Rules
This gym is where most trainers start off.
The rules are as follows:
The challenger may use as many pokemon as he or she needs.
The Gym Leader will use only his castform.
No substitutions
The battle will end when all pokemon from either side have been declared unable to battle

 Electra Sparks
[from pokemon center]
"I'm here for a gym challenge!" Electra called out as she entered the gym. She wasn't about to let one loss overcome her confidence or will to fight. She just had to keep trying and get better. So, she hid how nervous she was rather well to keep her team's spirits high. "Are you guys ready?" She asked her tiny squad of yellow pokemon, still searching for the gym leader. Lysander was the first to cheer, Malukah next with confidence, and Odessa to try and keep up. 'Our last gym battle was a bust, but we can win this time! I know it! I just need to stay calm and think about the battle. I got to riled up and over powered last time.' It wasn't a lie. Alcove's gym leader hadn't so much as flinched as he took out each of her pokemon, his own seldom damaged.

Hikaru Sora  A young woman walked up to the challenger and smiled brightly at her. "Welcome to Climate town Gym. I am Lucy, one of the gyms caretakers. Our gym leader is out right now, but he will be here shortly. If you don't mind taking a seat for a moment, he will be here, and ready to battle. Would you like some refreshments while you wait?" The young lady pointed to row of tables that had some sodas and snacks on them. After months Lucy had figured out that it was better to give the trainers that came something to do while they waited for Hikaru. That man was always busy, but least he was motivated. About fifteen minutes later Hikaru strolled in, fluffing his grey jacket and adjusting the collar on his turtle neck. Pushing the glasses up his nose he turned to Lucy, "So who is my challenger today?" He asked her calmly. She pointed to young girl with the three Pikachus. "Right thanks" Lucy nodded calmly while Hikaru moved over to meet the girl he would soon be battling, "Hello there, I am Hikaru Sora, the gym leader. I hope I did not keep you waiting long." His smile was kind and genuine but that only hid the thought in his brain. His mind was working overtime to figure out the best way to beat this young trainer, as it was his job to make sure that trainers were ready for their next challenge. If they weren't it would show in the battle.  whether the weather

Electra Sparks
Electra sighed when she had to wait. It felt like an eternity with the anticipation of a battle, and the race to Magnolia town for a contest. She hadn't kept track of any amount of snacks or drinks she took, starting to second guess her strategy with all the time gapping her battle. Was there time to rearrange her plans? What if she forgot her first plan? It'd have to wait. The gym leader finally came! A kind looking man, not at all like the one in Alcove city who seemed so easily irritated. "Electra Sparks," She stuck out her hand. Her name was more of an accident than anything intentional, as was the fact that she loved pikachu. "I'm really eager to start, since the Magnolia contest is coming up, please!" She brought up her pokeball, her first pick inside it. She didn't have any type advantage, and even less in real battling experience, but came up with the best battle plan she could to try and stand a chance. A more eager look glimmered in her eyes. She couldn't wait to see how her plays panned out so she could start preparing for the Magnolia contest.

Hikaru Sora Hikaru nodded thoughtfully. "Well in that case we should get started. Please follow me." Hikaru led the way into the main gym area. He could tell that this girl, Electra was ready to. He hoped that causing had not made her too self-conscious. As they entered the large room Hikaru happily looked around. It was nothing special, not like what he heard some other gym leaders had. It was nice big open space with large windows that showed off the landscape outside. The one special part of the gym was that the roof could open, so that weather moves become more... interesting. Hikaru took his place at the far end of the battle area and smiled, pushing up his glasses. "The rules of this gym are simple. You can use as members of your team to defeat my team, which is one Castform. There is no substitution in battle. Items are allowed, as needed, of course. The battle is over once either team is unable to continue. Now than, are you ready to start?" Hikaru held out Castforms pokeball and threw it into the air, letting out his long time friend out. They were both ready for this challenge. ((This will be good. I hope you can still get to the contest)) whether the weather

Electra Sparks
"Thank you," Electra smiled anxiously. "I only have three pokemon, but I think I've come up with a good plan," She followed him into the gym. The windows or opening door didn't surprise her too much--that should be expected when you're facing seasoned Castform. "My first choice is... Lysander! She called out her first pikachu, standing ready to battle. She'd thought long and hard about how to open, and how to maneuver. Lysander stood as the clear first pick. And when the match was called to begin, Electra didn't hesitate to take her first move. "Lysander, open up with Flash attack!" She called. The little pokemon growled as it charged up and let out a blinding light. In this match, Electra's best offense would be a good defense and to be able to hide and elude the best she could. And if her pokemon could hide in plain sight, all the better. If nothing more, Lysander might be able to get it uncoordinated or maybe even tired out.
[Lakita said it'll go through the week when we talked this morning, so I might still make it sweatdrop ]

