Lydia Cross "Well I'm glad to see you kids got through," Said the Jenny on the other side of the call screen. "But you really shouldn't have gone in! I hope you'll be more careful in the future."
"We will Officer Jenny," Lydia assured.
"Now that we know just what to expect, maybe we can start up another construction crew to set permanent roads, and hire guides to take trainers through safely," The Pendant City Jenny smiled, seeming excited. Maybe rightly so. Pendant City had a pretty good cause, but seemed sleepy in the number of visitors. Maybe the roads would help with that.
"I sent a Pidgy Post over to Jenny in Eidolon. It'd be nice to have direct roads rathat than just walk the whole way around." It was going to be a while between the two Jenny's.
Dune felt a little constricted as he waited for his pokemon. Between Sara, and now Aina, two cute girls, he didn't know what to do with himself and stayed awkward. Finally, he couldn't take it! "S-Sara?" He flinched. "I... I wanted to give you my pokegear number!" He said louder than he wanted, or had control over. "A-and-and Aina too." His face turned red and embarrassed with blush. He never felt so awkward or uncomfortable in his life until now, nor had he so desperately not want to part yet and want to run all at once. Lydia snickered and laughed out in the corner, until his futile voice identified her in a sigh. "And... Lydia too..." He didn't ask the guy who showed up at the last minute. He didn't know him! And he wasn't a cute girl--most definitely not!
"Huh?" Lydia blinked. He sounded reluctant, unfathomably so. But she agreed. "Sure. After all, I still need to beat up in a battle. Our first one got interrupted."
"Hey! I was just about to win, and you know it!"
"You were not!"
"Was too!"
"Were not!"
"I'll prove it to you right now!"
"Good enough for me!" They leered each other down before realizing their pokemon were still being tended too. Inevitably, they both gave up on the idea.

Location: ~ Illusion Forest (Pendant City) → Pokemon Center ~ Sara walked into the center and handed off Venonat and her new Stantler addition to Nurse Joy to take care of. "Yeah we will." she added right behind Lydia. Chances were they wouldn't go looking for trouble. "It sure is great that they're going to try and connect to two towns directly isn't it?" Sara asked as they waited for their pokemon to come back for healing. Then Dune did a sudden burst out. "Yeah…?" Sara replied before getting the shock of her life. He wanted to give her his pokegear number. "Sure Dune and you can have mine as well." she said with a smile. "Along with everyone else as well." she added knowing that it was a great way to stay in touch. After that Lydia and Dune started going at it again. What was with these two and wanting to prove who was better anyways? "You two are incorrigible..." she muttered giving a light sigh. It was this very reason they got stuck in Illusion Forest after all. Team: Venonat (M) - Lv. 10, Stella (F) - Lv. 10

xxxxxxA i n a xxO ' K e i f e xxxxxxxxxxii xx xxi xxx xxx xxx “We'll try.” Chuckled Aina in reply to Officer Jenny; her hand rubbing the back of her head in embarrassment. That such a big scene had come out of all of this was a little humiliating!
Aina's friend with the Venonat then remarked that it was a good thing something was being done to connect the towns through the forest. “I'm not entirely sure you'd want to build roads in there, to be honest. It's terrifying!” Aina replied to Sara's comment, her voice dramatic as she made a face for dramatic effect. “Those Pokemon didn't look to happy to see us, either.” She added, crossing her arms thoughtfully. No Pokemon that wanted them there would have acted the way they had – that was for sure! Whether it was Aina's genuine concern for the Pokemon's habitat, or the poor travelers who'd have to deal with the ghastly Pokemon's illusions, she knew that she'd never go in that forest again without good reason.
Aina stayed quite for a few moments, her mind still stick thinking about the forest, when Lydia's male friend loudly asked that Lydia, the girl who's name was evidently Sara, and Aina all take his Pokegear number. She turned to him with an odd expression, but soon turned a mischievous smile. Though Aina let on a pure and naive image which was most often true to her character, she was just a smidgen more smart in some areas than some might think for such a dotty girl. Men weren't a mystery to her anymore – she was eighteen and had just graduated Phoenix Academy, after all. She had gone through several boyfriends already, and even then, probably knew what she was doing better than most girls her age. She'd grown up in an orphanage, after all! She was exposed to all sorts of things there, this being just one of them. She did find Dune's nervousness cute, though. Before he could actually get on to handing out his number though, he wound up arguing with Lydia. Figures!
As Lydia and Dune kept up their bickering, she went to Nurse Joy's desk and found a pile of sheets for trainers to take, offering helpful beginner tips. Then, taking out her own pen, she quickly jotted down her name and number.
Finished, she made her way over to Dune, who'd now stopped fighting with Lydia, and handed him the sheet. She winked playfully as she passed by him, going on and taking a seat close by. She let out a loud sight as she did, finding the comfort of a simple chair absolutely exquisite after having dealed with the terrors inside of the forest. “If I ever step foot in that forest again, it'll be too soon.”

