kept smiling. He smiled as though it made him cooler some how.

Location: ~ Pendant City ~ Sara thought about it before pulling out her pokegear. “I think... there it is…” she said in surprise. “Can you tell I just got this thing before I left my home town?" Sara asked him. It was probably pretty obvious, seeing as she hardly knew how to use the darn thing. Oh well she'd learn eventually... “That sure is something. I don’t know how well I’m going to do, but I plan on trying my best. I’m sure Venonat and Stella will too.” Sara replied honestly. Watching Dune go through the pokegear at least helped her find the darn spot. “I hope to try both, although I don’t think I’m nearly ready yet. I mean, I like the idea of contests but I don’t know if I could handle the spotlight.” She said knowing Venonat sure did. Maybe Dune was right, she shouldn’t be so worried. There was plenty of time to catch as many pokemon as she could. “I still would like at least three pokemon before challenging any gym.” Sara said, knowing it would be crucial if she wanted a chance at winning. When Dune mentioned that he wasn’t sure about where to go she gave it some thought. ‘Didn’t he say he was thinking about heading to Zephyr Town?’ “Weren’t you saying you were thinking of going to Zephyr Town to challenge the gym there?” Sara asked before an idea came to her. ‘It’s a long shot but I might as well…’ she thought before piping up. “Hey if you still want to go, we could go together.” She suggested. “Take the long way along route 502, past Adell to route 501 and 503 all the way to Zephyr Town. From there I can head to Eidolon, challenge the gym there.” she shrugged, it was a thought. Hopefully she didn’t sound stupid. (( OOC: Sorry for the wait.)) "Huh!?" Dune Jumped. Busted! "W-well, ya, ya know--I just thought, eh..." He became nervous and fidgety. He avoided eye contact, looking upward and away while he stumbled over his words and rubbed at his own head. 'I should have just kept my big mouth shut!' he kicked himself mentally.
The imaginary punishment stopped when Sara hinted about traveling together. That put a smile back on his face, knocking the dumb look right off! "Ya! Sounds like a plan!" He jumped in. "We can leave first thing tomorrow for an early start. Besides, I hear that some legendary pokemon like to appear on the road in the morning and disappear later on. It'd be cool to catch one, ya think?" He kept going, awkward and daft. "You lead. I'll follow!"

Location: ~ Pendant City ~ Sara suddenly wondered what she had said. It seemed calling Dune out on what he said earlier put him into a complete state of nervousness. Though, as if she hadn’t said anything to cause it, he was back to normal. Sara couldn’t help but be confused. The thought of whether her travel plans were stupid disappeared when Dune said he was down for it. “Really…? That’s great too hear.” She said happily, practically jumping in her seat. “It would be cool just to see one never mind catch one.” She told him wondering if they really would see a legendary pokemon. “Sounds perfect first thing tomorrow.” She agreed. ---- The following morning Sara was up bright and early. She was ready to make the big trip to Zephyr Town. Luck for her she wouldn’t be travelling alone. Getting dressed and making sure she had everything, Sara went to do one last thing. Going over to Nurse Joy Sara got her pokemon checked out. When they were returned to her she headed off to see if Dune was ready to head out. “Hey Dune, you ready to get going?” she asked him once she tracked him down. Dune got up with a set of daily stretches, sluggish to get going. But when Sara called, he clapped his heels together quickly to come. "Ya, just about!" He hurried over. "Just stocked up on a bit of food and other supplies." He smiled wide and gave a weird kind of chuckle. 'Wow! Out on the road with a cute girl!' He started to fantasize about various scenarios where Sara fell for him. Maybe some terrible monster would attack, and his (non-existent) bravery to repel it would win her over. Maybe it would be the time spent and the laughs shared when she confessed a small crush. In his day dreams, he was always so suave and smooth. "Let's get going and see about catch'n a legend for our teams!"
