You can find all sorts of trinkets and odd goods in the square. Stones, scarves, berries, incense, just to name a few items you can find here. You may also find tutors for your pokemon. The Alcove City tutors specialize in steel and electric type moves. Moves your pokemon normally can't learn on its own can be taught by the move tutors' training and expertise. It's quicker than trying it for yourself to teach them.

 Lydia Cross [From lab]
The town wasn't so crowded like Partright City was. Parents and what looked like older siblings took to fetching groceries, pokemon trainers chatted and compared notes--occasionally swamping challenge numbers--but it seemed like a friendly enough place. "Hey, how about we get some lunch at the pokemon center before heading off to Musing City?" Lydia suggested to her new company. Pika pi! Voltz agreed.
A couple of shouts and screams were heard up ahead. Some sort of trouble! Ai-aipom-mm! A purple pokemon chowed down on a food vendor's supply. "Hey! Get out of here!" The large man called, swatting a fan at the pokemon who easily dodged his clumsy motion. "You can't eat without paying! Ah!" The aipom used its tail to push aside the vendor, and continued eating its free lunch.
"An aipom? In the middle of town?" Lydia blinked, bringing out her pokedex.
Aipom: Aipom are practical jokers by nature, stealing food and objects from passers-by simply to annoy them. Aipom enjoy the misfortune and annoyance of others; they can be badly-behaved and it is difficult to get them to keep still. On the other hand, they can also be quite playful. Aipom also wrap their tails around branches as a precaution to not fall off in their sleep.
"Well, that explains it," Lydia muttered. "But I'm gonna catch it anyway, while it's distracted!" She put away the pokedex, and brought out a pokeball. Aipom looked from the corner of its eye, noticing something familiar lurking behind it. "Pokeball... Go!" She tossed the pokeball, sending it to fly fast at the obnoxious pokemon. Though, without even turning, the aipom used its tail to catch and throw back the pokeball. Bang! Dead mark collision with Lydia's head. "Ow... That wasn't very nice..." She rubbed her bumped head, picking up her pokeball for a second try.
The most famous feature of this arboreal Pokémon is the three-fingered hand on the end of its tail. It uses its tail for many purposes, such as grappling onto tree branches, picking fruit, and manipulating objects. It even uses its tail in most of its attacks.
"Now you tell me," Lydia groaned, getting back up. "Looks like I'll have to battle it. Wait a second..." She noted the gizmo on its tail. "It's Team Chronos' aipom!" Aipom! It smacked at its rear teasingly, mocking its electric rival.

You know that I wish that this night would never be over. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXLionel "Theo" JacksonYou know that I wish that this night would never be over.
There's plenty of time to sleep, when we ๔เє. They were walking around in Town Square, little Litwick choosing to remain situated within the comfortable confines of his hoodie. Li-li-tu! She cooed excitedly, being her normal, cheerful self. It didn't take long though, before they -and by "They" he meant Lydia- stumbled upon an Aipom. Normally, Theo would've just knocked out the Aipom with Litwick but obviously his new friend had different ideas. With a failed attempt to capture, he found himself chuckling as the pokeball hit her forehead. ”Lydia, you really suck at this.” He smiled half-heartedly at her failure, Litwick also laughing bemusedly inside the hood of his hoodie.
Litwick~! He'd met plenty of Aipom's in his two years of traveling, so he could've told her the same things that her Poke'dex at said; he instead found it better to just watch things unfold. "If ya' need any help just let me know." ιƒ ι нα∂ му ωαу ωє'∂ ηєνєя ¢ℓσѕє συя єуєѕ! ________________________________________ Pokemon: Litwick Location: ???

xxxxxxA i n a xxO ' K e i f e xxxxxxxxxxii xxi xxi xxx xxx xxx Aina hummed quietly as she walked with her two new companions; Lempicka, her Subbull, tailing by her feet as it's tiny legs rushed to keep it at it's trainer's pace. The small creature looked around curiously as it followed the human trio, finding the new town interesting, and much different than Castelia City. There, it was a battle just not to get stomped on amidst seas of people! This was a nice change of pace it could really get used to! Aina felt much the same, enjoying the relaxed, casual feel.
It was then that the topic of lunch was brought up that Ain began talking once more. “Lunch would be great!” Aina happily chimed in. “I haven't eaten for a few hours now, and I swear I could eat a Ponyta...”
She stopped as an Aipom was spotted causing a scene, tormenting a food vendor before fending off a Pokeball thrown at it by Lydia. As the ball was tossed back into her face, Aina couldn't help but begin to laugh. Of course she had to weaken it! Even she knew that! Of course, Aina was hardly in a position to criticize her teammate, considering the methods she'd used to catch Ponyta. But, still! This was too good!
“Wha...?” As Aina's laughter began to die down, she heard Lydia mention something about something called Team Chronos. She'd never heard of anything like that before! “What's Team Chronos?” She asked curiously, crossing her arms thoughtfully. Snubbull, in the meanwhile, leered at the Aipom's tail; a glint in it's eyes.