Adam Angeal de la Tierra I don't have big dreams, I have big goals! Adam was relieved to be away from the forest. Dealing with those scary Pokemon was nerve-wrecking, when he saw that giant black fox-like Pokemon charging at him he nearly pissed himself! Sure, it was technically part of his plan to cause a distraction, but he wasn't expecting it to be so scary. The only thing that made him keep going was the greater fear that if he stood still then he would get caught and maybe eaten. He ran after the other people while holding the pink-haired girl's hand all along. He was too scared to let go of her hand and even when Officer Jenny found them and they were taken to the Pokemon Center he was still holding onto the girl's hand. When he realized his embarrassing action he quickly let go and ran away from her, fearing she would see his blushing face and make fun of him (girls were scary). Tepig followed after him and they both reached Nurse Joy, another pink-haired lady. Adam stopped and pointed his fingers together with a blushing face, "umm, uh, mhmm N-Nurse Joy?" He mumbled while twiddling with his thumbs. Nurse Joy hardly heard him, but she noticed his presence and turned to him kindly. Adam stumbled back as she leaned in making his face even redder. Why couldn't he talk normally to girls? "Yes? What can I help you with?" Adam took a deep breath and decided to just be done with this, "Can you please heal my Pokemon, we were lost in the forest for a very long time and we even fought a Gastly before meeting with these people and taking on another group of super scary Pokemon who were trying to eat us and I think my Tepig could really use some healing as well as this gastly!" He reached back and grabbed the said Gastly so that Nurse Joy could see him.
The young woman placed her hand over her mouth tried to hold back her giggles, the boy was so embarrassed. He talked really fast and his explanation was longer than expect, he was cute. "Of course I can dear, just leave them to me and I'll have them ready for you." Adam nodded and then bowed deeply to the kind nurse, "the Gastly is not my Pokemon, but please heal him too." Nurse Joy nodded and then patted his head affectionately before taking his Pokemon so that they could be healed. Once she was gone, Adam sighed in relief sitting down on the ground feeling exhausted even more tired than all that running he did in the forest. He looked back at the ground of trainers, they looked like they were having fun. He wanted to join in, but he wasn't sure if that was acceptable. Everyone in the group knew each other, he just happened to run into them and maybe they would appreciate him just trying to join their group. But I'm not all that strong... Adam thought staring at the ground. He was still too new and traveling by himself was scary. His shiny Tepig, Spitfire, was strong, but he wasn't sure how to tap into that power yet. He didn't even know that Spitfire could use Sleep Talk which was a lucky break for him because otherwise he wouldn't have won against Gastly and his Hypnosis.
Traveling with people would be fun...he imagined. He looked back at the trainers again, where would they go now?Current Team: Wild Pokemon:

 Lydia Cross [breakfast]
When Nurse Joy called over the trainers in the morning, Lydia and Dune in particular were eager and happy. "Now we can finish our battle!" Lydia smiled wide.
"Ha! In your dreams!" Dune pulled away his pokeballs.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Lydia blinked. "We still need to finish, you big chicken!"
"It's not that," He said, grinning to himself. "I need to save up strength to battle the gymleader here."
"There's a gym here?" Lydia became a little surprised.
"Ya, and one of the toughest ones ever! The first of the region I think. But I heard that the trainers who get her badge can pretty much claim the championship! Every time!"
"She's that strong?" Lydia became awed, dreaming up what the gymleader must be like. "Then I'm coming too!" She called up in excitement.
"Wanna see a pro get a gym badge?" Dune smirked arrogantly.
"I wanna meet the gymleader," Lydia said, focusing in. "And I wanna battle her too." For a tiny person, her whole body began to shake with anticipation, and all at once she could remember watching the gym battles against Mysty in Cerulean City.
"Lydia," Nurse Joy broke that focus. "I'm sorry, but the pokeball you asked me to look at is empty," She said.
"What? No stantler...?" Lydia's face and posture fell. Dune laughed at her, poking fun at her misfortune. "I wish I had caught one. It'd be nice to have a pokemon as strong as that who can also help carry supplies..." She sighed.

