The Climate Town Pokemon Center, where trainers can heal there Pokemon, relax, and even stay the night!! All for no cost!

Electra Sparks

"Finally!" Electra sighed with relief as she took a seat down in the waiting room of the pokemon center. Her pack of pikachu collapsed in relief with her as well, laying on the cool floor. "I thought we'd stay lost when we went off the road. That's the last time I try and take a shortcut!" She laughed. Though, laughter stopped when the news of a pokemon contest came up. Electra listened carefully, honing in on the times and location. "Magnolia Town..." She uttered as she brought up the map in her pokenav. "Looks like there's a road right to it from here!" She smiled. "It's perfect! We can challenge the gym, and win or lose we can still make it to the contest hall. If we don't take another wild short cut, that is. Let's see the description... A team contest?" Her head tilted. "Well, we'll worry about that later. For now, lets take a rest and plan out a strategy for the gym," He electric team cheered in agreement.

As the nurse Joy of the center took a look at her pokemon, Electra went right to work: planning a strategy to battle the gym leader. "The challenger may use as many pokemon as needed. Then that means I can maneuver my pokemon better. I only wish I'd caught that little one before I got here. I didn't do so well at the Alcove gym, so this is a second chance." She looked over her pokedex to compare notes and review her team's move sets. "And what pokemon will the gym leader use?" She moved down on her pokegear. "Hm? Just a castform?" She blinked. Why would the gym leader only use one pokemon? What was the catch? "That must be it. It says here that it uses a weather manipulating move, followed by weather ball. He's gotta be an intense battler! Being able to change the battling conditions to your own advantage and throwing off your opponent with sudden changes or type disadvantage. It's gotta be a powerful pokemon too. I'll bet he gets a lot of trainers who get over confident about how many pokemon they can use versus only one. It wouldn't suprise me if he's got a dozen strategies ready! I'll have to be careful."

Location: ~ Climate Town (Square → Center) ~

Amber got up bright and early the following morning; the same couldn't be for Sylvia. All night until the little mole fell asleep, it was staring. Amber took the time to sneak out of the room before anyone could wake up. However Lee's ears perked as she moved and he shifted in bed. "Go back to sleep..." she whispered before leaving the room. Eve lifted her head from her spot next to Sylvia as Amber left the room. Lee glanced over before getting up from his spot, stretched out, and then left the room following after his trainer.

Amber heard the light paws of her pokemon following behind her. "Lee... I'm surprised you aren't napping..." she said stopping and waiting for her Eevee to catch up. Kneeling down she picked up the white coated Eevee and headed outside. "The sun’s shinning this morning. Wonder how long it will last..." she thought out loud as she looked up at the sky. "Ee~" Lee yawned.

Meanwhile Sylvia was just starting to wake up. "Morning Eve... oh and you too Drilbur... Drilbur...?" she said petting her Eevee. Rubbing her eyes, Sylvia looked around the room to see Drilbur sneaking out of the room. "Where's he going Eve?" she asked. "Eevee." (Probably following Amber.) she answered looking over at her trainer happily. "Where's Amber?!" Sylvia began to freak out. "Eevee eev." (It's okay Sylvia.) Eve said hopping onto her trainer's lap. Getting pulled into a hug she tried her best to comfort her friend.

Drilbur headed out of the room and out into the main part of the center. Looking around he didn't see the purple haired girl anywhere. "Drilbur?" (Amber?) he asked himself as he continued looking around. Heading outside after a while Drilbur spotted the brown eyes girl. "Drilbur." (Morning.) he said going over to the pair. "Hello Stalker..." Amber said her voice sounding rather annoyed. "Why do you keep following me?" she asked the ground pokemon. "Dril dril." (I like you.) The mole replied. Amber didn't get it...

"Look, we'll be leaving town today and you can't come with us." Amber told him. "Dril dril?" (Why not?) Drilbur tilted his head. "Eevee eve..." (Because she doesn't want you...) Lee replied her voice uncaring. The Drilbur slumped his head as he started walking off and away from the center. "What did you just say to him?" Amber asked Lee. "Eevee." (Nothing.) he replied simply. "Wait..." she sighed following after him. "I'm guessing you like me or something... and Sylvia would kill me if I let you leave all depressed like this. So, you can stay, but I want to battle you first. Deal?" Amber asked kneeling down beside him. The Drilbur looked up at her, his expression changing from sad to overjoyed. "Drilbur!" (Deal!)

Location: ~ Climate Town (Center) ~

“Ready?” Amber asked as Lee and Drilbur got into position. “Dril.” “Vee.” (Ready.) Both pokemon replied. “Alright then, Lee tackle.” She called out. Diving into action Lee went at top speeds towards the ground type. Drilbur retaliated with a spray of mud. Lee managed to roll out of the way of the mud but got nailed by a scratch. “Sand Attack!” Amber called out. Lee brushed the ground at Drilbur to stop its attacking. Drilbur jumped back from the odd colored Eevee and quickly went to formulating his next plan of attack.

Sylvia looked to Eve in her arms before looking to the door. ‘Maybe Drilbur knows where Amber is…’ she thought before sliding herself out of bed. Putting her Eevee down, Sylvia changed into her travel clothes, before picking her friend up and heading out of the room. “Amber wouldn’t leave us… right Eve…?” she asked her pokemon as she walked down the halls of the pokemon center. “Eevee.” (Right.) Eve replied knowing it would put Slyvia’s mind at ease if they found Amber.

“Drilbur!” It called out rushing at the white colored Eevee claws spinning. “Lee, Sand-attack then Tackle.” Amber called out. Lee quick kicked sand up again. It did nothing, although it wasn’t meant to. Lee used the time it gave him to get behind Drilbur and hit him in the back. Drilbur went flying forward, spinning over he quickly sprayed mud at the Eevee. Luckily this caused Lee to jump back gained distance yet again.

It was about this time that Sylvia came walking out to see their battle. “Amber, what are you doing?” she asked her sister. “Quiet sis.” She told her before going back to concentrating. “Growl,” Amber commanded. “Eevee!” Lee cried out. The mole pokemon covered his ears before sending mud flying towards him. “Dodge it and use Tackle.” She called out. Lee stopped his cries and dodged out of the way before dashing forward and nailing head first into a collision with Drilbur’s claws. Both pokemon went flying apart and both pokemon remained standing, although tired and weak.

“That’s enough for me.” Amber called out tossing a pokeball at the ground types head. Being sucked into the ball Amber watched as it shook. It only moved once before clicking shut. Walking over Amber picked up the pokeball. “Good job Lee, return.” With that Lee was returned to his pokeball. “Amber! You just caught Drilbur!” Sylvia shouted. “Yeah," she answered before pausing. "I’m healing my pokemon and then we’re out of here.” She told her sister with that she headed back inside the pokemon center. Hopefully Sylvia wouldn’t bother her too badly over this.