Lydia Cross "They're no better than Team Rocket back in the Kanto region," Lydia began to explain, "Stealing pokemon from trainers. The call it liberating, but they're just a gang of bullies using some kind of mind control to turn pokemon on their trainers. They even turned chansey against Nurse Joy!" In the midst of explaining, aipom took off again. Pika pi! Voltz called to try and halt it. "Whatever they're up to, we gotta stop 'em before they start on turning the pokemon in town!" Lydia hastened. "Voltz, stop it with a thunder wave attack!" The pikachu hurried to catch up in range, growling as it charged up.
Aip? Aipom looked back. Aipo om! It pushed back with swift. Voltz barely able to stop and dodge. AAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIP! It used screech. Both Lydia and Voltz covered their ears, trying to evade the painful sound, as did several citizens close to the attack. Aii-pom aiipom! It laughed, dashing off again. "Wait!" Lydia called, her ears still ringing. "Follow it!"
"Aipom," Madison called as they wondered the more deserted parts of town. "Come on out little buddy!" Chris called after. "It probably dashed into the woods to slack off and eat." "Hm..." Chris took a thinking pose. "What is it?" "I was just thinking." "What?" "I don't recall any wild bananas in these woods." Smack!"Quit being an ignoramus!" "Ow!!" "Aipom!" "Aipom! She hit me!" Another smack.

xxxxxxA i n a xxO ' K e i f e xxxxxxxxxxii xxi xxi xxx xxx xxx “Really? No better...?” She asked, finding this hard to believe. She'd seen many reports in various media about the criminal organization; none of them at all good. “Can you really call it liberating if they have to hypnotize Pokemon?” She went on, furrowing her brows with slight frustration. They had never once wronged her, but that they forced their hypocritical, hurtful believes on others like this was something she couldn't quite see past. If she was ever to be separated from dear Lempicka, she'd be lost! That other trainers had to live with this as their reality because of Team Chronos was maddening.
Lydia seemed one stop ahead of Aina however, and initiated an attack on the Long Tail Pokemon. Voltz's Thunder Wave was an impressive sight, but it appeared as though the Aipom had some more experience, blasting the attack back with Swift. The fact that it had used an attack to match it's type only seemed to augment the technique’s power, nearly hitting the Electric-type. It was then that Screech was used that Aina covered her ears to try and avoid the attack. Snubbull itself fell to the ground; it's sharp hearing providing the attack even more power. It hurt Aina too, and this provided for an excellent opportunity for Aipom to escape.
Aina didn't need to hear Lydia's call to begin chasing Aipom. Picking up Snubbull, her feet carrying her quickly after the Pokemon that had assaulted her. As she ran, Lempicka, in Aina's arms, began waggling it's hands back and forth for a Metrenome attack. Several moments passed before it finished, but when it did, it let loose an array of Bullet Seeds at the Pokemon that had previously attacked it.