Adam Angeal de la Tierra I don't have big dreams, I have big goals! Everyone was called by Nurse Joy in order to pick up their healed Pokemon. Adam was relieved to know that his Tepig would be okay as well as the Gastly that joined them. He smiled and bowed at the pretty pink-haired lady who took great care of his Pokemon friends. He summoned his Tepig, Spitfire, in order to have a good look at him. The pig Pokemon jumped into his arms in joy and Adam petted him returning the affection. Gastly flew around him looking happy and thankful for asking the nurse to heal him as well. Adam wondered what the Gastly would be doing now that it was healed, he didn't leave and instead seemed to hang around him. He didn't mind having a companion with them, Gastly could travel with them as much as he wanted. Adam didn't return Spitfire to his Pokeball, he liked walking with his Tepig that way they could both see the world together.
Adam could overhear the conversation the other trainers were having especially since they were both being quite loud about it. He was a morning person too, but their pep was much more than his own and they were clearly excited about something. They all kind of came together so it was alright if he tried to approach them, right? Spitfire nudged at his trainer's leg to encourage him to go and greet those trainers. Gastly lightly pushed at his back and gave him a big supporting smile. Adam nodded, he would be brave! Who knows? The trainers looked like really good people. He took a deep breath and then walked over to them.
"H-Hello!" he stuttered in a weird way, his voice kind of breaking (he did just become a teen). So he made a little slip up, they wouldn't notice...hopefully, "is, is it true? There is a gym leader in this city? If, if you guys are going then...um could I come too? I am trainer and I want to battle her as well." While giving his speech his cheeks turned pink. He tried to concentrate on the boy rather than the girl since he wasn't very good with girls. The brown-haired girl was pretty which just made him all the more nervous.Current Team: Wild Pokemon:

Lydia Cross Dune's grin returned, his ears perking as some strange, short blond boy came up. "See Lydia? Here's a guy who knows what a champ in the making looks like! And he's willing to follow me to the end and watch me take down the Pendant City gym," He grabbed Adam in his arm, practically crushing the boy as he went on with a growing ego. "We'll head out as only the manliest of men do, and you'll be in love with me from the side lines, won't you Lydia?" He smirked with pride as Lydia just puffed out her face sarcastically.
"You're forgetting the part where this is supposed to be the strongest gymleader in the entire region, and you already lost two previous gym battles," She said low, not really amused by Dune's taunting.
"Ya, but's that's all in the past," He waved his free hand. "You're just jealous because I won our battle, and you can't admit it." Ego...
"I did not lose! Our battle got interrupted, so nobody won!" She shouted at him.
"Bye Lydia!" He dragged the poor boy behind him out of the pokemon center.
"Hey! Wait for me! Dune!" Lydia chased after.

Adam Angeal de la Tierra I don't have big dreams, I have big goals! When they arrived at the Pokemon Center, Gastly was floating close to Adam not saying much knowing that his new friend was upset. Adam tried to reach the Pokemon Center as soon as possible so that everyone's Pokemon (that were hurt) could be healed immediately. Nurse Joy noticed them and offered a kind smile. Adam was happy to see her, she could make their Pokemon feel better and hopefully Dune and Lydia would return to their normal selves once their Pokemon were healed. "Nurse Joy, we need to our Pokemon to be healed!" Adam called out as he rushed over to her counter. He reached back and presented her his Pokeball where his Spitfire was currently trying to rest. Nurse Joy nodded and immediately took his Pokemon waiting only for Dune and Lydia to present theirs.
Adam walked back towards a chair where he could sit down. Gastly accompanied him staying by his side. Adam looked up at the ghost with a small smile, "I'm kind of surprised you are still here...thank you for trying to help me while I was stuck on that web." Gastly smiled and then licked Adam's cheek causing the boy to shiver. "Gross!" Adam laughed while Gastly tried to lick him again. Adam's smile finally returned to him and for a brief moment he could forget about the pain in his chest. "You're the best, Gastly!" Adam rubbed the Pokemon's head.Current Team: Wild Pokemon:

