There's not much documented on Nikita's occupation when she travels. The things that can be explained however are her life events from when she was eleven years old up to now. Her father's side of the family is where she gets her inkling of Russian blood from, and she lived there for a bit as well, until forced to leave for her own safety and the safety of the other involved parties. When she was eleven years old, she attempted to kill her father with a handgun she found in the house, until stopped by her mother in time to avoid a lethal shot, instead hitting his arm with the bullet. When she was questioned on why she'd done it, she didn't give a reason, in fact, she barely spoke at all on the matter. It seemed like a spur of the moment activity. And so from there, she became a kind of ward of the country, having to be constantly watched. She was abandoned by her father, and her mother died when she was twelve, and so she was considered orphaned by forced emancipation, and started her journeys through foster homes and child services agents, none of which really cared an inkling about where she ended up.
Through her teenage years she's been arrested many times and had to be bailed by child services from juvenile, has had agents lie about her responsibility over her money (she actually can take care of it quite well, they just don't believe it), and had foster parents kick her out due to her apathetic style self-destruction. She's been known to take abuse from time to time in some houses, as well as from an occasional agent, but she's never reported it once, one because they would never take her word for it, and two because she saw no point in it. There was always a third reason however. She never let them get away with it.
Since the age of fourteen she's been diagnosed with mental instability. Of what kind, it hasn't been decided yet. She shows massive levels of passive aggression, acute aggression, and slight levels of insanity. She's incredibly aggressive in all ways, including violently, and one thing most people aren't able to report her on, is the fact that when you mess with her, she messes back, ten-fold. There is no in between in her head, merely "let it go" or "make them pay." Now however, this wasn't all bad. Unannounced to her agents, or anyone who knew her, was her newest employers. She was recruited secretly into a group called Organization X, gone missing for a couple of days without notice thanks to her status in the general public. Organization X is an underground group of various mercenaries and freelancers who take on various jobs, such as man-hunts and assassinations. Despite her inability to integrate into general society, she proved the perfect candidate with the perfect range of ability to become a member of the organization. With nothing to lose and money to earn, of course, Nikita accepted, even being sent immediately on her first mission to aide in an assassination completion.
Now as for why Nikita is in Mahora, having been sent to Japan finally by her latest child services agent, is on the note that she is still a minor as well as a psychologically unstable problem that needs to be heavily watched by adults and authority. So where better to send her than another country she may be familiar with, to an academy that would provide both education and a place to stay? The question only remains if she can remain there without stirring up trouble for herself.
Personality:
Nikita's personality is...incredibly difficult. She shows some antisocial behavior, as well as incredibly dangerous vigilante desire when it comes to being personally hurt and disregard for polite gesture. You should never really expect her to greet her fully aside from a passing hello, and she's not one for casual everyday physical contact or polite anything. She remains very distant from others, not sharing a lot about herself. When she's focused on something, she's actually pretty driven to get it done, and she's very forward with her suggestions and requests. If this wasn't done in such a disrespectful manner, this would probably be a good personality trait, too, but unfortunately, she's not the friendliest nor most polite girl when she's asking for something. It's hard to tell if anything really frightens her. Even in past abuse cases, while it hurt her at first, she eventually stopped showing much if any emotion about it after a while, giving her a more numbed emotional state.
She seems to extend her distance to physical intimacy. While she is human and has her urges, it's probably the worst mistake to assume that she wants a real relationship. She's been known to have flings, for whatever amount of time, but loyalty and closeness are among the things she tends to never show, and her abrasive attitude is generally an unwanted trait in one. She's been reported basically to have an unusual lack of socializing ability, usually brushing people off or turning people away with her attitude. She can seem semi-decent with socializing if a situation calls for her needing to be to get something, but otherwise it doesn't last.

Nikita has exceptionally high memory retention, and has been proven to be able to remember anything from words to number sequences on the spot when questioned, without any form of technique. Her mental capability seems to attribute to her slight telekinetic ability.
She is also a very skilled hacker, and it's not known to be very easy to keep secrets from her if they're tucked away in something electronic. This makes her a great investigative asset to Organization X, and anyone who hires her. There's also absolutely no files or stored information anywhere about her affiliation with the underground group. When she's doing a more underground or secretive job she wears a red X shaped mask that covers both her eyes. However she has the ability to see through the mask, and this only works for her and no one else who wears the mask, which has an anti-recognition enchantment.