Hikaru Sora Hikaru smiled, this was going to be an interesting battle. "Good move, but now this is going to become serious. Castform, Hail!" At this point the ceiling opened up reveling the sky above. As the flash of Electra's Pikachu faded to just dots in Castforms eyes it finally let out a squeal and hail started to fall. So much for email Hikaru had sent his father earlier that day. Hopefully this attack would only effect this general area. The hailstorm was quite intense, hopefully this would be an interesting battle as Hikaru was predicting. The trainer before had a few more pokemon in her arsenal so this should be a good battle after all. whether the weather
is predictable or not

Electra Sparks
"I thought that might be his opening move," Electra smiled as she muttered to herself. "I saw this in a contest once... Lysander, dig, now!" She called out, her pikachu being pelted by hail before seeking refuge underground. 'If we knew a stronger attack like thunder, we could use the clouds to our advantage. But he was probably testing that. Rain dance would have given us a better shot with electric attack, and we'd still be at no advantage if he used sunny day. Hail would deal damage to anything on the surface to get one up. I can almost tell how well castform knew the strategy. Any trainer would get flustered with attacks from all sides. He's good!' She put aside her admiring thoughts, and went on with her strategy. "Now stay underground and use hidden power!" She called confidently. From the safety of its burrow, the pikachu send out bright packed bubbles out to fly wildly in the gym. It was a random game of chance, maybe baring little affect, but it would at least buy time for Electra to plan out her next move.

Hikaru Sora It took Castform a moment to change form, enough time for Electra to plan her attack, it was quite an impressive attack too. "Nicely done, but you will not be able to stay hidden forever." Hikaru looked at the field thinking fast. He wanted to turn this around, Castform was only getting warmed up. "Castform, Weather Ball, aim for the hole those bubbles came out of." Castform chirped in reply, the hailstorm almost completely drowning out his voice. Then he turned to hole were the bubbles had come out of and aimed. A strange combination of snow-crystals and light launched itself towards the hole. This was only way he was going to be able to flush out this Pikachu, and he wanted it to work. whether the weather

"Lysander, use volt-switch! Quick!" Electra panicked. The pikachu raised up its electric attack to buff out the attack and retreat back to its pokeball. Odessa coming out to continue the fight. 'Oh no! I used it too soon!' She realized her mistake. But now what? The battle field hadn't been set enough to do anything worth noting to help her. There was only one place to seek out any shelter, and castform's accuracy hadn't fallen as much as she wanted it to. What's more, hail was still pelting down. So now what? There wasn't much she could do except try and tire it with brute strength, and that was the riskiest move by far!

Hikaru Sora "Nicely done Casform, let's try weather ball again!" Hikaru called out. Castform chirped in agreement. The volt switch seemed to now have thrown Electra off, which was good for Hikaru and Castform, not good for Electra and her Pikachus. Hikaru felt sorry for the girl, she clearly was panicing now, not a good sign. Still if that meant this battle was going to end quickly then he had expect. Castform let the weather ball and aimed towards the ground, at the Pikachu, however once it was sent out, it was beyond the aim control of Castform. Hikaru folded his arm over his chest, his thoughts slowly turning away from the battle. He stared up out the sky wondering how much longer this little hail storm was going to last, he may want think about changing the weather anyway, it was starting to get cold. ((I am so sorry it has take me so long to reply, I have been having really bad writers block)) whether the weather

Electra Sparks
"Odessa, dodge with quick attack!" Electra called instinctively. Using her pokemon's speedy moves to help evade rather than brutishly attack, she sighed with relief. 'That one was a close call, but I can't rely on that strategy forever. I have to land a hit!' She bit on her lip. She didn't have much of an excuse to keep delaying. Every dodge was still met by a pelting of hail. 'I'm gonna have to go all out.' She finally decided. "Odessa! Volt Tackle, and hurry!" The pikachu looked back, but didn't argue. The smallest and youngest of the group held the best power attack; if they wanted to win, they had to take the risk.
[it's alright. I get the same thing sweatdrop dice roll 1-10 (5) to determine the 10% chance paralysis?]

Hikaru Sora Hikaru watched in surprise as the little pikachu dodged the attack. "Nicely done!" He called out to Electra. This battle was clearly far from over. As Castform was hit by a Volt Tackle Hikaru bit his lip, but luckily his little partner was not paralyzed. What a relief. "Thank goodness. Alright then, Castform I think we have all had it with the snow. Sunny Day!" He called. Yes he knew that changing the weather again would cause the hail to stop but the hail was also causing visibility problems. It was also getting way to cold now. Time for a change. ((Sounds fair, I just need to get the numbers out first)) whether the weather

Electra Sparks
Electra finally found her rhythm again. And what's more: the hail stopped! Odessa had taken a few bumps and hits from the pelting ice, but now she could focus a little more in the sudden warmth. "Keep up Volt tackle! Don't let up Odessa!" She called. Volt tackle had it's recoil, and Odessa would feel it soon, but she had to take the risk! Quick attack wasn't powerful enough to do much, and if that weather ball hit, she'd be down! She needed to tire it out as quickly as she could. But she couldn't help thinking, in the back of her mind... Why would he choose to change to sunny day? What was he planning?