  Evangeline Zegale
After the disposal of the "real" criminals in the reserve, Evangeline was hasty to free the prisoner pokemon and cooed them in a tender way to satisfy their emotional needs before bringing the injured to the pokemon center. A small amount of small talk was done between them, familiarities and greeting followed by a summary of the situation and its remedy. Then a waiting game began while she waited at the front desk beside her own personal pokemon, each receiving her own check up and treatments accordingly. Not much energy was spent on her part to fend off the "attackers". The wait was over once a little boy was escorted in by a gym-apprentice. "Mommy!" The little boy ran over. Evangeline instantly grew a big smile and knelled down with open arms to catch him.
"Henry," She chuckled. "How was your first day?" She asked him patiently, though he seemed eager to answer her.
"I did good! I fed all the pokemon, and then Miko showed me how to climb, and Roary showed me stringshot, and Lou said I was good with all the pokemon because they really liked me!" He rambled on in excitement. It was always a challenge to try and think of some way to keep her son occupied while Owen and Evangeline were away. He was a shy and sweet boy, and he would be heartbroken to know that there was some adventure he couldn't go to.
"Did you? I'm so proud!" She smiled at him. "Do you know if the gym had any visitors today?"
"Um.... I don't think so." He replied n an unsure tone. "Can I watch the next one too mommy? Can I, please!?"
"Of coarse you can," Evangeline gave in easily. "You're going to be the gymleader someday right?" The boy seemed proud to hear that.

Adam Angeal de la Tierra I don't have big dreams, I have big goals! Adam was being entertained by Gastly until he heard the doors to the Pokemon Center sliding open. He watched a pinked haired woman step inside the building with a handful of Pokemon with her. Adam remembered who she was, it was the lady that chased after the man who set the garden on fire. She was the one that rescued them. Adam peeked at the woman, she was very pretty which caused his shy behavior to immediately start up. For the next several minutes, he would take peeks at the pink-haired woman, she seemed to be waiting for Nurse Joy to heal the Pokemon she brought. He continued to peek because he was still debating whether to approach her or not. He had so many questions and she would probably be the only person that could answer them. He would blush every time he glanced at her. Gastly was tired of watching the young blonde boy so he decided to grab his attention by licking him again.
Adam shuddered when Gastly licked his whole face. He wiped his face trying to get the icky feeling to go away, "Okay! Okay!" Adam replied knowing what Gastly was trying to tell him; 'stop being a coward'. Adam stood up and then took a deep breath trying to prepare himself. He glanced at the pink-haired woman, there was someone with her. A small child was clinging to her and she was really affectionate with him. That's when Adam realized that the woman was a mother! Suddenly all his worries melted away and he wasn't afraid anymore. Mothers were great people, they were kind and would always smile when looking at you. Adam might become a blushing mess when around girls, but he was just find against mothers. He happily walked over to the pink-haired lady. "I'm sorry for interrupting, but you are the lady that helped us when we were stuck in that web," he smiled and bowed to her, "thank you for helping us if you hadn't come then we would have been in big trouble."
He looked up at her then briefly glanced at her son before returning to look at her. The boy had a pretty strong mom. "Are the Pokemon of the park okay? Were you able to stop that bad guy from hurting them?"Current Team: Wild Pokemon:

Lydia Cross Lydia looked up along with Dune as their strange new ally went over to... the gymleader? Both were just as surprised to see that the gymleader had a little kid--and that it was her son! Yet both waited it out. Their pokemon were in no condition to battle. But it was Dune who got the feeling first about having to wait until someone else battled the gymleader first. Withought warning, he body jumped up and marched over. "Hey! Where you going?" Lydia called after him, though remained seated. She sighed and stared a while, confused about his plan.
That's when her pokegear went off. "Huh? Ah! It's this thing..." She fumbled as she tried to figure out how to answer. "Hello...?""Howdy there Lydya!" It was Page! "Just wanned t'let ya know I'm right outside Eidolon Town. Miss Alder said ya'd be 'roun here for the gym. But I ain't seen ya! Battle them girls running the place an' said they ain't seen ya neither, too." She went on with some excitement."Ya," Lydia gave an awkward laugh. "I kinda got turned around and ended up in Pendant City instead," She scratched at her head. "So you already challenged the gym in Eidolon Town?""Righ more than that! Won me one of them fancy brooches y'get. And I caught me a fiesty lil' Nihdo-rhinah! Darn cute lil' blue thing, tell ya what! Helped me win the fight in th' gym! Ya'll gotta get one of thems!""Hey! That's great Page! I caught a couple of new pokemon too! A zorua and a ditto!" Lydia got more and more excited.
"M... Ma'am!" Dune called loud and nervously to Evangeline. "Y-you're the gymleader right? Then I want to battle you first thing tomorrow when my pokemon are rested and ready to go!" That was his big plan: blatantly announce it. Even Lydia sighed at how he acted."Hm. Not sure what them critters are, but I'll look 'em up in my doo-dad! Got'n lots better with all mine, so I'm righ' catch'n ya'll up! We'd be a team in no time like Papa! All us here!" It was great to hear her excited about training and battle when it was only a short time ago that she didn't know more than a handful of pokemon actually existed.