Lydia Cross Aip? Aipom looked back as it noticed its pursuers, and came face to face with bullet seed. Pooom! It rolled back. "Alright Voltz," Lydia jumped at opportunity, "Thundershock!" Pika! Chuuu! her pokemon let out an electrical attack. Poor aipom was a sitting duck from bullet seed, and took the full blunt of it. "Thunder wave!" Lydia called. Her pikachu charged in. And charged faster. And faster! "But that's a quick attack," She gawked a moment, remembering Page's Doduo. But as it closed in, aipom sat itself up. A sad look grew on its face and it began to... cry? Aii-iii-poo-oom! It wailed and wept. Voltz stopped short. Bad guys didn't cry!
"It's... Crying," Lydia said in an obvious notation. "Well... what do we do now?" Voltz began to feel bad, trying to comfort the purple pokemon. Aipom aipoooom! It continued to cry as the trainers closed in enough to hear its tiny tummy roar and fuss. "You mean... It was really just hungry? And that was all?" Lydia's face fell. 'There's no evil plan? Just food?' She felt horrible. She was so sure it was up to no good and not just fast food.
Lydia couldn't take a crying pokemon being right there and not do something. But since they were gonna stop for lunch anyway, why not snack there? She took out some snacks, sitting down to share them with aipom, who was eager to take them and eat. "You know, when we're not fighting eachother, you're not a bad pokemon at all aipom." She smiled. Aip-om! It said with a mouth full of food. "But I can't understand why a nice pokemon would team up with team chronos. It doesn't make sense." She sighed as she watched how well Aipom got along with the other pokemon. "Hey, aipom?" Aip? "Why don't you travel with us instead?" Aip pom? "You don't have to do bad things anymore." Aip? It tilted its head in confusion.
"Back off squirt!" A voice fell over. "We were traveling with aipom first!"
Lydia looked around before realizing who it was. "Oh, not agaaaiiin," She moaned.
"Pokemon abusers beware!" "We're here to make things more unfair." "To protect the world from devastation." "To unit the pokemon in our nation." "Madison." "And Chris." "Team Chronos, liberation extreme!" "Our mission is gonna blight your dreams!" "Aipom pom!" Aipom ran up to rejoin the duo. "Our little trio..." Chris sobbed. "Together again," Madison sobbed with him and aipom in a hug. "Now you little brats!" Her temper flared, expression changed, and attention directed right at the trainers. "You thought you could steal our little buddy from us with tricks and cookies! Well you were wrong!" "And we say we're gonna repay you by liberating your pokemon too. Hoothoot!" "Drowzee, get in there too!"
"We're not falling for that," Lydia stood. "Voltz! Thundershock!" The pikachu launched an angry electric attack.
"Not so fast little girl!" Madison cackled as they pulled out some plastic looking shield. "We came prepared this time. Our new rubber bumper protectors reflect your pikachu's power!" "And it's fire proof!" Chris added on. "Because a region filled with fire types with a school named after a firebird, what are the chances? Very high!" "Idiot."

Lydia Cross sad "You're not the only one with a new trick," Lydia called out. "Voltz, use Quick attack!" The pikachu ran fast in a blur, charging at the trio ahead.
"You think we're falling for a cheap attack like that?" Chris called. "Let's get 'em Aipom!" Madison grinned with aipom jumping up to launch a swift attack back. And this time, it didn't miss. Voltz was hit hard and sent rolling back. "Now that that's out of the way..." "We'll start liberation!" Aipom! Pom! The purple matching pokemon cheered as it unleashed more of its swift attack, stirring up the wild life around it.
"We gotta get out of here," Lydia worried, looking around as swift flew everywhere, and found herself quickly surrounded by wild pokemon, here, at the edge of town and forest. 'Are they under team chronos?' She cringed as they growled and glared at the humans.
"They don't look to happy." "I'm never happy. Just shut up and start the machine!" The two bantered before the gloom at the foot of the wild pokemon let out a stun spore. Thick and almost red in color. They began to cough, the spores irritating their lungs.
'I have to--' Lydia got caught up in the thick spores, her lungs on fire. 'I have to get Voltz out of here!' She scooped up the pokemon, trying to make a run for it, but hardly got anywhere before her muscles started to tighten up, and stun spore's full effect set in. "N...o..." She collapsed. The last thing she heard was the sound of growls and the feel of trying to hang onto her pokemon.

Lydia Cross It must have been only an hour or so before Lydia came to, but the panic she felt made time irrelevant. Whether it was five minutes or five days, it didn't matter once she was moving and realized her pokemon wasn't there beside her. "Voltz? Voltz! Voltz, where are you!?" She called. She'd lost track of her new friends, and even lost sight of team chronos. Voltz was missing, and nothing else mattered. "Voltz!" Pika pikaaa! A tiny voice called back. Lydia looked carefully, unable to find the source, and listened again. Pikaaa! "That's Voltz! I know it!" She hurried as best she could.
When finally she found the little electric pokemon, it was in bad shape. Swift had dealt some high damage, and stun spore didn't help. 'I shouldn't have fallen for crocodile tears on that aipom! I should have been more careful! This is all my fault!' She scolded herself harshly. "Voltz. It's gonna be okay," She tried to comfort the pokemon. Careful to approach, she had to think quickly.
A heal ball will heal a newly caught pokemon She recalled Jamie's words. But Voltz wasn't a wild pokemon.
'Come on Lydia! Think! Think fast!' She tried, distracted by the pain that showed on her pokemon. There had to be something she had with her. 'Wait!' She dug deep in her bag to look for that potion she'd been given, feeling something roll over her knee. "What?" She looked down, seeing something blue peek out, and a thin stem poking from one of her pack's pockets. "That's..." She pulled it out. "That's the oran berry from Partright. And the cherri berry! Page said I should keep one just in case..."
"Right mighdy rangler needs ta be righ ready. Sides, w're thinker than Uncle Harris's Porage, way you been help'n me ou'."
Lydia couldn't help but smile. She felt so guilty at the time when she took the little tough berries. But now, she felt relieved to have had Page's foresight. She only kept one, but every little bit helped. "Voltz, please... Try and eat this," She held up the cherri berry to its lips first. Weak and tired, it took effort on the pikachu's part to chew and eat the tiny berry. Though, with the oran berry, it seemed to get just a little easier near the end.

Location: ~ Lab → Town Square ~ David didn’t know what to do know that they were in Phior. They had gone to the lab and gotten all his stuff from the professor there but aside from that nothing. “So what are we going to do now Tiny?” he asked suddenly. “Lar…?” (Uh…?) Tiny questioned his trainer. “I know… you don’t know either…” David stated as he looked to his right shoulder to see his companion. Tiny loved sitting on David’s shoulder it made him feel special. “Well I guess we’ll just keep walking and find out where our feet take us.” He concluded started through the town. “Maybe we’ll find someone to battle?” he added which seemed to brighten Tiny’s spirits. Lyra Heart
Lyra leaned back in her chair, enjoying a fat meal and cold drink. She waved around her hand, relaxed in every way--or so it would appear. "Yup. Came from the orange islands. Some of the toughest gyms I hope you know! And went through Kanto after that. Been roughing my way through it all. You'd be lucky to have someone with my experience. I'll whip those kiddies right into shape! Guarantee they'll all be at the top of their game once I'm done with 'em." She tossed herself upright again, drinking her soda and chucking in a few fries to munch. "I'm tell'n ya now! No one is better than me for this job! You're other battle instructors will come to me for training and advice!" She talked a big talk, and with nothing to really back it up. 'This job is as good as mine!'

Annie cringed. It was more apparant now that Lyra was a liability in waiting. "I'm sorry, but all of our battle instructing positions are filled," She apologized, unsure of how things might end. She wasn't just a person: Anastasia Phoenix was a representation of her academy, and had to be careful with delicate or hot matters in public. And already, as it always is, rumors had spun around about her love life. Her partying habits didn't help either... But she kept quiet, not wanting to expose anything until she was sure Tony would return from his summer travels, and return her feelings as well. The tabloids on Caim were... something she'd rather forget. "There's a few staffing positions open. We do need a helping librarian for part time, or a night security. One of my current night watchers has been asking to move to day shifts, but we'd need to do a thorough back ground check..."

 Lyra Heart
Lyra's face dropped to a panic. And quickly she changed her tune into her true colors. Part time wouldn't nearly pay for anything! "I need something full time! Anything!" She leaned across the table in worry, grabbing hold of the headmistress again in a plea. "I don't care what it is! I just need it full time! Please, I haven't got a cent on me! I really need a job! Anything! There's gotta be something you can do!" She was so loud, she began to cause a scene. As far as she knew about the school, part timers generally were already living in town, and little compensation was given to general staff unless they'd be needed in a moment's notice. Security, gardening... She couldn't afford to rent a place on a smaller wage! "You gotta let me stay! I came all the way from the Kanto region, and I can't even get a ticket back! I seriously need a good job!" She was almost demonic in her pleas, down to a twitch in her eye.

Annie's expression changed, almost as quickly as Lyra's attitude. "H-h-h-huh?" She blinked, watching the woman make an overly dramatic scene and draw in unwanted attention. She began to sweat and worry about what the best thing would be to do in order to calm the situation and recover her image. Though, the whole thing only made her pitty the obnoxious woman. Annie was being guilted into hiring someone she knew would probably only cause problems for her. "I... I'll look into a few areas," She gave a vague answer. She wanted to calm the whole thing without making definite promises. "And I guess lunch is on me too then..." She tried to start compensating while she thought." There were a few teachers that had gone off to help the recovery forces around the regions where team rocket thrived. But most of them had been replaced and applications were pouring in from new graduates or from someone with repair costs or a new family to support. "Well... Now that I think about it. Gym teachers are fewer this year. I supposed we could trial you on that position for classes E, R, and U. It'll be quite the load until we can find more teachers, but until then, you'd have a place to stay on the academy. If all goes well, I'd be happy to make you an official instructor." That seemed fair, right?