Evangeline looked up as a small boy came up, and smiled to reassure him. "They'll be fine," She said. "But it looks like my work is getting bigger now," She said, minding her son. He looked about four or five, just old enough to start school. "But what were you doing there anyway?" She inquired further, letting mothem and dustox take Henry off to be distracted. "And there's no need to bow. I'm only a gymleader," She stood again, glancing at gastly and giving it a wink of approval. Though, before she could get her answer in from the boy, a much larger one had come up with a demand. For a while, Evangeline blinked, unsure of how to process it. "Sure thing," She agreed generously. "A gymleader can't refuse a battle when it calls. I look forward to seeing your rules and strategy."

Lydia Cross Dune gulped hard and nodded. All that confidence this morning, all the talk and pep he had about winning the gym battle had shirked off him. He was naked of all assured feelings in his own ability. But he'd made his challenge. Tomorrow. The first one. His body buckled, and he was stiff and slow to walk away, unaware that Evangeline had inquired about their business in the reserve. Lydia cupped her hands onto her mouth to keep from laughing at him. There wasn't a doubt in her mind that he would end up losing to this gymleader. If she'd taken out the man behind that attack on the forest, there was no one she wasn't able to defeat. But then it dawned on her: would she be able to challenge Evangeline? It would have to be something she and her pokemon would have to agree to. Though, curious, she brought out her pokegear to investigate the Pendant City Gym. It was quite the surprise to learn that it was the challenger, and not the gymleader, who made the rules of the battle. Unintentionally, she began to think of a strategy of her own.

Adam Angeal de la Tierra I don't have big dreams, I have big goals! Adam smiled brightly after hearing the pretty pink-haired mom that the forest Pokemon would be okay. He glanced at her son again, a very young boy, but Adam was small himself just barely breaking into that teen phase. This small boy was very fortunate to have a gym leader as a mother and she looked really nice too, but to him all mothers were great so maybe he was being biased. The boy wandered off to play with two Bug-type Pokemon that he had never seen before. Adam quickly dig through his traveling bag in search of the special item that he was given by Professor Alder's assistant. He finally found the rectangular device and held it towards the two bug Pokemon that were playing with the gym leader's son. The pokedex started beeping and a picture of the first bug Pokemon appeared in the screen.
--Mothim, the Moth Pokémon, and the evolved form of a male Burmy. It has no particular habitat, but instead flies across the land, searching for its favorite nectar.
The device spoke with a robotic tone. The image on the screen displayed a full picture of Mothim as well as its stats, height, weight, and other interesting features. Adam moved his Pokedex so it was pointing at the other Bug-type Pokemon next to Mothim.
--Dustox, the Toxic Moth Pokémon. Dustox is the evolved form of Cascoon and is drawn toward bright light. When flapping its wings, it will scatter a poison dust.
Adam's mouth opened with a 'wow' as he was shown more information about Dustox. The Pokedex even had a feature that let you see where you could located a Dustox in the Phior region. This Pokedex really was the coolest, he would have to thank Professor Alder and her assistants for the wonderful gift.
Meanwhile, Gastly stared at the pink-haired woman feeling strangely drawn to her like some kind of attraction that he could not explain. When she noticed him and even winked at him, Gastly felt over joyed. He floated over to the pink-haired woman and started to move around her to express his happiness.
Adam was so engulfed in the Pokedex that he nearly forgot that he was suppose to be speaking with the gym leader. Once he realized that he was being rude, he turned to her again getting ready to apologize until Dune came over to stutter a challenge towards the pink-haired mom. Adam blinked, with everything that happened he completely forgot about the original plan: to challenge Pendent City's gym leader in order to obtain an official badge. Before he could make his own challenge, they were asked what they were doing in the park. Adam frowned and lowered his head.
"W-We had no business being there, Miss gym leader...I-I'm sorry, we went to your gym hoping to challenge you, but we were told that you were not present. We heard that you were in the park so we just rushed over there." Adam spoke with a tiny voice, but he was sure that the gym leader would be able to hear him especially since everything was so eerie quiet at the moment. "We saw that man doing bad things to the Pokemon, but we were no help at all...if, if you did not come when you did then we would be in really big trouble. Thank you for saving us and the Pokemon." He bowed again to her. He was still just a kid, there was nothing he could do or give to her to express his gratitude and somehow that hurt him because he felt powerless. Gastly floated over to him and nudge him before licking him again to cheer him up. Adam smiled at the Pokemon and petted him then turned to the gym leader again, "I would like to challenge you for a gym leader's badge." Current Team: Wild Pokemon:
